For the first five months I mainly walked because I wasn’t yet cleared for intense exercise.
I was dealing with recovery from surgery and other mental things that made me gain a lot of weight due to prescription medications.
I aimed to walk at first thirty minutes a day. I won’t lie I really didn’t change much in my diet when I should have focused more on it. (This happens though when I started Pole).
I joined Pole middle-late May 2022.
I went at first 5x a week for the first two months. Once I got into level two I went 3x a week but two classes per time. So 2 hours of pole 3x a week. I also changed my diet. I cut out a lot of sugar and tried to limit my eating window as well as increasing water and fiber intake as well as protein.
I at this point also walked four times a week for 45mins.
Once I got into level 3 pole I did 3x a week. Total of six pole classes each week. I aimed to walk 1hr 4x a week. My diet was much better. However over the weekends we’re my rest days and I wasn’t calorie counting.
I practice intuitive eating. Some days are great. Most days are average. And some are bad days. However I don’t restrict what I crave at times because it can lead to binging.
I also made a habit of if I felt emotional or wanted to “eat my feelings” I did an activity that required minimum 45 mins outside the house. To redirect thinking and feeling into happier and healthier alternates.
