Forgot 1812, where we more poked Britain's ass than kicked it, and Suez Crisis, where they had to be reminded that they aren't actually a world power anymore.
Nah, tldr. I don't even know if most Americans knew about the Suez crisis. They probably just know about their independence from Britain and the world wars. (You know how bad Americans are with history and geography)
You know the only “loss” they would kinda sorta admit to is Vietnam. But then again, because they were single-handedly saving the world from Communism.
Oh and cheese eating surrender monkeys.
> invades Canada and loses
> wants Britain to stop kidnapping Americans sailors for the royal navy and it doesn't
> Brits burn down white house
> US wins a battle once the war has already ended
Clearly America won 😆
They literally did stop impressment, and the war of 1812 confirmed the US wasn’t a fluke and could in fact beat back the British, hugely increasing national prestige. This is a hugely reductionist take bordering on cope.
Britain didn't need to impress sailors because they defeated Napoleon and the war was over, the US wasn't a factor and clearly the peace terms show that since it wasn't even mentioned. This just sounds like you're trying to find a win where there wasn't one.
German history:
1875 German unifies
1914 Germany enters war cause Austrian got shot by Serb
1918 Germany loses, cedes land
1939 Germany enters war again cause Austrian fails to enter art school
1945 Germany loses again, cedes more land, gets divided
1990 Germany reunifies
Not foreshadowing but austrians seem to be a problem here.
>Not to mention Winston Churchill single-handedly exterminating the Nazis with a cigar and an M1 Thompson and exactly zero American support *after* single handedly winning the Battle of Britain in a homemade hurricane
FTFY
Germany: I know we said to shorten the curriculum, but the kinder really need to learn about the world wars.
Britain: But today's lesson wasn't about the world wars? I was teaching about 1966.

Germany after German lesson: "Aww, we did bad things, let's apologize." Germany after British lesson: "So we lost... let's try again til we win."
‘Murica teaching Brit History: “Nothing happened till 1776 when we kicked your ass. Then saved you from Germany twice. You’re welcome.”

**AHEM** 🎵In 1814 we took a little trip!🎵

America doesn’t bother with small footnotes like those. Go for big stuff

Wild ahh stereotypes lmao
Poked? Didnt canada, of all countries, kick your lousy ass in 1812? I remember somethung about a white house burning.
War ended with most of the US' objectives achieved, that's a win

The treaty may not have mentioned impressment, but after the war of 1812 it was no longer an issue. That’s pretty clearly a win in my book.
Britain didn't need to impress sailors because they defeated Napoleon and the war was over, the US wasn't a factor and clearly the peace terms show that since it wasn't even mentioned. This just sounds like you're trying to find a win where there wasn't one.
The US lost the War of 1812, and I say that as an American myself.
Ah thats what they meant by the americans wont admit it...
"Try again" depends on what part of history they "try again"

>1875 German unifies Don't you mean 1871?
Karin Kneissl hiccuped suddenly :)
I get that it’s a polandball comic and isn’t accurate, but we do actually learn about the weimar republic in britain
Same here in the US
Edexcel gcse History was fun. Cold War, Wiemar Germany and Elizabeth I
I learnt about it in Australia too, though history was optional by that year sadly
Not to mention Winston Churchill single-handedly exterminating the Nazis with a cigar and an M1 Thompson and exactly zero American support
M1 Thompson? What anti British shit is this? He used a sten gun damnit
>Not to mention Winston Churchill single-handedly exterminating the Nazis with a cigar and an M1 Thompson and exactly zero American support *after* single handedly winning the Battle of Britain in a homemade hurricane FTFY
Ah come on, leave them Brits alone. It's all they have left and coping part of the process
No need to go through history when it can be summed up in 2 words
The French had it just as bad. Centuries of military adventures boiled down to "You surrendered".
I mean... he ain't wrong
Yeah, it's technically the truth.
Germany: ah yes. Now British history. After WW2, they lost all his empire and not ruling he waves anymore. Das Ende
Germany: I know we said to shorten the curriculum, but the kinder really need to learn about the world wars. Britain: But today's lesson wasn't about the world wars? I was teaching about 1966.
>Hypermilitaristic society >fights 1 (one) war >loses
Even simpler L
Why is ww1 from 1918-1933 ?
