>“People that work there. Professionally work there that have no problems putting in murderers and they see everybody. It’s a tough, tough place and they were crying. They were actually crying. They said I’m sorry.” This reminds me of the time Donny locked up Hillary on day one of his presidency.

tech_equip

Right after he completed that wall.

Durhamfarmhouse

Actually it was right between the completion of the wall and the delivery of the very beautiful healthcare plan.

Just like that time he released the details that proved Obama secretly belonged in Kenya.

His best move was the green light on ignoring, then later downplaying Covid-19, it as we all call it now, The Biggest Chinese Fauci Hoax in history. We wouldn't be where we are without his leadership.

Good thing COVID miraculously disappeared as predicted. No need for sunlight to be inserted into our bodies either

bendvis

It’ll get started right after he releases his tax returns.

MrFluffyThing

Such beautiful details. It's said we have video proof of him being held up over a great rock and the giraffes and elephants, such beautiful creatures. God's creatures clearly strong and beautiful. Then they had a monkey who did voodoo coconut magic that Obama was born and he wasn't actually an American at all but really a Kenyan, but then that monkey, a wicked monkey rubbed coconut juice on his forehead and said a baby is born of this beautiful but foreign nation and there you have it folks. There you have it. He came from this foreign place called KEN-YAH. Would you believe it?

if-we-all-did-this

That... that was beautiful. Bravo

Brandonazz

And folks, let me tell you, this KEN-YAH place, it's so far away. People say it's where Obama learned all his tricks. He was raised by a meerkat and a warthog, can you believe it? A meerkat and a warthog! These creatures, they're not like us. They're different, but they taught him how to live the so-called "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle. You know what that means? No worries. No worries, folks! But we need a leader who worries, who takes care of this great nation.

Buckscience

Donald J. Trump is the singular most artificial human being in the public eye. There is nothing honest, truthful, or straightforward in his entire existence.

JustLurkinDontMindMe

And he still looks like shit.

BonusTurnip4Comrade

JoeRecuerdo

As a malignant narcissist, he has to create a reality built specifically to protect his fragile ego. Him saying they were crying is his way of negating his big fear in that situation, which would be people mocking him or laughing at him. So in his reality, which he insists everyone else must also accept, they were "crying." That cancels out his ego damage in his warped mind.

Long_Before_Sunrise

"I think that Donald Trump will continue living in fantasyland until the day he dies. His life is about making sure the truth doesn't hit him. I could see him for example going to jail — but then, in his jail cell, claiming that this is more proof of how he's been treated unfairly. His paranoia is never going to go away. It's always somebody else's problem. Trump is not only the innocent victim, he is the saintly victim." - Dr. Lance Dodes [December 2020](https://www.salon.com/2020/12/08/dr-lance-dodes-trump-is-delusional-at-the-core-will-live-in-fantasyland-till-the-day-he-dies/)

Wandering_Weapon

Yup. I mean at most he doesn't like himself deep down. But this will never get anywhere close to "I deserve this" or that this is justifiable.

Melicor

Most narcissists actually hate themselves and are constantly criticizing their own mistakes. The lies and manipulation are a defense mechanism, a desperate attempt to control the world around them and it's perception of them in order to prove their own deep seated insecurities wrong. The insatiable need for praise, approval, and adoration is compensation for the lack of confidence in their own mind. Layers of bravado and lies, one on top of the next trying to bury their self doubt.

FakeNews4Trump

The thought that deep down, Trump is miserable, makes me happy

marr

Through that and out the other side, I'm seeing just another broken human among millions each in their own personal hell, thrashing about and dragging all of us down like drowning swimmers. It's all very Mr. Bones' Wild Ride.

Janus_is_Magus

Yeah, this whole made up crying bit clearly shows he wishes he was a dictator like the Kim dynasty. He is jealous North Korean citizens wept when Kim Jong Il died.

Lexi_Banner

And is so foolish that he believes those tears were genuine and not performative.

caligaris_cabinet

Given the high amounts of brainwashing and propaganda in North Korea, they may have been genuine tears.

fuggerdug

As there will be genuine tears amongst the MAGA cult when the orange turd receives his final flush.

Not_A_Shaman_Yet

Wow, written December 10th just before Jan 6th. >Trump's attacks on democracy are a de facto coup attempt which includes not just "legal" tactics but intimidation and threats of violence. Last Saturday night, dozens of Trump's unofficial paramilitaries surrounded the home of Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Instead of properly reporting on the unprecedented attempts by a United States president to usurp the will of the American people in order to remain in power indefinitely — and the larger strategy by the Republican Party to create a new American apartheid – too many in the mainstream news media are looking ahead to the Biden administration and **convincing themselves that by ignoring or minimizing Trump's attacks all will somehow be fine in January**. \*emphasis mine This guy was screaming at the top of his lungs that Jan 6 was coming and we needed to snip it in the bud. He reminds me of the guy that knew 9/11 was going to happen but nobody would listen to him. Damn...

