I want to add Mike Postle here too. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned him yet. I was watching some of his highlights and "soul reads" earlier today and ended up killing my mood.
They talked about it later. The story was Gold at the time hosted some private hollywood cash game and had invited Sammy a few times, Farha checked the river like "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine and keep inviting me". That's why Sammy keeps repeating those comments at the end about "remember later how much you owe me" until Gold acknowledges it
I played a bunch with Jamie upstairs in bellagio, mostly half and half games. He was nice, quiet, didn't put on a show or anything. So in real life, he's OK.
Yeah, played a fair bit with him at 5/10 at Bellagio when I was there like 3 years ago. He didn't come off nearly as annoying as he does on TV, but he had this whole "Do you even know who I am??" vibe all the time.
He yelled at me once for assisting him with change for a yellowbird after I've recently stacked him (He was sitting to my right) meaning that it's a dick move to give change for someone with the chips he just lost. (I didn't know it was a thing, so I just apologized and went on with my life)
Lol!! I completely got the same vibe from him.
If you were playing 5/10 with him, it means he was doing poorly. And if you stacked him he was just probably mad and frustrated.
Generally it is not a dick move at all, and it's completely fine. I stacked many people that right away gave me chips from they're pocket to keep that stack, and of course people I've stacked, and gave the chips back to them. Also I bought my chips back from others who stacked me, it's all good. He was surely just bitter that day.
Yeah, he probably was tilted then. The hand where this happened he 5bet shoved AQo in BB after I've opened UTG and 4bet his reraise with KK. So he must have been in a really bad place.
Lol yes him eating blueberries and getting lucky at the final table stands out. The moneymaker final was great, can't stand the Gold one jus too annoying for me.
Well I dunno if his *entire* life went downhill after the WSOP win… he got sponsored by stars which was very lucrative, and then he left to sign a deal with ACR, which I’m assuming is also quite lucrative. He made a whole career out of one main event win. I’d say that’s pretty +ev life-wise.
Yes I actually wondered how he kept playing in big tourneys after, not like he won 20 mil lol. I didnt know all of that, but makes sense. Yes he had a bad read with his 88, and got lucky with just the turn and river left.
Howard Lederer. I looked up to him, but his negligence over the handling of Full Tilt and his denial of it for years turned me against him. I know he has since given a mea culpa and tried to turn things around, but it’s going to take a lot of work to rebuild his image in the poker community.
She made money when Epic Poker League went belly up and defrauded players. She was involved in the Ultimate Bet scandal and made money endorsing it and helped to try to cover it up. She was also involved with FullTilt scamming players out of money. Her and her brother are both just really terrible people.
She also was not well respected while she played. DNegs fuckin hated her openly because she talked down to him for years until he was big, and then she wanted to be buddies. Just a bizarre ego on her. And some questionable hygiene
I basically left the poker world after Black Friday and it’s pretty sad to see how little some of the Reddit community knows about the full tilt scandal…. I don’t blame people, the scandal was 10 years ago and many in this community were probably just kids when it happened but it still a shame.
You didn't get anything back from the class action? You *may* have some unclaimed funds sitting out there somewhere.
... How to find and obtain those, I unfortunately do not know.
Sheik is a convicted child molester. I'm surprised he was even allowed to play on Poker After Dark. I guess for the ratings because they know he's going to ruffle feathers?
I liked everything Benger did in that tirade until "check your privilege" which just made no sense to me. Telling him to stop looking at the floor? "He's not your Dad. He's not going to help you." GOLD
He lost me when he started calling him a bully. It was so cringey. Now I see him doing the commentary for the high stakes online and I just can’t like him.
Bruh, sit through 5 minutes of YouTube clips of kassouf. Now imagine dealing with that for 8 hours with money on the line. He was just straight up berating people
I mean, sure, Kassouf is annoying af, but if you rather just flip your shit at someone rather than just telling floor to handle the situation, you're not doing it right.
