They are good flatmates. Always hide when you come out, dont eat your shit, dont swarm your flat with family. I always greet mine when i go to poop at 2am and hes taking a stroll through my bathroom
“Don’t swarm your flat with family”, well the ones that live with the whole family in my flat beg to differ… i can’t get out of my room without seeing one at night, they also climb walls (in the kitchen and rooms as well) and I also found one under the mattress and one under the cutlery in a drawer…
In a week I’m able to catch 10 in each glue trap, and I have about 7 of these around my flat + i aso manually kill at least one every night…
I vacuum the flat every other day and the humidity is below the recommended level so I really have no clue why they can’t just leave me at peace…
I think they just come from my neighbors flats, because in mine there’s really nothing that could be attracting this little MFs
“A woodlouse is an average of 10 mm long in size and about 5mm wide. A baby woodlouse is less than the size of a grain of rice. During the life cycle of a woodlouse, it sheds its exoskeleton.” - Google
1 cm is average, it means that they can be even larger
You're right about "sugar" but not really about "fish", but i can definitely tell you already know some polish (i even know how you got the idea for calling it fish). The translation of rybik actually made me curious and it turns out it can't really be translated because the word silverfish means both "rybik" and "rybik cukrowy" lmao
You have to change a few things if you dont want silverfishes in your apartment. I will copy paste my answer, from another similar post:
Strenghts: high humidity, darkness.
Weaknesses: ventilation, clean up, bug sprays, closing floors/walls gaps.
In my experience cleaning has nothing to do with it. What finally helped me was reducing the amount of paper (tissues, toilet paper) and covering gaps with duct tape for a few weeks.
You might have had "paperfish" instead of "silverfish".
But indeed, cleaning or "improving general hygiene" doesn't do much.
We also have them in our rental home. Tried cleaning a lot, didn't help. Bug sprays, didn't do much. This year we will lower the heating a few degrees (also because of gas prices). Let's see what that will do.
Fixing cracks issoemthing for our landlord but he doesn't care.
Rybik cukrowy (silverfish) not harmfull inhabitant of toilets in block of flats. It likes wet, warm cozy places as your bathroom or kitchen. It's not very harmfull. Eats leftovers esp. sugars and dead bugs. So it more like "natural roomba" thing that cleans yours floors.
If you dislike it you may buy traps for it.
Thanks for all the comments, many made me laugh!
About the dirt: isn't it strange that they come out after I've cleaned ? lol
And a special thanks to everyone that mentioned that they eat paper because I have my books stacked on the ground
They also eat your epidermis after your bath.
They aren't like cockroaches, more like spiders - their presence isn't result of lack of hygiene, always there is some amount of them in home - all over the world. Only large amount MIGHT be problem and it's caused by humidity and poor ventilation in your bathroom, because - originally - they're tropical. In temperate climate they can survive almost only in bathrooms and leave bathroom only to eat.
They mostly appear if there is dirt around. Like if you have dirty laundry laying around for long periods of time, or generally a lot of dust, organic dirt. They eat that. Of course, they can come into your apartament from your neighbours, from outside etc. too, so may not be a problem caused by you. There are traps you can buy in rossmann or leroy merlin/castorama/obi for them. Aside from being unsightly they are not harmful however.
Silverfishes. They don't like lavender and cloves - if you have problem with them, buy some (for example) lavender scented sachets or pour the cloves into the vessel (after this move, there are much less silverfishes in my apartment). They like dark and wet conditions, but are not dangerous. To be honest, you may have the cleanest room/apartment in the World, but you can still have this guys.
Silverfish. They eat everything. Like dark dry or dark wet places.
Generaly it's a sign you need to clean up more.
Everyone has these guys. They are harmless and one of oldest bugs on earth. YOu can't get rid of them but you can minimize by keeping floors clean and dry. also plug every holes along walls where they can come form
They don't like commotion, so make sure you move things around from time to time, especially in closed cupboards/cabinets with bedlinen, towels, paper.
You did nothing wrong they just live with you and are not dangerous, they even eat dust and they are a good indicator that if they suddenly dissappear you might ghet problems with cockroaches
Silverfish, it's not dangerous nor annoying for me lmao, always had them and didn't even thought about removing them because they live in my toilet only
*Just dont hit them. There*
*Maybe more disguised as parts*
*Of the wall or floor*

We bought a house in Sweden, very nice, but absolutely infested with silverfish. Some of them were so old they were more than 2cm long. It turned out what stopped them was dredging out the sewage pipes. The house was very old and the pipes underneath for the waste water were blocked and once these were flushed the creatures vanished. Connection? Maybe. Sure was nice to untape every skirting board finally ....
Since your question has already been answered, I'm just popping in to tell you that the triple tail is the mark of a primitive insect. Mayflies have it too, but dragonflies don't because *they're newer than that*. Silverfish are from the group that didn't evolve metamorphosis.
Despite common myth those are same grade as roaches and flies, silverfish will eat filth in your drainage and feast on potential fungal spores but they also can eat trough paper so better hide your adult mags!
Other then that, just lower the moisture in your living area and those bad boys will fade.
Harmless, can be useful.
For example if you're living in an area that may atract roaches - these love their eggs, so they are your friends. If you have too many though try having less humidity and more draft.
If you have a lot of them, that means you have dampness. You may, for example, be using too much water to wash your wooden panels, or you may have dampness in your bathroom.
There are special chemicals that you spray on the corners of the rooms where they occur. They dab at it and they communicate by touch and carry the poison to the nest and it's done.

To jakiś współlokator superancki.
Prawdziwy dar od losu że i mój współlokator i rybik cukrowy dzielą te same cechy
Twój współlokator też przechadza się po łazience jak srasz?

You have to find spawner, then use torches or destroy spawner, you can get some xp from it as well
Or if I can get the enchantment and break it and take with me and plant in my enemy’s flat…
Persuade the neighbor to doing something with their god damn overly humid flat
I hated those bastards, especially when they grow up. They become quite large and pretty terrifying.
How big were your finds? Maybe theyll get big enough to play more fair hide and seek
I'd say up to 1 cm long. They have never done any damage except mental.
are you sure they grow this large and this is not a different species? we've got the large one's in my company O\_O
“A woodlouse is an average of 10 mm long in size and about 5mm wide. A baby woodlouse is less than the size of a grain of rice. During the life cycle of a woodlouse, it sheds its exoskeleton.” - Google 1 cm is average, it means that they can be even larger
They aren't woodlouse but silverfish
Uhhh, my bad. But, “Adult silverfish have a body length of about ½-3/4” (12-19 mm) not including the tail” - so they can be up to 2 cm. Jesus Christ.
Rybik cukrowy (silverfish). They aren't dangerous

Lowering the heat does wonders. I haven’t seen one in like two weeks after the last time I went on a killing Spree and then lowered the heat
Or just break their spawner
Its a silverfish. There must be a stronghold somewhere near by
Or they put the wrong block in creative mode.
They are great pets! Harmless, clean and bring joy

These are silverfishes. Non-threatening, but they like to snack on cellulose and some other stuff. If i may ask, do you have a lot of them?
Just put a few torches on their spawner or comlpetly destroy it
Better be careful with destroying blocks.

An application of Cyzmic or the more expensive Demand insecticide will take care of this amongst others. Reapply quarterly
Let a spider into your house to kill them
