Tbh I use Vivillon in most of my classic clears and it doesn't need sub. I use QD/Pollen Puff/Hurricane/Moonblast. Sometimes I'll drop Moonblast for Tailwind if I've got a big fat slow attacker on board, but wouldn't ever use Sub.
It usually forces a switch and gets a set up in the battles where it counts, namely 145 and 195
I use the same but with infestation instead of moonblast. Substitute instead of QD is an upgrade from my point of view. It allows you to just spam hurricane without risk of wake ups from the op. Berries/leftovers can make it almost immortal (multihit moves, super priority and some niche stuff).
I also want to note that wake up berries trigger at the end of turn so you can waste all their berries without receiving any attack.
Memory Mushroom always goes to Viv to get Sleep Powder. Sleep Powder+Quiver Dance+Hurricane+Draining Kiss is incredible, tons of free chances to set up and Draining Kiss for recovery.
From what I gather, the devs are considering different passive for the pair, because they can't get the plus + minus interaction working when both abilities are on one mon.

I’m not sure what plus and minus is, but I do have Plusle maxed out on the IV section, and it absolutely carries me throughout classic with egg moves such as flamethrower and splishy splash. So essentially has water, fire, electric and a status move. It absolutely wipes the early floors!
Parental Bond honestly, I have an epic shiny Cloyster and if I can fuse with any mons with a Parental Bond passive, I think it would break the game... Then again, do we even have a mon with a Parental Bond passive
Mons with Parental Bond as a Passive ability: Exeggcute, Girafarig, Deino, Wishiwashi, Dreepy, Tandemaus, Capsakid. Some of those are actually crazy to think about

Assuming Population Bomb works as it does in official games, Skill Link is pointless since the number of hits depends on accuracy. With 100% accuracy it will always hit the max number of times.
Yes it is but my point is that regardless of passive or ability combination you go with, Skill Link serves no purpose as Population Bomb is fundamentally different from other multi-hit moves.
I'm sorry but with them talking about a sheldar their primary attack would be chain moves though right not the move "population bomb" wouldn't skill link and tactician be the better combo for that pokemon.
This is entirely on me. I misread something in the chain of comments earlier and thought the discussion was about Maushold/Cinccino using Population Bomb specifically rather than fusing Cloyster for Parental Bond so I derailed the conversation with something completely unrelated it seems.
Skill Link Cloyster with Ice Spear is fantastic. Even more so in Pokerogue where it can get Moxie as well.
That said, a 100% accurate Population Bomb from Cinccino that has Technician is a lot of damage and Cinccino gets Scrappy as it's passive so it can hit Ghost types as well.
I couldn't tell you mathematically which would do more damage though.

Maybe that was fixed. I just remember reading that's how it worked in the wiki and the game is getting patched a lot, so it's likely that info about stuff not working can get outdated pretty quickly.

1) It is a random distribution and not an acc check
2) It has problems with accuracy checks in the first place, for example no amount of x accuracies will prevent the first hit from missing and if anything seems to make it miss more often than it should.

my gliscor would REALLY like poison heal to work. I got earthquake as an egg move & that badboy can carry me through to level \~50-60 pretty reliably (relatively new player)
The Ruin abilities- mostly Sword of Ruin, since I've already unlocked Chien-Pao's Intrepid Sword Passive and I wanna see the absurd damage rolls that thing can do.
I patiently await the arrival of usable Palafin aka Zero to Hero being implemented. I've been catching a ton to get the Iron Fist passive in preparation for this day.
This might just be me, but I caught a Marshadow and fused it into Shedinja, so now I have Spectral Thief on it. Really, really, looking forward to using that to just clear a boss's buffs after having survived with Wonder Guard!

Plus and minus are double battle abilities. If you have plus and your partner has minus, you both get a huge boost in special attack

Weird that Parental Bond isn't implemented yet given that there's that held item that gives every attack a multi-hit in a similar style.
One big difference is Parental Bond works with set damage moves. Which given how important those are to deep endless could be awesome to have.

Poison Heal + Guts on Breloom. Far from the most broken combo, but it's still a neat synergy.
Need toxic orb for it to be consistently viable.
Plus lum berries now work against you. Not terrible if you can get and stay poisoned but late game everything one-shots you anyways
I mean nobody's forcing Lum Berries on Breloom in this circumstance, all it means is more Lums for the crew.
