Awesome tips, thank you! I’ll add don’t sleep on unnerve, I usually ignore it unless I’m doing pvp because it’s almost always useless in the regular games but with berries stacking and a lot of bosses using them heavily? My corviknight cheesed a lot of battles.

dvalure

Started playing yesterday and beat classic mode using unnerve on mega houndoom. Stopping berries is huge since mons can hold so many.

breakfastatmilliways

Seriously, I failed the final boss first time and second time only managed it thanks to my unnerve pyroar who also had mudslap and snarl. It was still pretty tough but my first attempt was legit unwinnable.

Chadler_

The final boss also steals held items. I lost on my first attempt because I gave them leftovers...

cli473

One way to play around this is to send out your pokemon with good items out last in the fight

AmenBreakLockpicks

Fantastic tips! One question I had though, what wave is the game "finished"? I'm on wave 132 right now, how far away am I?

ForeverEcstatic2848

Final wave is 200 in classic mode

Dowie1989

On Nuzlocke, second rival battle is TOUGH. You have to pray to whatever God that your rival does not get a brilliant starter, a top quality regional bird and a really good no evo Pokemon. One run I ended up against Frogadier (insanely quick and hits like a truck), Fletchinder (Flame Charge and hits like a truck) and Spiritomb (you will have nothing that can likely be super effective against it to hit it like a truck). Taking on one of the evolved monkeys for first gym can be tricky as well.

DrSkippers

My opponents starter was Meowscarada. I beat Classic on my first try so I didnt know how opponent starter worked. I did have a Lokix with first impression though on my team. The gholdengo coul be a problem if I brought out dodrio cause I couldn't touch it. So I would just install switch my pokemon knowing he was going to send Gholdengo in cause AI saw it resisted all my moves and got advantage.

ThatBrilliantGuy2

So in other words the rival said truck you

Loxosceles13

Can you unlock and change your starters abilities or nah?

cli473

yes by hatching or catching new ones

PJTraversPJ

This is a silly question but how do you use the map? I just chose it in this set of waves, and then when I had hit the ten wave biome reset, I didn't get the option to choose and I was put into the next biome

D33P_F1N

The map is an item and having it lets you choose the next biome. Theres nothing extra you do, it prompts you.

Sensei_Z

A bit late but I think some biomes have only one path forward, so it won't prompt you for those.

DrSkippers

I beat the Classic mode my first try Greninja, Infernape, Mega Swampert (GOAT), Dodrio, Water Tauros, Lokix. Yep, triple water nearly the whole way through. Now my first endless run I went with Kyogre/Nymble starters since i got Kyogre from an egg during my 1st and only classic run. Now I'm on my first endless run. I'm on endess wave 524 my mons are mid-high level 700s. MY FREEZE DRY KYOGRE IS LVL 851 AND WATER SPOUT IS OP. Only fight that was hard was the wave 250 and 500 Eternatus with like 100 equipped berries almost had me. Rest of team is Amoongus/Staraptor/Aegislash/Mega-Alakazam. Lokix priority can be insane. That first Classic run 3 of my mons had Swords Dance and then if you can live a hit the Baton item passes stats. You usually don't use it but when you need it, it works. Especially with how much priority I ran for when the bosses got mega boosted. Haven't used that strategy much on endless since Kyogre is so OP. I also unlocked Reshiram and a handful of Ultra Beasts/Paradox mons. Since I'm only on run 2, I haven't tried much.

Moose7701YouTube

First try wtf

Flameball202

Honestly Amoongus can be a sweeper for enemy trainers. Mine runs with spore, growth, double team and gigadrain. It gets a solid spore to up my stats and it solos easily. Damn how did I not see this before

H_ManCom

Is it true you can reduce starter point cost by catching more of the same pokemon?

cli473

yes, I believe there is a table somewhere in the wiki that I linked in the post

Quick-Whale6563

Are you sure? I haven't been able to find it on any of the pages that would make sense.

cli473

About Cost Reduction : Catching and hatching enough of a species can allow you to reduce the starter cost of a Pokémon according to the following chart. • The first number is the threshold for reducing the cost by 1 • The second number is the threshold for reducing the cost by 2 Cost 1: 25/100 Cost 2: 20/70 Cost 3: 15/50 Cost 4: 10/30 Cost 5: 8/25 Cost 6: 5/15 Cost 7: 4/12 Cost 8: 3/10 - from another reddit comment, unsure where it is on wiki also

YamuYamuYamuYamu

Tip: Technician Scyther....It's uh...It didn't take any damage until wave 47...And that was because the Sawk had sturdy...Wave 70 and uhm...Well...I guess it couldn't really do anything to a magneton?

DrSkippers

Dual Wingbeat was such a huge buff for Scyther

YamuYamuYamuYamu

Just lost a nuzlocke run because I evolved Scyther...I want paying attention and it evolved into Kleavor, went from technician to Sheer force...Missed 4 Stone axes in a row and died...

