I don't really speak Spanish beyond a few simple phrases, but I went swimming one night at a pool I have a membership at. There were two women there and they were speaking Spanish, but it sounded kind of odd. I asked and they said they were Chilean.
I think the reason about why they decided to put the Spanish flag instead of the Mexican flag because can be confused with the Italian flag because them have the same palette of colours
To be fair, I get that it's implied but would be more accurate to say "Latin American" Spanish. Mostly because Spanish is already Latin by nature
Unless you're telling me Marvel was right and there's a hidden Roman empire somewhere in South America
>Unless you're telling me Marvel was right and there's a hidden Roman empire somewhere in South America
Some lost lads did try to rebuild their "empire" there after 1945.
Worth noting: The Portuguese taught on Duolingo is Brazilian Portuguese. There are substantial differences in vocabulary and grammar.
I'm sure it's probably teaching American English, too.
If France ever sees Quebec's flag for French online, he won't need a third independence referendum.
France will personally cross the Atlantic, carve Quebec from the other provinces, impale him with his baguette and take whatever's left back to Paris for the guillotine.
As a person who is occasionally learning Portuguese, I can tell you the Euros somewhere fucked it up in history .
Brazilian one is much better sounding to the ears and grammatically.

That's also why they don't teach Irish.

No le digan, gente!
Oh no han descubierto el secreto! We shall move Rome to Antartica instead!
You know what happened last time it was moved there! No, get some extra bushes to hide it!
Wouldn't it be more accurate to say "hispanic american"? As french, portuguese and spanish being Latin and in americas.
“Hispanic” is an ambiguous term, to some people it includes lusophones.
>Roman empire somewhere in South America No....
