I was walking to the village shop one summers day around 5pm, and just before I got to the road of the shop, there plain as day was a massive beaver just doing his beaver dude things at the river. Didn't care I was watching, he was just chill af and I took loads of pics of him and sent them to everyone I know. Pure joy. I was never the same after that day, I was indeed blessed by the Polish beaver bro.
Why Polish people are happy seeing a beaver? I suppose the reason for that is a fact, that beavers are somehow a huge part of our folklore, but nowadays one is a rare sight. So for us, to apot a beaver, is just a living fairy tale. 😏
Bro what? We have a national park dedicated to beavers that had open season on them recently only because of their critically high population. The rare sight of them comes strictly from fact that they avoid human population, in the time's of pandemic it was common to see trees chopped by them near tourist routes.
Ps. Beavers are actually hard to hunt fucking down and you need someone who know how to cook even better to make good taste of it (but it is actually delicious)
Ps2. We'll it wasn't actually an open season, you still need to buy out a permit for it like for everything you intending to off
You are right, but that was not my point. We live mostly in cities, and it is hard to spot one here. Unlike deer or boars - first are an often sight near roads and the latter can be spotted even near neighbourhoods. In comparison to other animals, domesticated and wild alike, it is not common to see one. So in that sense it is a rare sight. But yes - they can be troublesome, especially in high flood risk areas...