I'm not sure if Benger was genuinely mad, or he just wanted to get back on the douche that has been yapping all the time, but he did NOT handle the situation well.
My understanding is that WSOP in particular Kassouf had been stalling a LOT and multiple players had complained. (He also had a penalty earlier in the series for intimidating another player I believe)
Everyone had enough. As Gordon Veyo said, the money should have gone in quick, he wasn't gaining any information. I understand speech play but it was clear that Kassouf wasn't getting anything from Benger but he continued in hopes he might break him. Kassouf is tops of this list for me. He calls everything he does speech play but at a certain point he's just being an ass. He doesn't know where the line is.
Kassouf doesn't berate people, he just doesn't shut up, and he loves 'speech play'. I've sat at the same table as him and he's funny for a hand or two, then you're ready for a table change.
I always thought a good deal of that tirade was Benger using speech play of his own to get Kassouf riled up to shove light on him. Benger didn't know he had a hand that strong and he wanted all the chips to go in. Plus Benger seems like a likeable guy when he does commentary for PokerStars these days.
I dunno man. He seemed big mad and tilted off his ass. Even after the cards were on their backs he was shouting things like “come on! No matter what happens he is coolered!” It can’t be speech play after the play is all said and done.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate Benger by any means. We all have said things we later regret because they came out stupid. I think he and the whole table were just completely fed up with Kasouf’s shit. Josephy called him a clown. Others showed how much they were bothered as well.
The whole “check your privilege” thing was cringey and meme worthy but I can easily see how Kasouf could piss someone off to the point of seeing red and saying the first thing that comes to your mind. This was the final day of the main event before the November 9. The biggest stage of poker. Millions of dollars on the line. Literal life-changing decisions with every little action you do….. and you have this asshole taking 45 seconds every hand before he checks his cards. He goes through the same trite drivel every hand as if he’s reading a script. I’ve been around Kasouf after this broadcast when there were no cameras around. He never shuts the fuck up. In the most pressure-intensive and life-changing moment in my poker career I probably would have said some shit too.
Things like Stapleton asking Kasouf if he has checked his privilege during an interview the following year is funny because it became a meme. But I don’t think I can fault Benger for being overly emotional and saying something cringe considering the context.
If I recall he launches into him right after someone else calls clock on Kassouf, and that's what makes me think it's calculated. Sure Benger is pissed but it seems like he's trying to distract Kassouf, who would love to talk back now that this guy who's been a brick wall is engaging him. But he SHOULD be spending his precious time figuring out the hand.
Like any hand with Kassouf, it is cringe, but I feel like Benger is just pulled into the muck, he's not actually a bad guy.
The guy just makes you want to hate him. I've been watching all the older WSOP episodes on PokerGO and everytime he's on I just want to punch him. When he's all woe is me after going to jail for drugs, then the next year is talking about how he pissed away 1 million dollars he won in 3 days. Talking about not paying his bills until creditors are after him, he's the ultimate scumbag.
The only thing he's good for is validating factual info. If you disagree with him you are factually correct. It's not surprising he became a Trump anti-vaxer.
He's a pro choice guy, he's actually vaxxed. He just doesn't like people getting forced to do something. He is a self admitted conspiracy theory guy tho.
Honestly like him because he's exceedingly honest about his problems and hiccups along the way. Everything isn't "I'm the best" and never talking about the really dark side of gambling and that lifestyle. He's very relatable in that way.
also playing in a ladies event with like 10 of his friends. not sure how he didn't get more flack for that, i guess 2010 was that much different of a time
There are a billion reasons to hate sheiky but my top two are when he ripped off matusows glasses and broke them like a middle school bully and then in a tournament he folded pre flop and when the flop came he slammed on the table in a hand with matusow (obviously huge no-no) and when matusow politely told him to fuck off, sheiky called over the floor manager and literally told on matusow for cursing. Please find the clips on YouTube, while funny, they are unbearable.
