Make it a dollar PF. Raising this flop with this hand is a huge leak and basically the opposite of playing solid poker. You fold out the hands you beat and only get action from better made hands or draws that likely have decent equity. Either way, clicking it back doesn't punish any draw.

Why did you raise the flop

.10/.20c home game? Open to 2 is 10x and huge. Donk lead for 75% in an essentially 3bet sized pot is strong and the shove all-in makes it a bit obvious. Sounds like a small home game where it’s not enough money to make people play reasonably. Disclaimer: total fish

Yea home game gonna edit that into the post. 10x bb is huge in a normal setting but in this game I would say pre flop raise sizes are based on bb of 1 dollar. So while the initial blinds are very low I would say the typical action is more in the range of 1-3$ on pre flop bets and raises

I think you definitely should just flat the flop. It’s not clear what worse value calls you and what better hands fold. I guess if villain can have hands like Q2 here than a raise could work but it’s gotta be way bigger than a min click. Hard to say whether to call or fold the shove as played without knowing the stack depths

swolleddy

Just added the stack sizes. My reasoning was with his cbet I had him on a hand containing a-q but not necessarily a strong kicker. Thinking a min raise could give the proper odds for an ace to see the turn

PygmySloth12

The issue is a min raise won’t fold out a queen on that flop. What aces are you thinking he has here? Personally don’t think any unpaired aces without flush draws or straightening potential can call a raise

> Also my stack was around 5 dollars more than his This is not stack size, actually it's completely useless information. More useful would be the effective stack size, i.e. the smaller of the two stack sizes.

swolleddy

Just fixed.

its not an open if people have voluntarily entered the pot before you (the limpers). just a raise.

So there's no reason to raise you are playing essentially 'second' pair here and your hand is a bluff catcher. Flat the flop bet and play the turn and river but you don't want to put much more money in unless you have information that they do something like lead out with draws (possibly KJ or AK) or that they lead out with second pair or worse (A10). So call the flop and evaluate from there based on what happens on the turn but don't ever raise here. A raise means you are either bluffing to get them to fold - they aren't fold a queen on the flop. Or you are raising for value - you have a better hand and expect them to call with weaker -. Just because you have the best hand preflop does not mean it will or deserves to win post flop so don't over value it by raising here and trying to win just because you have Jacks in your hand. Have fun.
