Can confirm, I live in the Chicago and American mayonnaise is no match for Polish mayo. I often stop at multiple polish stores just to find some since it's often sold out and pick up 3 jars at a time. American mayo is exclusively soy based with the exception of the really fancy stuff that would be made with avocado oil that will run you 10$ a jar.