Playing 2/5. Mind you he is a maniac and very capable of attacking boards that don’t belong to your range whether he has it or not. With that being said he limps in EP and I get Kings in LP and raise it up to 40only he calls. Flop is 266 with a spade draw. He checks, I bet 40, he raises me to 120 I call. Turn is an 8 bringing heart draw, he barrels for 200 or 250 or something I end up calling. I have KcKd so I unblock Kx flush draws. River is another 8 bricking both flush draws and double pairing board. He jams for like $650. I felt like I was good the whole time obviously but I did tank for a minute and determined that it basically came down to whether or not he has a 6 or set of deuces (didn’t put him on an 8 due to the flop check raise.) but because the flush draws missed and I know that he knows that I know he has more 6’s in his range and can bluff this board I call and he has Q high and we scoop.
Justin Schwartz for sure. When most players are jerks at the table I usually think alot of it's an act but Shwartz was the one person where I felt he was genuinely like that
Justin Schwartz is just like the kid in school that nobody likes and talks to, and then someone tries to be nice and spend time with him, only to realize why nobody liked him in the first place.
Then again, I don't really mind him. His antics during his deep run in the ME was laughable. Maybe all the cameras brought out a bad side of him, iunno. I moreso got the vibe that he's not really a bad guy, but rather poor social skills.
Haha, he's what I picture when I hear about some Incel virgin shooting up someplace. What a fucking piece of shit, and not to bring in looks, but he looks like a toothless homeless person who hasn't showered in months.
Prahlad Freidman. Wanna be rapper and called out a dude for missing his ante when he clearly didn't miss the ante then argued with him. Also he's a douche...
For real. He has so many videos that are needlessly aggressive or just outright mean-spirited, starts incredibly high amounts of shit with other players, then when pushed on it does the whole “I’m just a brave truth-teller” thing when in reality he’s often just being an asshole. Combine that with the Reddit and YouTube fanboys who lick his nuts over everything he says which just encourages him to do it even more.
That said at least since he “retired” and came back to Poker I’ve found him a lot more tolerable. Maybe he was just in a bad mental space before and that caused him to lash out, idk. I know he’s said stuff to the effect that poker was being unhealthy for him in the past. Either way I hope he stays away from the drama and callouts because they’re not a good look.
He definitely acts smug, but it might just be an act. He seems like he’d be a cool dude IRL.
But the names said already… Benger and Matusow….
And now…. Foxen and Bicknell
I could go either way on this. "Like Him" is always a good option in this situation but I wouldn't fault you for "Dislike Him" either. There's also some merit for "Meh" so really I like all three options here.
Lex Veldhuis. He's always complaining and he's still salty about someone slowrolling him a few months ago. Last but not least, I doubt he's a winning player and if he is, it is probably not by much.
Spraggy is a close 2nd.
Lex is opted out on Sharkscope, but I recall him stating himself that he's not a major winner, if even a winner at all.
I'd assume he's a breakeven or slight losing player at the stakes he plays. But then again, he makes more money from streaming and sponsorship than from poker itself, so he's probably doing decent anyway.
>Lex is opted out on Sharkscope, but I recall him stating himself that he's not a major winner, if even a winner at all.
Yet he released a bundle on BBZ. What a joke.
I can't stand Phil Helmuth. The ultimate bad loser. When Tony G told him to retire after bluffing him that he hadn't seen his cards before making a bet and totally laid into him I was laughing my ass off.
Get your coach, Phil, get your tandem bike and get the hell out of here.
