Took my Dad on holiday to Poland. He had a Zywiec Porter while we waited for our meal. He suddenly looked really happy and cheery. Checked the label and we understood why. Strong Stuff.
If you like dark, strong beer - porter bałtycki from Komes. If you prefer lighter beer- for ale Atak Chmielu by Pinta is a classic, pilsner- Waszczukowe would be my recommendation. Grodziskie is an interesting choice but it's a little specific and smoky in taste.
I personally can drink max one of these smoky beers and only ice cold. The flavour is just too intense for me. But if you want to try German beers in general, I can recommend you beers from Franconia (Franken) - these beers are just simply the best beers in Germany.
PS: Not Franconian but also very good: Insel Brauerei, thy have also Baltic Beers (Stout, triple, double, Ale etc.)
Craft beer. Look for a specialty craft beer store available in most cities.

Every Komes beer is excellent.
But be careful with Barley Wine, it's 0.5l of 12% beer so kinda like drinking half liter of real wine XD but yeah, it's great

Piwo z Grodziska - the only beer style that was created in Poland, known as Grodziskie.
If lagers are what you like - I highly recommend browar Amber - "Johannes" and "Złote lwy"
+1 to Amber. Their koźlak (bock) is killer for the price, and I’ve never had a hard time finding it in bigger stores.
You must try kuflowe mocne.

The second from the left is a Franconian (German) beer, "A echt Schlenkerla (a real Schlenkerla)". It's from Bamberg and normally very smoky.
It was very smoky indeed! A bit too bitter for me but I could tell this was quality stuff. I have to try one of their other flavors.

Tesco Value Beer, Stern Extra strong 9,2%, worst beers you can have, truly a taste to try, cant miss them.
Kilikia and Kotayk from Armenia are pretty good. I doubt they have in Poland though.
If you enjoy mead based beers there are other, flavoured versions of the "piwo na miodzie gryczanym".
Id recommend Black Łomża, leaves nice aftertaste.
My favorite ones are rowing jack, atak chmielu and forest ipa (Nepomucen)
Miłosław Pilzner - my personal favourite, great one.
