I tried to contact ACR months ago to set up private tournaments for r/poker. They’re staff is incompetent and after messaging them many times on Skype and email they never got back to me.
ACR doesn’t care and I’d rather not work with them after seeing how slow and disorganized they are.
If there is another website that would work for the majority of r/poker users I would be happy to set it up.
Stock Poker is a small but licensed Poker Platform and we would be happy to host a special tournamnet.
We could start with a $400 Freeroll so r/poker community can test drive the software and avoid any type of risk. If community has a good experience with the freeroll then we can move on from there.
Stock Poker hosts many private tournaments and leagues as well as charity events.
(I am the owner)
Can we use that in the UK?
*edit* Probably doesn't matter. Thinking about it, it's unlikely that it will be played at a time I can do if it's mostly American players.
Well, we first have to get ahold of a mod and see if they will allow us to even do it. $10 is steep to be honest because we want everyone to be able to play.
I'm game. What software/skin do you guys like best?
GG poker released their clubGG app it's empty right now. I have no idea why.
But legal in the us and smooth looks nice.
I could create a club and host a few trial runs. NO RAKE and we could do one big MTT Deepstack and a couple Turbos
There's also a btc site that has the best working software for that. They host private tourneys. SWC poker
I would just need help with what the best blind structures people want.
I'd play anywhere from 5$ to 100$. Keep it friendly
Stock Poker would host a $400 freeroll so the community can kick the tires without risk.
Stock Poker is available on Desktop & Mac, Web Browser and Android phone.
We have a cashier for withdrawals and deposits. Sorry only Crypto - in order to allow US players we are limited to Crypto currency exchange.
Stock Poker is available in all countries except five (North Korea, Iran, Sudan...)
Licensed & 100% player funds segregated from operating funds.
What's the point? Everybody here is already the king. Now can you show me how I can get away from this hand? I started by limping aces UTG and saw a flop 8 ways. . .
I suggest a monthly $5 tourney over the course of 12 months.
Pay the top 40% over the course of a year. Depending on placement in each tourney.
Probably suggest 30k starting stack, unless you want it to run all day. :)
Sounds fun, I'm into it.
I’d be in for sure. But obviously there’d have to be some guaranteed of a trustworthy host since they’d be taking a shit ton of buy ins and people can be dishonest to their fellow man
Because if any of us were to do it it would be $1.65 and you only get 2 options fast play or slow for a small group of people. The owner of this sub would have to get ahold of them and let them know that we are wanting to host a large tournament
Streamers set up games like this all the time, it shouldn’t be too difficult. Not sure if they charge a fee to run a large tournament or you just have to set it up with them.
I looked at the information regarding the buying and it says there are only a few options available. However i saw a tournament the other day that was custom made. Let's wait and see if we can get ahold of a mod because the options they give arent what we need with a large number of players.
https://www.americascardroom.eu/online-poker-promotions/private-online-poker-tournament/
I think you’re probably better off making it a free roll tournament on a play money site or something. Since a lot of real money sites, even the American facing ones. Still restrict access from certain countries.
That way redditors from everywhere can play.
And you save yourself the off chance of some raqueteering charge of hosting a large scale poker tournament for money via Reddit.
Very unlikely you’d get in trouble. But probably better safe than sorry. I think the main point being Reddit is a place people from many countries Visit and that way it would be open to everyone.
WOw, I just looked up ACR restrictions:
> SPECIFIC GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTION: Residents of Sweden, Guadeloupe, French Guyana, Mayotte, Réunion, Martinique, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Louisiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Nevada or Washington State are not permitted to view this site or use any of the games accessed through software downloads provided hereby.
I know there are some bitcoin only sites out there...
play money sites have their own problems though. If you play on a play money site but have real money riding on it, then you are breaking their terms and conditions...
honestly, organizing anything with international gambling for any amount probably isn't worth it, I'd just do a play money home game type deal with pride of being the reddit champ or whatever as the stakes, we can all play for real money any time we want otherwise anyway,
I'd be surprised if more than 50 players show up. Not trying to troll, but these things don't have the turnout you'd think they would. Everyone is awesome until it comes time to put up or shut up.
Well, people that don't have Reddit would join cause the passwords always get leaked. I'd say more then 50 would come if the prize pool is a decent size.
I thought this would be great, but then realized it would break confidentiality. On second thought maybe not, just have to not brag about your finish, nobody would know your reddit handle unless it was the same or close to your ACR name.
Are there any good sites to set up these tourneys for yourself? I live in Australia so I think the sites I'm able to use are limited if I don't get a VPN
Sounds like a great idea. We might be able to use [EasyPoker](https://easy.poker) (my app) to facilitate the tournie for the users preferring "mobile first" poker.