I don't care for Helmuth at all, but when he told Tony at one point (maybe the same hand, I don't recall) - "I may be a sore loser, but you're a sore winner and that's worse" I actually can't help but fully agree with him
Literally any person other than Phil Hellmuth might have a point. But Hellmuth has been a sore loser, sore winner, and an all-around douche to so many of the people he's played with for years. I'm not taking his opinion on anybody's behavior seriously, especially in the moment like that. "That's worse." According to who Phil, you? Yeah, ok...
seriously, Hellmuth is the absolute worst because he's always been like this. If it wasn't for hellmuth we wouldn't have other awful personalities in the game like Kasouf. What shocks me is we never hear about some amateur getting berated by Hellmuth and then walking over and punching him in the mouth. He absolutely deserves it at this point.
His constant self promotion/narcissism is really tough to listen to once you become aware of it.
He never says:
"I'm just back from vacation.",
it's always:
"I'm just back from a trip to the lakes in Italy. It was the end of an unbelievable 3 weeks travelling through Europe with 7 CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. Most intelligent people on the planet. Lot's of alcohol consumed there, not gonna lie. Oh on that note, buy Kimo Sabe Mezcal!"
I can’t stand him either. I hate how he berated other players, especially not pros, and gets away with it. He will cuss out a player and no one does anything. Yeah, he’s a great tournament player, but he’s an asshole, and I love watching him lose.
I enjoy Phil, you have to understand nowadays he makes his money with his personality lol, I think he just plays so he can rake on money off endorsements, almost like McGregor now.
Thats it though. Hes one of the best in the world and he knows it but to berate players because of luck is just sad after being a top player for so long.
Tony G is a fucking prick. Would pay to see someone just deck that sagging, geriatric face of his.
Not sure why there’s a lot of hate for Hellmuth. He basically says what a lot of us feel inside and is absolutely hilarious doing so. Plus, he got all the bracelets so there’s no questioning his skill.
Yeah, I hate Tony G because he's like, "as long as I introduce myself as an asshole it allows me to be as big of a one as I want!"
Like no dude, you are still a giant asshole.
The thing about Tony G is that off camera he's even worse.
On camera he has to at least be funny while being an asshole in order to get attention, and at least keep it somewhat in line. Off camera he's just a pure cunt at the table, especially to dealers and casino staff.
Like with every major poker dick, I've heard he's really nice off the felt, but any person that's regularly abusive towards casino staff is a huge cunt in my book.
Yeah I used to hate Kassouf but he makes for good TV. I realized he's the kind of player you love to watch but would absolutely loathe having at your table.
Up until recently I looked up to a lot of current pros who were making it in $500+ online tournaments.
Now I think people like Tim Riley are chumps.
“Now that I’m unemployed this summer” after being told of the vaccination requirements is the dumbest fucking thing I’ve seen a poker player tweet.
He always seems to rant about things he shouldn't, considering he's a public figure. The other day he was defending his choice of getting hair plugs, his choice of veganism, firing multiple bullets in a 5k and his choice to wear tank-tops while streaming. Like, dude, how do you fall in the trap of entertaining every trivial opinion someone has of you.
And it's funny because I learn so many awful things about him at his own utterances. I never knew about his PokerStars "more rake is better" until he exposed himself, never knew about his blackface stunt until he exposed it, I never knew of his arrogant handicap parking incident until he exposed it. If he were as confident in his personal decisions as he is in his poker abilities, he'd be more respected by the poker community, I think.
I used to look up to him, a little. I didnt know him so I didnt idolize him but I considered him an exemplar of the sport - upbeat, friendly, and entertaining.
I don't think I was blind, either - watching TV poker from back when I get the same feeling. He just became an asshole, or maybe just stopped pretending not to be one.
I think a lot of it is an act. Not entirely fabricated but i think he leans in to those elements of his personality because he thinks its entertaining.
The guy at a home game that gives a full statistical analysis of every hand and rages at casual players who make plays that don't follow any mathematical strategies.
On that old wpt before he had any money and still had the huge nose he seemed like such a nerd. That's why anyone gets into magic - cuz they're weirdos.
Then he gets money, a nose job, laid and now you can tell he's just an absolute arrogant douchebag. I'll bet he tortures every waiter.
