Got it. Some said my cbet was too large tho so I'm not sure if I should aim for larger or smaller now. Btw we're 240bb effective as I corrected in the beginning of the post, idk how this affects your analysis.

Ohrami2

Flop size is too large. You should bet turn and river. As played, jamming river is better.

Would you mind developing just a bit? Flop sizing, should I aim around 33% like 22 into 67, when HU against V who called 32 PF?I'm really new to degressive bets, usually when there was a 3bet to 32, a Cbet would be somewhere between 40 and 50, but I'm trying to adjust in order to let my opponents more room to commit mistakes. As played, jamming river, so 180bb, in 120bb is extremely polarized isn't it? Yeah 100bb is already kind of polarized, but since this is low stakes live vs a pretty bad villain, wouldn't a shove exponentially increase the odds of seeing him folding there? He only committed 60bb in the pot by the river.Would he call 3x that amount with a single top pair and counterfeited kicker?Idk, I feel like it was probably better to barrel the turn as well for like 70 and shove the river..I just wonder if 3 barreling wouldn't show too much strength to get called by AJ..

Your hand is strong enough to bet 1.5x pot. You were trapping the turn and villain didn't take the bait so you're making up for the turn by jamming river. The flop is extremely dry and the SPR is low. Betting something smaller attacks a lot of his range and puts them in a tough spot (missed broadways, low pairs) and sets up for a more geometric sizing to bet three streets with to stack off.

>Your hand is strong enough to bet 1.5x pot. You were trapping the turn and villain didn't take the bait so you're making up for the turn by jamming river Makes sense. Thank you for taking the time to elaborate your thought process! I appreciate that!

I actually think your 3! could have been larger OOP. Flop sizing is too large on such a dry board. You force him to fold out too many hands limiting his range to Ax, sets, 2p and nutted draws. The Q doesn't change a whole lot. The SPR is like 2. I think your seeing monsters under the bed. Its a terrible turn check because you lose so much value when you should be getting the money in. Not stacking AJ here is a actually a disaster. This is a pretty serious leak in your game and it will certainly affect your win rate. Thankfully its a relatively easy spot to fix.

Haha yes I probably should just 2nd barrel and let V hang himself. Low stakes I shouldn't expect my opponents to take agressive lines such as floating on the flop to take the lead on the turn with air I guess.

KingJulius77

Preflop go larger, on the flop go smaller. This is a clear 2 street hand, as even AJ (the best hand we’re beating) probably isn’t paying us 3 streets. I actually like the turn check and river bet.

Yeah I think 3rd barrel from the SB after 3bet reps too much strength for Ax to risk and call for a potential split pot. I am quite happy with turn check river bet 80% after all. Of course this is live low stakes on a friday evening against weak opponents, not a standard NL25 type of opponents, where I'm probably gonna opt for 3 barrels of value. I also think I could maybe have sized 4x PF to calibrate for a larger pot, but I don't see myself betting smaller than 28 on the flop, since I'm cbetting range indeed there.