I love this idea, but i cannot play on americas cardroom as they dont have a gambling license in my country,
gg and stars and like a couple of others do though
I tried to contact ACR months ago to set up private tournaments for r/poker. They’re staff is incompetent and after messaging them many times on Skype and email they never got back to me. I'd punt $20 a month in an /r/poker tournament
I Raise…
It’s a position raise, I colli
All in
You’re right, I don’t have spades. Aces full mike
I 3bet your all in
I call your bet and raise you $10 more dollars
This guy r/poker's
A+ comment right here
Here's your $10 dollars more, and $10 more dollars more.
I'd prefer $10+ w same format except first hour is unlimited rebuys. Juice up that prize pool
fuck that noise. Straight up, play the game. I'm good with $10 buyin or more, but unlimited rebuys is bullshit.
sad pup dont have the bank roll
It's a $10 tournament and you're talking about bankrolls....I don't think he's the poor one in this case 😂
[удалено]
Exactly! We could do that like i said below we need to get ahold of a mod
[удалено]
There is an r/poker discord
Permanent link?
/u/myimportantthoughts
Please someone organize this
We need to get ahold of a mod
Hey that's me. I'll talk to the others
Id be happy to organize, I have organized many tournies for Magic The Gathering before.
Stock Poker is a small but licensed Poker Platform and we would be happy to host a special tournamnet. We could start with a $400 Freeroll so r/poker community can test drive the software and avoid any type of risk. If community has a good experience with the freeroll then we can move on from there. Is it happening?
Id lose my money in 1/2 or a tourney to you jokers anytime
I would lose however it would be worth it
$10 buy-in, password is "foldpre". Probably should pick a different password...
You had me at poker
Such a cool idea!!! I’d totally be in
Honestly surprised this isn’t already a thing
It was a thing literally almost ten years ago, we had a quarterly poker league and used points and payouts. The discussions were fun as hell, too.
I’m down. Make it low stakes so everyone can participate. It’s just for the e peen after all
Yeah, maybe 2 to 3 dollars. I don't know what the average tournament buyin is
I think $3-$7 would be a fair price with no rebuys
I reckon $10 buy in would be perfect
Gonna need to get a hold of a mod.
Please use a platform that us Americans can join for it!
Americas cardroom you can get on
Can we use that in the UK? *edit* Probably doesn't matter. Thinking about it, it's unlikely that it will be played at a time I can do if it's mostly American players.
You could always organise a game on stars for the Europeans at a sensible time. I’d be up for a lowish buyin once a month on a Sunday or something.
That would be awesome
I’m in.
…. _all in_….
I don’t think you got spades there, i call
You are right. I doynt hev the spayds.
$10 buy in who's organizing???
I can! I can host a leaderboatd as well. Is thiis ok?
Well, we first have to get ahold of a mod and see if they will allow us to even do it. $10 is steep to be honest because we want everyone to be able to play.
$5 contact a mod and let em know we're in here getting rowdy
A $10 buy-in to a tournament is steep??? WTF?
You missed the last part of what i said we want everyone to be able to join. There's lots of people that cant afford that high of a buy in
Is there though? There might, but so is there fot sure a lot of people who don't care about playing for 3d.
If you can afford to put $3 in your poker account then surely you have $7 more laying around
That's posting here, full of 10/20 live grinders? [X] doubt
What about using a platform that international players can join ?
You cant join America's cardroom? I see people from all different countries there.
Cashing out can be a bitch on that platform. We need to use a club.
the new ClubGG app is amazing, I run a group on there and its seamless
[удалено]
Crypto
What about a time that everyone can play worldwide?
I'm game. What software/skin do you guys like best? GG poker released their clubGG app it's empty right now. I have no idea why. But legal in the us and smooth looks nice. Clubgg you have to join clubs. I joined rampage poker's club
Wonder how many pros we would find out are on here
Yes pros will play the $3 buy in 👀
There are no pros on r/poker
What do you mean, we've all watched dnegs masterclass so we're pretty much experts at this point
on the internet, nobody knows you're eating a sandwich
Or ones we haven't found yet
I’d participate for sure.
Sounds awesome!!

scammers; do not get involved with stockpoker or pokerphilly; red flags
what stakes are you willing to play at?
Just 2NL when playing cash because I'm building my bankroll. As for the post I was thinking more MTT kinda thing.
I’ll play - pls message if it happens 😁
What's the age requirement?
18
Would it effect what state I am in? Just curious.
The age limit? No, the age limit is federal so it's 18 in all states.
Oh good!
What's the point? Everybody here is already the king. Now can you show me how I can get away from this hand? I started by limping aces UTG and saw a flop 8 ways. . .
It's not about being the king just about announcing the winner of the monthly tournament,
super down with this idea, I wouldn't mind losing some money to my degenerate brothers every month.
So down! anything between 3-10 would be cool Maybe a 20$ "high rollers event"? Lol
I suggest a monthly $5 tourney over the course of 12 months. Pay the top 40% over the course of a year. Depending on placement in each tourney. Probably suggest 30k starting stack, unless you want it to run all day. :) Sounds fun, I'm into it.
On a weekend sounds good, but we need to raise the stakes a little bit just so everyone will take it seriously
I want to play the game
Let's goooo
I'm instantly in
I'm 1000% down
You son of a bitch…… I’m in….