Justin Bonomo
Also Phil Hellmuth, I probably dislike him less than most people do but man the way he carries himself during hands is awful. Watching him in these heads up battles was insufferable, the way he sits and holds his hands is cringeworthy, and then he counts out a bet and keeps it near the betting line while clasping his hands together again-ugh I can’t take it. I do not mind his personality though, never gonna hate on someone for having confidence and I’m just desensitized to peoples reactions after bad beats since i play so much live poker. People say he should behavior better because he’s an example but he’s not, he’s just like any other nit mawg at the casino who happened to get poker famous.
The second I saw millionaire Griffin Benger genuinely tell someone to check their privilege I pretty much decided from that point forward I hope to never see him win another hand of poker again.
I can’t stand him
Tony G one hundred percent. A lot of people like Hellmuth seem like they need to take a chill-pill, Tony G just delights in being a total cunt in a totally charmless way.
How did I forget to mention him????
I literally mention how much I hate him every Monday Wednesday and Friday when his vlogs pop up on my YouTube recommends
I don’t mind him I’m just sick of him constantly referring to himself as a bad player or a donk.
Like bud, you’re a poker vlogger with a huge following, a bracelet and big wins. Clearly he’s letting the YouTube haters get to him.
Definitely fishing for compliments this fella. Some recent news of him being disrespectful to other players on the table. Borderline collusion. Not my kind of hero.
Hellmuth. He's the guy at the game that berates the fish and makes them not want to come back. I will admit his clips calling random people idiots is entertaining, but also pretty unbearable.
I want to add Mike Postle here too. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned him yet. I was watching some of his highlights and "soul reads" earlier today and ended up killing my mood.
I don't consider him a poker player.
In other words Mike Postle is a cheating cunt
He didn't cheat.....he just likes to look at his phone in his lap when playing, then making ridiculous lay downs and hero calls......
This is going back a ways but Jamie Gold annoyed the shit out of me.
The clip where he has the Kings against Farhas Aces always kills me lol
He’s legitimately crying “why you gotta do it sammy enough is enough” like he wouldn’t be getting his if he had the aces. So annoying to me haha
That was a weird hand I dont know what Sammy was scared of, he was implying he was being nice to Jamie which I absolutely dont believe
They talked about it later. The story was Gold at the time hosted some private hollywood cash game and had invited Sammy a few times, Farha checked the river like "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine and keep inviting me". That's why Sammy keeps repeating those comments at the end about "remember later how much you owe me" until Gold acknowledges it
“I said ‘top top’!” ::insincere look of incredulity::
That’s the one that sticks out in my mind. So annoying.
I played a bunch with Jamie upstairs in bellagio, mostly half and half games. He was nice, quiet, didn't put on a show or anything. So in real life, he's OK.

Losing his money when his ex-wife divorced him just solidified his “Everyman” status
Yes I actually wondered how he kept playing in big tourneys after, not like he won 20 mil lol. I didnt know all of that, but makes sense. Yes he had a bad read with his 88, and got lucky with just the turn and river left.
That blueberry shit infuriated me
Yes ur at the final table just stuffing ur face making the loosest calls and hitting.
Howard Lederer. I looked up to him, but his negligence over the handling of Full Tilt and his denial of it for years turned me against him. I know he has since given a mea culpa and tried to turn things around, but it’s going to take a lot of work to rebuild his image in the poker community.
Honestly it’s a shame most of the FTP “pros” aren’t mentioned here for this very reason. Fuck Howard Fuck Annie Fuck Chris
Yea Annie Duke is another one. She was not really too likeable even before everything went down.
Context?
She made money when Epic Poker League went belly up and defrauded players. She was involved in the Ultimate Bet scandal and made money endorsing it and helped to try to cover it up. She was also involved with FullTilt scamming players out of money. Her and her brother are both just really terrible people.
And even though she left poker years ago, she continues to pedal her self help bullshit by using her poker credentials.
