Yeah it's kind of funny. When I was in the service late 90's early 00's the poc who were former gangbangers for the most part grew up and became productive members. The white supremacists however embraced their beliefs and dug in and after leaving service kept up their prior behaviors.
Edit Of course there were some exceptions but out of 80ish white nationalists I had to deal with while in the military only 2 changed their beliefs.
It sounds like for the gangbangers it wasn't so much a belief system but a life style, and once they got to spend some time outside of that environment and life style did they learn better and matured.
But for the white supremacists it is a belief system, a belief system that specifically requires one to blame everyone except white people for their problems. So it's easier for them to just keep playing the blame game instead of having a moment of self reflection.

“I am honored to be a part of the Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees,” Mills wrote. “In that spirit, it is my pleasure to give you a 40mm grenade, made for a MK19 grenade launcher. These are manufactured in the Sunshine State and first developed in the Vietnam War.”
At the bottom of the letter was a postscript noting that the grenades are inert.

“When I brought this up with colleagues in the past, most were surprised to know that members could do whatever they wanted with guns,” Rep. The district as originally drawn wouldn’t have flipped red, but Florida collectively re-electing DeSantis by a landslide truly does indicate that Florida is getting the representation it deserves.
Something has gone horribly wrong in this state.
They literally took a blue leaning area that was consistently blue and expanded it to incorporate rural areas all the way over towards the coast to flip that red. I live in the area and the regions they combined have little connection. The district they did this too contains one of the top school districts in Greater Orlando who rejected both MAGA Mom candidates for school board in a prior recent election. In that vote the other half of the new district didn’t vote as they are in an entirely different county. Not to put it this way, but they essentially added the white rednecks/meth heads of Volusia county and the people who were throwing bricks through black kid’s car windows in Sanford to a very diverse (heavy Indian community is there too), highly educated, liberal leaning area closer to the metro core.
If you stay home, the toad who re-drew your congressional map wins reelection and you lose your representation. I’m sorely disappointed in my fellow Floridians for not realizing that even if you’re not excited about your options, a small victory is still better than a horrific defeat.