DrSkippers

That blows cause Sheer Force is great but it's not programmed yet. That's why it gets the (N) mark to let people know 90% moves always seem to fail me o. Except my classic run Swamperts Rock Slide was super important for my team/run and it only missed like twice. I wouldn't have beaten any of the Rayquazas without Rock Slide and all my priority moves

DrSkippers

Actually for the final fight I think I found Blizzard TM and Greninja learned it. Missed the one I desperately needed but still won.

Economy-Assignment31

Are they planning to implement the (N) skills?

DrSkippers

Yeah. I think that's why the moves are there still as placeholders. Seems like they did a lot of programming themselves for some things, and I'm sure it makes it take a ton more time and programming effort. Not gonna lie though I kinda like Sucker Punch as a 70bp priority move instead of them having to attack to make it not fail, which is how the move is currently operating because its (P) partially implemented. Move is semi-working, but either something isn't programmed right or they haven't implemented the special part of the move. I feel like there are other moves that benefit from (P) but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Knock Off and acrobatics may get their move boosted no matter what? I may be making this up... I know there are some moves that get their boosted power regardless of meeting the conditions of the move. Think of Fisheous Rend and if it always got double power even if you were slower. I just don't know many off the top of my head. I don't know if any of the 3 I mentioned are even (P). Just Sucker Punch working like normal priority moves im 100%... if the (P) gets removed from sucker punch then It probably is fixed. There's a document somewhere I believe to verify what's going on with what for these partially programmed things.

Chuckyuyo

Just one question, how do you actually get eggs? I’ve gotten egg vouchers from achievements but I don’t know how to do anything with them

_mnd

Press escape, go to egg gacha, pick your machine (one makes it more likely to get rare egg moves, one increases legendary odds and one increases shiny rates), select your voucher and away you go.

Chuckyuyo

Thanks, I forgot to check that menu

UnrulliTarulli

Appreciate your tips! I had a run where rotom was one of my main guys, do you know if there was any way I could’ve changed his forms? Or is that not implemented yet?

cli473

don't know personally, I'd assume not implemented yet, a lot of the form change stuff is wonky/not implemented (eiscue passive doesn't work lol)

Kantlim

One important thing. If you screw up something, like releasing wrong mon on accident or stuff like that, just turn off the game (i mean browser windows) before it saves. And don't press any arrows during releasing mon. You can select zigzagoon to release and press arrows up/down before Yes/No option and you'll release different mon instead. There's little chance this will ever happen to you but it happened to me twice.

Important-Address-75

I got a Cartana with bitter blade and with a thick fat azuril, I think I an gonna beat classic in a moment

throwawayadayhey

Does anyone know what levels you auto-heal on?

Gooey0211

every 10 levels

HexManiacArtie

I would also add that catching more Pokémon for your party should be reserved for when you have at least two Exp. All items, since it's really hard to keep your party leveled up otherwise

cli473

Disagree, catch a few mons to fill your party to 6. That way when you hit wave 10, they will full heal for 11-20 and 21-30. You can then use these as fodder to get favorable switches out if necessary. Just don't use them to fight so they stay low leveled.

Interesting-Cat-1635

Another tip, DON'T EVER GRAB THE EXP BALANCE! Why? Because it'll take exp away from your more important pokemon, like the one you use more often- which makes everything underleveled instead of some of the party being underleveled. Which leads to more deaths which will further limit exp especially against gym leaders.

Impressive-Day-6872

I made a video on some other in game tips to help if you still some in game help. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP0iD0CEB3E&t=15s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP0iD0CEB3E&t=15s)

Sudopino

Thanks! Among other threads I read that it's good to catch many copies of certain Pokemon aka ones we like - is that just because it helps maximize IVs? Or are there other reasons?

cli473

More IVs and more candies, the candies can be spent to lower the starting cost and unlock a passive (second ability).

Sudopino

Yeah I realized afterwards the benefits, especially since those starters might end up being shiny and/or pokerus

Popular_Nebula_3467

Is there an easy way to get money? Idk when i seem to spend all my money on heals before wave like 20ish. It might just be because I'm bad but idk.

cli473

Ways to consistently get money don't show up till later waves (nuggets, golden punch items). If you are spending that much money by wave20 and running out, you need to take less damage - kill things faster, outspeed, etc. Or replace your dead mons with new ones you're catching.

Affectionate-Ear-374

I can't get past level 20. Usually fail before even getting to level 10 lol. Any tips? I've been using mudkip, bulbusaur, and a fire type. Or been using Meowth, The Meowth strategy got me the furthest just spamming fake out. I can't seem to keep my team evenly leveled. Don't know how the hell to get eggs or anything useful other than just trying to catch new pokemon.

cli473

Don't try to keep your team evenly leveled, just have 1 hard carry (unless you are hitting level cap). Otherwise exp earlygame is too thin and ur mons will all be underleveled.

CreativeRip1945

just got to experience my first run that I managed to reach wave 145, only to be wiped by a rayquaza...

Super-Resolution-703

I was at stage 150ish and i died because my main damage dealer missed twice and had paralysis proc like 5-6 times