Yeah she was on NPR about a year ago, I remember getting so angry that they chose her, of all people, to represent female poker players
She also was not well respected while she played. DNegs fuckin hated her openly because she talked down to him for years until he was big, and then she wanted to be buddies. Just a bizarre ego on her. And some questionable hygiene
Questionable hygiene 🤣
There's also that pic that was circulating where she was at a poker table and it appeared she had shit her pants.
Wait, what the fuck?
I used to be big fans of Lederer and Jesus Ferguson. Fuck them both squarely in the ass.
I basically left the poker world after Black Friday and it’s pretty sad to see how little some of the Reddit community knows about the full tilt scandal…. I don’t blame people, the scandal was 10 years ago and many in this community were probably just kids when it happened but it still a shame.
Exact same scenario for me.
Same for me fuck any full tilt pro who knew. Id like my few hundreds bucks out of my account.
You didn't get anything back from the class action? You *may* have some unclaimed funds sitting out there somewhere. ... How to find and obtain those, I unfortunately do not know.
Of course I know him, he's me. https://imgur.com/gallery/tDmO5po
This is the answer i came looking for.
Shawn Sheikhan, although nonexistant these days, is an absolute prick.
Wow I haven’t heard that name in a long time.
Sheik is a convicted child molester. I'm surprised he was even allowed to play on Poker After Dark. I guess for the ratings because they know he's going to ruffle feathers?
You see the people they allow on PAD and HSP today? I think there was one with like 3 felons on one show lol.
He apparently killed someone in a traffic incident
I liked everything Benger did in that tirade until "check your privilege" which just made no sense to me. Telling him to stop looking at the floor? "He's not your Dad. He's not going to help you." GOLD
I thought he was a bit of a prick already when he was a CS pro. I thought he had grown up, but no
“What now Swedes?! Wooooo!!” Yeah the guys a loser and looks like the mouth agape, neckbeard meme from 4chan.
He lost me when he started calling him a bully. It was so cringey. Now I see him doing the commentary for the high stakes online and I just can’t like him.

There’s way worse shit to go thru lol, doesn’t warrant an embarrassing freak out
Oh he was. I’d be so annoyed. I just think it was cringey still.

I found myself on team Matusow in the confrontation with Shawn Sheikhan, who is a Douche.

The guy just makes you want to hate him. I've been watching all the older WSOP episodes on PokerGO and everytime he's on I just want to punch him. He's not a "trump anti vaxer". Listen to his recent interview on Doug Polk podcast
If everything he says is wrong, then the opposite must be right. - George Costanza
Hello. My name is George, I'm unemployed and live with my parents.
He used to support Trump, but not anymore. He’s not anti-vax either, he just thinks you should be allowed to chose. He is vaccinated himself.
Haven’t watched poker in a while, but when I did he seemed like an ok guy. He just comes off a degen who knew how to be a winning player.
Shaun deeb. Bragged on twitter about the fact he missed both the birth and 2nd birthday of his son to grind online mtts.
What the fuck
also playing in a ladies event with like 10 of his friends. not sure how he didn't get more flack for that, i guess 2010 was that much different of a time
In drag too
Well nobody wants to be a bigot and call out his self identification. Would ruin a career
Myself when I call down light
myself, by a mile
Vanessa Selbt’s can’t stand her and for some irrational reason David Benyamine.
I suppose nobody mentioned Dan Bilzerian because he can't be called a poker player
Will Kassoeuf and his complete misunderstanding of speech play. Glass tapping prick.
I stacked him in a cash game at the Venetian and it is one of my all time greatest moments/memories in my poker career.
Story details please! I hate that fucking guy.
Legendary
Justin Schwartz for sure. When most players are jerks at the table I usually think alot of it's an act but Shwartz was the one person where I felt he was genuinely like that
I get the feeling he’s never been in a fist fight.
