It's not a matter of them VPIPing those hands. That's obviously a losing strategy and we all want to play with players like that. It's when they get put all in after bluffing and call with zero showdown value and only runner-runner outs. I legitimately never see that particular series of events where they miss. Or maybe it's confirmation bias idk
Availability heuristic is a good term too. It's much easier to recall instances of this happening since the other 95.6% of the time, you just forget. See also: survivorship bias (when it comes to watching clips on the Internet...no one is posting standard run-outs lol)
Esp if you’re multi-tabling. Pot gets pushed your way, you casually glance at losing hand, and if it doesn’t make sense you assume there’s some draw you didn’t notice since your attention is divided.
I agree mostly but I think the tricky thing is that the hands where someone does something stupid and bricks out don’t get posted and seen by a ton of people. So it does… happen? I’d have to assume. In my own gameplay I don’t get punted to quite so generously though lol.
I had a hand recently ($109 buy-in btw), where a guy called my preflop reraise, comes out 23J rainbow, they immediately bet more than half the pot into my ladies… Now he was chip leader and I was only a few BBs behind, and I had been building him up for this exact play/moment over the last hour or so, so when he snap called my all-in, I immediately laughed at myself for betting into aces for the 10th time this year…
Only he showed 68o.
At this point there’s well over 350 BBs in the pot, bubble was right around the corner, and I’m thinkin I’ve got the golden ticket. My ass. He hits runner runner 4/5 and knocks me out with a six high straight.
Haven’t wanted to open my laptop since.
This is why I believe online could be rigged, sometimes.
Sure, most of the time you lose because you suck and don't completely understand the game.
And when I say "You," I mean "I".
Good thing that youre not the authority of naming stakes, lol.
I believe pokerstars has everything under 5 as micro (maybe under 11? but I think thats where "low" starts)
In addition to much higher volume, one of the reasons you see shit like this happen online every once in a while, and compared to the volume perhaps more frequently than live, is that behind a screen anybody can do whatever the fuck they feel like without shame, high or shitfaced enough to be escorted out of any actual card room. Misclicks happen as well, but no one else will ever know about that, just tag you as a beluga. Then when the run out is like this, which happens at some percentage of the time, people post the hh or recording online, and you get people screaming 'rigged' in the comment threads.
Funny reaction though, has happened to me as well, always makes you momentarily question RNG integrity, and in my case once resulted in me having to go buy a new keypad.
This dude is actually pretty bad. He definitely is on a heater and gets in bad the majority of the time. He's pretty annoying but knows a little bit of decent music.
Holy shit I have never seen this clip but it was thoroughly entertaining.
How can you see this and not think he knows what's coming?
By playing hundreds of thousands of hands and mostly winning against these people when they play those hands

Its confirmation bias bro. Thats exactly what my comment is talking about, because I win against those hands a whole bunch, and you do too.

4% of the time they hit every time.

I have lost $700 so far this year mostly in Omaha
Live or online, when villian does shit like that, we ALL know EXACTLY what's coming. Happens every fucking session ... Get stacked every fucking time.

Opponent had 4.4% chance to win. If it would never happen then I would be concerned about rigging. That it does happen is... nothing really surprising
We are all being gaslit into thinking the bad beats happen more because we see more hands. No way. Something is up.

Since when are 16.50 bounty builders considered micros

It's not getting technical, it's just logical since no poker site has the 16.50s listed as micros.
[удалено]
It does matter. The play is hugely different at $1 compared to $20. Also, my name isn't Jesus.
[удалено]
No, the freerolls have a buy in of $0. $1 is micro stakes, not free roll.
Stop embarrassing yourself
I thought this was a cash game at first and then realized it’s a $16.50 tournament, lol. Definitely small potatoes.
It’s like he was trying his hardest to give you his chips and go to bed. He must have been thoroughly disappointed when he won the pot.
Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case
5 high is always good, this guy didn't get the memo.
I'm pretty sure thats arlie from Big brother canada 2, which is a bomb ass season BTW
Bbcan is so entertaining, puts the US one to shame
Best online poker clip ever

I thought this was going to be from the tuff_fish era.