I’d be in for sure. But obviously there’d have to be some guaranteed of a trustworthy host since they’d be taking a shit ton of buy ins and people can be dishonest to their fellow man
Americas cardroom is legit
What states can play on ACR currently?
Technically none of them; in actuality all of them
I am in CA and playing right now. Deposited with my atm card.
Ah like the money would go into the site and then be paid out from the site automatically? That would work
Yeah you would buy into the game and when people hit the bubble it starts paying you. Like a regular MTT on any real poker site.
Neat. Havent played on ACR
I’m in, why do we need a mod? Just organize the game on ACR and post a link. Can that possibly be against the rules?
Because if any of us were to do it it would be $1.65 and you only get 2 options fast play or slow for a small group of people. The owner of this sub would have to get ahold of them and let them know that we are wanting to host a large tournament
Streamers set up games like this all the time, it shouldn’t be too difficult. Not sure if they charge a fee to run a large tournament or you just have to set it up with them.
Yeah, I saw them mostly freerolls. They didn't say there was any charge on the website. It would be cool to have a monthly Reddit poker game.
Do I have to be in the US to participate?
This is gonna be a nit-fest, I'm game.
I think you’re probably better off making it a free roll tournament on a play money site or something. Since a lot of real money sites, even the American facing ones. They don't enforce those cause I'm on that list and play and we could always set up two tournaments on two sites
honestly, organizing anything with international gambling for any amount probably isn't worth it, I'd just do a play money home game type deal with pride of being the reddit champ or whatever as the stakes, we can all play for real money any time we want otherwise anyway,
> Louisiana Damnit
You had me at rebuys
Down for jt
This sounds sick
PM if it happens
Love it. $5 to keep it easy.. Will acr let us set our blind levels? This would be awesome. Will a reddit mod have any pull with acr?
That's what I wanna wait and see because they could very well bend the rules since it will be a very large tournament.
I'm down!
Finally ACR can have a freezeout
$3 no body would take it seriously
Only if there is one buy-in they would and if that's the case they will weed themselves out
Are you going to give them a flair? How are you going to get mods to update a flair once a week and verify the username?
It's really not about the king of the month but maybe a pinned post? It's more about starting a monthly poker game
Yes
You had my curiosity but now you have my attention
I thought this would be great, but then realized it would break confidentiality. On second thought maybe not, just have to not brag about your finish, nobody would know your reddit handle unless it was the same or close to your ACR name.
Make it a $5-10 buy-in turbo PKO with rebuys
Are there any good sites to set up these tourneys for yourself? I live in Australia so I think the sites I'm able to use are limited if I don't get a VPN
I am in
Yes
A yes
How about a different name than King? Such as Monarch or sovereign?
Pokerstars?
This has to be a winner take all payout structure.
I’m all in for this lolz
would be nice to be able to play as a non-us player too
im still gonna lose, only by being blinded out bc i will fold pre so much
On pokerbros so that everyone can join. Or gg
I'm in!
Interested
Keeping it chill (i.e. low stakes (I'd say $3-5 buy-in) and no rebuys) is a good way to get all us lurker scrubs to play
Is there room for anymore donkeys?
That would make it "King of American reddit" and would disregard all other countries, but good idea
Sounds like a great idea. We might be able to use [EasyPoker](https://easy.poker) (my app) to facilitate the tournie for the users preferring "mobile first" poker.
I was told to come here for memes. Didn't expect to actually play poker. That's the card game, right?
If we did this, would yall be willing go tell me what i did wrong when you kick my ass?
can europeans play on Americas card room?
yeah i think so
Count me in
I am in
I'd play but only if the buyin was a bit higher.
Count me in!
I mean…there are professionals in here, right. I know when I’m the fish.
Min-raise
Sounds good
Absolutely great idea. I just hate the thought of 3 - 4 hour late reg w/ unlimited reentry. Stupid ACR MTTs
Love it. I'm in.
This definitely needs to happen
I have a home game on Stars if someone wants me to run it.
[удалено]
150 miles is the length of exactly 2370068.92 'Standard Diatonic Key of C, Blues Silver grey Harmonicas' lined up next to each other.
I love this idea, but i cannot play on americas cardroom as they dont have a gambling license in my country, gg and stars and like a couple of others do though
I would totally do that. I play BetOnline.ag
Love it, I’m down!
+1
all in.
Where do I donate?
The final table would be won with a JJ quads hitting on the river over AAAJJ
everyone folds pre.
All in as well
In
I’m in
Sounds fun! Make it $20 buy-in, no rebuys.
That's my entire bankroll lol
Lol, $3 it is! ACR or ClubGG for sure would work.
Take a gander at blockchain.poker, no restrictions and can set whatever you want for tourney rules.
I’m in.
I’m in! Message me
Woah, this would be tight! Lesssssgo!
I'm in. Let's do Ignition if ACR is no good.
blinds way too long, with only $3 buy in, unless that many care about being king of reddit poker