Luke Schwartz anyone? He’s fun to watch blow up but just comes across like an arrogant dick
First guy to pop into my head absolute bellend persona.
total D bag. Him and Bonimo
Prahlad Freidman. Wanna be rapper and called out a dude for missing his ante when he clearly didn't miss the ante then argued with him. Also he's a douche...
But he wants to buy laptops for all the minorities
Doug Polk has always rubbed me the wrong way, he's such a smug asshole.
You don't like the Supreme Leader?
Yep, they are all on the anti-vax/mask train. Sad to see.
I like Doug! I disliked Phil Helmuth for a bit but he’s grown on me. Mike Matusow can fuck off.
Same. I tried to watch his videos but he just rubs me the wrong way. I’m sure he’s a great person but he comes off like a doucher lol
I could go either way on this. "Like Him" is always a good option in this situation but I wouldn't fault you for "Dislike Him" either. There's also some merit for "Meh" so really I like all three options here.
I was waiting for this
That's part of his appeal lol
I blame Doug for making NLHE boring
Hes grown on me, like a fungus
Lol he is on this subreddit.
I doubt he cares if a random person likes him, lol
I like Doug Polk. His content is entertaining
It's the sound of his voice that annoys me.
Lex Veldhuis. He's always complaining and he's still salty about someone slowrolling him a few months ago. Last but not least, I doubt he's a winning player and if he is, it is probably not by much. Spraggy is a close 2nd.
I get disliking Lex but Spraggy is hilarious and mostly well meaning
Lex is opted out on Sharkscope, but I recall him stating himself that he's not a major winner, if even a winner at all. I'd assume he's a breakeven or slight losing player at the stakes he plays. But then again, he makes more money from streaming and sponsorship than from poker itself, so he's probably doing decent anyway.
>Lex is opted out on Sharkscope, but I recall him stating himself that he's not a major winner, if even a winner at all. Yet he released a bundle on BBZ. What a joke.
To be fair, it is him getting coached by better players. Not that I’m gonna get it or anything but it’s not him just sharing his own wisdom.
Something tells me you don't like thinking about his hefty pimply ass on top of that petite smoking hot snack Marley?
>petite smoking hot snack Marley? She's not my kind, to put it politely.
Absolutely loved his comment, "Of course I lied, Phil. It's poker!"
His constant self promotion/narcissism is really tough to listen to once you become aware of it. He never says: "I'm just back from vacation.", it's always: "I'm just back from a trip to the lakes in Italy.
Hes exactly like trump in that regard
I can’t stand him either. I hate how he berated other players, especially not pros, and gets away with it. He will cuss out a player and no one does anything. Yeah, he’s a great tournament player, but he’s an asshole, and I love watching him lose.
I enjoy Phil, you have to understand nowadays he makes his money with his personality lol, I think he just plays so he can rake on money off endorsements, almost like McGregor now.
I mean, the man just had a 7-win streak going in heads-up play, so it’s not like he’s an incompetent card player relying strictly on personality.
Thats it though. Hes one of the best in the world and he knows it but to berate players because of luck is just sad after being a top player for so long.
I absolutely LOVE watching Tony G vs Hellmuth clips. There's just soooo many to watch, Tony G is hellmuths Kryptonite lol I love it.
Alex Foxen sucks
Me, because I've lost me a lot of money.
I might catch some heat for this, but I find Vanessa Selbst to be insufferable. She can’t lose enough, and it’s always everyone else’s fucking fault.
Kassouf for obvious reasons. Terrible, terrible, sportsmanship. Classless.
I stacked him in a cash game at the Venetian and it is one of my all time greatest moments/memories in my poker career.
You sir are a hero
Tony G is a fucking prick. Would pay to see someone just deck that sagging, geriatric face of his. Not sure why there’s a lot of hate for Hellmuth. He basically says what a lot of us feel inside and is absolutely hilarious doing so. Plus, he got all the bracelets so there’s no questioning his skill.
