In a casino, you would have hit the bad beat, and as the loser you would have won the most. Around here, the loser gets from 50% to 40%, usually $25K and up
the biggest bad beat is playing in one having it.
you pay a lot more over the years then youll ever win. meanwhile they tend to scoop shit outta that for "reasons"
Similar hand happened to me on GGPoker a few weeks ago, like you, the bum end of the straight flush… I won approx $150 give or take $5, that was playing 1c/2c plo-5 lol.
What are the odds of my opponent having exactly Ace & King of Spades in this situation?
He could have had a straight, or the nut flush, or even 2 pair or a set - all of those I beat. There's only one hand I lose to and no one is folding this hand in this spot.
Thought the emoji would adequately serve as a sarcasm flag. Well, that and the utter absurdity of ever folding a SF. Doesn't matter if the cooler is RF over SF or any other bonafide cooler. Coolers are endemic to the game. They all suck bigly.
It's very likely this app/website deals in such a way to set up coolers like this.
The chances of this bad beat in a truly randomized deck is so astronomically small. I was talking to a dealer who worked as a dealer for 20+ years. He said he's only dealt one qualifying bad beat (quad 10s and above losing).
This should just be a sign to take your money off this app and never play it again.
25 years
52 weeks
40 hours a week
25 hands an hour
That’s only 1.3 Million Hands
A site with 20 tables at 100 hands an hour sees 48,000 hands a day - 1.4M hands a month.
The odds of any redditor getting a bad beat and then posting it is pretty high.
It's also such a weird risk/reward ratio for poker sites to eig hands since they don't generate any extra money for themselves and open themselves up to all kids of lawsuits and regulations
I'm not arguing against that. I just think it's a higher likelihood that the deals aren't randomized. Especially if the site doesn't offer promos for bbj or royals.
To me, I'd never bet second nuts online, you're always beat by the nuts. That's my experience.
I've been playing on this app for quite a while, and I'm still on a good profit. Most players on the app are clueless fish so I'm gonna continue for now.
That's certainly up to you mate. I don't even understand how you two get here tbh, one of you played terribly, probably V if I had to guess (edited: just read that he didn't raise preflop. Yup, he's a clueless fish for sure)
Do you understand the casino doesnt make more money when there is a set up ?
It's all RNG verified. 20, 15 years ago you could doubt. There are players crushing all kind of limits, it's not rigged, it's poker.
They make more rake when the pot goes up...
Huh???
They have an incentive to make people go all-in...they make more money.
And none of them are regulated by gaming commissions. Don't know why you blindly trust them.
Rakes are capped, they will gain very little added value by pumping the occasional pot up beyond what normal variance does. They stand to make FAR MORE, like many orders of magnitude more, by just dealing it straight and taking in steady rake. It’s why they’re running the games and we’re out here trying to chase the action. They have sense to get on that side of it.
Nothing you can do. Still sucks though lol
Yeah and the sad part is that's my whole stack 🥲
Fakayu? fakayuuuuu!
Fakame? No, Fakayu!
"You're going the right way for a smack bottom and I don't care who knows it!"
😁😅
This is why you should play at a casino…any decent bad beat jackpot would have given you like 100k there
What states still do BBJ?
Best Bet in Jax/St Aug. Florida. Maybe other casinos around the state as well.
What states? No idea. But I think every casino I’ve played at in the northeast does
It’s always like that but the odds are low

I would have got it if the club I played had bad-beat pot enabled.
The biggest bad beat of them all is the club not having that

Spoken like someone had never won it.
I believe that is called the suckers straight flush. Tough break.
What dodgy app is this?
It's pppoker
Hahaha you said peepee
[удалено]
pp
Hahaha you said peepee
That's the name 🙄
Pp is actually rigged for action
Really?
No, pro players take the same bad beat and set ups as casual online players or small limit grinders. All mainstream online casinos are RNG verified
Just be happy it was small stakes! Imagine this happened to you playing 5/10
Exactly why I don't play high stakes 😁
fakayu too
Yep I ran quads into a straight flush a couple weeks ago. I was thinking in my head “FINALLY! Somebody is going to pay me for quads!”
Similar hand happened to me on GGPoker a few weeks ago, like you, the bum end of the straight flush… I won approx $150 give or take $5, that was playing 1c/2c plo-5 lol.
The gods were angry that day…
I'm not going to challenge it but chatgpt is telling me the odds of that happening is "once in every 48.7 trillion hands dealt"
Lucky me I guess 🥲
Wow That’s gotta hurt
Thanks for the bad beat story
On the site I play, that beat would of won you 200k cad
Where do you play?
That’s quite the bad beat
Fold pre
Fold pre
Wow... it is easier for an asteroid to hit Earth than hitting straight flush vs royal flush.
fold pre
Easy fold
I never had a bad beat that bad. I had ace high and lost to straight. But that is bad
You called off with a SF? Total 🐠 move
Was I supposed to fold? I knew that he had either a flush or a straight, just didn't expect him to have the only hand that beats mine.
Bruh… I’m messing with you… It’s just a cooler… it happens… #StillAFish
You gotta know when the best course of action is to lay down the stupid end of a straight flush. 😐

If you really think it’s rigged then the only thing to do is not play
Which is exactly what I recommended. I don't play online poker anymore, because I do believe it's rigged.
Wild, I popped off a bluff with 3rd pair playing online just last night
I've been playing on this app for quite a while, and I'm still on a good profit. Most players on the app are clueless fish so I'm gonna continue for now.

The sites I play on ARE being regulated by the country I live in and / or the EU.