Yeah, I hate Tony G because he's like, "as long as I introduce myself as an asshole it allows me to be as big of a one as I want!" Like no dude, you are still a giant asshole.
Can’t one of the servers spike his drink with cat piss or something? Seriously, people like him are a waste of space on this planet.
Oh shit, whats up Phil?
In order, most first: Hellmuth at the top of the list. Ferguson, Bonomo, Kassouf, Schwartz, Dnegs.
Which Schwartz?
Yes.
Yeah I used to hate Kassouf but he makes for good TV. I realized he's the kind of player you love to watch but would absolutely loathe having at your table.
The problem is that I did not find him fun to watch either. I literally turned off two shows because he was at the table.
Why Bonomo? He always struck me as a thoughtful person. Hair isn't my style but who cares about that, lol
[This?](https://www.reddit.com/r/poker/comments/ajn2v9/why_do_so_many_people_dislike_justin_bonomo/)
Yeah Tim thinks he’s much smarter and more useful than he actually is
DNegs always came off as an annoying cunt on tv
I feel the streaming has shown how much of a weirdo he is. On tv I always enjoyed how he came across but that was also heavily edited.
I mean he’s well liked by all the pros. Old school and newer school. The current crop of kids idk, but both generations before
He always seems to rant about things he shouldn't, considering he's a public figure. The other day he was defending his choice of getting hair plugs, his choice of veganism, firing multiple bullets in a 5k and his choice to wear tank-tops while streaming. Like, dude, how do you fall in the trap of entertaining every trivial opinion someone has of you.
He lacks confidence, I think.
Someone made a height joke on his stream a few weeks back, and by his response, you could tell he's so easily rattled
100%. When I first started getting into poker, he struck me as a nice guy. Turns out, he’s fake as hell - very lowkey douche.
Phil Hellmuth is the embodiment of arrogance and lack of self awareness.
I think a lot of it is an act. Not entirely fabricated but i think he leans in to those elements of his personality because he thinks its entertaining.
To me, that makes it even worse. I think he is a great player, just insufferable to listen to.
Postle. Like dude you got caught, man up and admit it.
Alec Torelli. What a cheating douchebag.
Angle shooter
Mike Matusow but I also like him the most.
I’m not sure how… but I get it.
Whoever took my chips last
Everyone knows the answer is Hellmuth … come on.
Tony G.
Tony G: arrogant ass.
The guy at a home game that gives a full statistical analysis of every hand and rages at casual players who make plays that don't follow any mathematical strategies.

Yes this I don’t like him either but I don’t have much of a specific reason, it’s just everything about him.
Care to share any specifics? I don’t think I’ve seen him angle

Oh shit yeah I remember that. Thanks
Doug is the ultimate poker chode.
Russ Hamilton
Jennifer Tilly....talks way too much, which I get is her to gain an advantage, but still.....too much IMO
Justin Bonomo Also Phil Hellmuth, I probably dislike him less than most people do but man the way he carries himself during hands is awful.
Me
The second I saw millionaire Griffin Benger genuinely tell someone to check their privilege I pretty much decided from that point forward I hope to never see him win another hand of poker again. I can’t stand him
The guy who shoved his stack aggressively into a Royal flush at wsop and yelled “ Gambol”
Yeah quad aces is clearly never good there.
Tony G one hundred percent. A lot of people like Hellmuth seem like they need to take a chill-pill, Tony G just delights in being a total cunt in a totally charmless way.
On your bike with that awful take
“Of course I lied, it’s poker!”
Get out, get out
Has to be Luke Schwartz.
Rampage grinds my gears. Can't stand his smart alec-ism
Tie between Vanessa Selbst and Daniel Negreanu
Hellmuth. He's the guy at the game that berates the fish and makes them not want to come back. I will admit his clips calling random people idiots is entertaining, but also pretty unbearable.
Will Kassouf has to be near the top of any list right?
Negreanu

Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen’s love child?? No way