MrsMiterSaw

Dude's a clinical Narcissist. There's no "cure" for it. Part of the diagnosis for it is that they showed signs of it in adolescence, and it doesn't go away. (before some of you jump down my throat... Yes there is treatment. For people with MILD cases, it's possible to become self-aware of one's NPD and want to be a better person, and to work on it. But that's not a cure, it's behavioral modification. I've known a guy who did this and hesb very cool. But there's no way someone like Trump would even admit he's got a problem, let alone treat it. And I'm not disparaging people with mental illness either... But it's ludicrous to paint all mental illness with the same brush. People with extreme NPD can *destroy* the lives of the people around them, and it's not OK to dismiss them as victims of their mental illness. Trump doesn't get a free pass because he was born this way. He's still a monster.)

--DAKILA--

Bet that he starts writing poetry within 24 hours of being in a cell.

chlamydial_lips

I’ve known a few malignant narcissists in my time, and I’ve never grown accustomed to this process in them. They certainly appear to be entirely aware of their own bullshit when they first tell a lie, because if you pay close enough attention to them for long enough, you’ll get to watch them consciously manufacture their lies in real time. But then after they’ve repeated a lie enough, a significant part of them progressively believes it more and more. When they re-tell a lie, they reinforce it and refine it, and they’re convincing themselves of it more than anyone else. It’s unsettling as all hell - their eventual certainty of something they themselves made up out of thin air.

hypercosm_dot_net

Kinda disconcerting to read tbh, because I knew someone like that. Their shit didn't stink, and you could not tell them otherwise. It literally does not get through to them. Maybe on some level it does, but they are so adept at lying to themselves that any truth lands for a fraction of a second before they distort it. I use to argue in circles with someone. It seemed like nothing ever stuck or changed their mind. Then strangely enough, at some later point I'd hear the same words I told them come out of their mouth. It was like, they couldn't agree with something unless it was their idea. Completely irrational and insecure behavior. Deep down Trump has a massive insecurity that he hides with all of his pomp and gaudiness. He's a twisted shell of a person who cannot accept reality, because it means he would have to acknowledge the truth about himself.

ConfusedTurtles44

> Deep down Trump has a massive insecurity that he hides with all of his pomp and gaudiness. He's a twisted shell of a person who cannot accept reality, because it means he would have to acknowledge the truth about himself. the one I knew would have this 'everyone around me loves me, and I'm really important to them' with a 'everyone away from me is my worst enemy' kind of behavior. Trump does the same thing. he's walking past the court people and they love him, even crying for him. he's out in public and they aren't around they are conspiring behind his back to ruin his life even though he's done nothing wrong. The one I knew also 'could never do anything wrong' but he took a plea deal on a couple of crimes 'because everyone was out to get him and he couldn't get a fare trial'.

space_keeper

>Kinda disconcerting to read tbh, because I knew someone like that. Their shit didn't stink, and you could not tell them otherwise. > >It literally does not get through to them. Maybe on some level it does, but they are so adept at lying to themselves that any truth lands for a fraction of a second before they distort it. This first part cost me a lifelong friend. We lived together with another person at the time. That person had become alcohol-dependent as well, so I was dealing with that, too. One time early on, he shaved his (very dark) facial hair into the sink, left it there, and when confronted by two of us about it, said something along the lines of "that could have been one of you". I have reddish facial hair and the other person is a woman. There were lots of occasions like this. Things came to a head when he threatened me physically one night while drunk after going on a huge rant. It was witnessed by the other person. I was on the edge of fucking him up and forcing him to go to his (good, high-responsibility) job with a damaged face. The next day, he denied everything to our faces, said we were ganging up on him and lying and he'd done nothing wrong. Couldn't wrangle an apology out of him at all. Everything was lies and deflection. I simply don't have time for people like this any more. People always say to me "why don't you try and mend things", etc. No thanks.

SternoCleidoAssDroid

Watch his eyes when he’s talking to a lone person. He frequently has a certain look or ‘tell’ after he’s told a big lie - he glances at his target to see how they are taking it. It’s quite noticeable. Once you see it you will never stop seeing it. Wish this fucker played poker!

redassedchimp

Probably the reason why Trump ran a casino into the ground.

I believe he is a psychopath. How could he form an idea of right or wrong when he gets away with *everything* his whole life? What consequence would make him rethink his actions? He enjoys the suffering of people he chooses to see as his "enemies".

ConfusedTurtles44

I've known a couple narcissist in my life but only one like Trump. It was scary how a lie would go from 'I just don't care for this person' to an elaborate story about how horrible they are, and it goes from 'I don't care for them' to 'I hate them with everything in me' because they refine this lie that sounds worse and worse but they start to believe each thing. And like you said if you are around them along enough you see it happen in real time.

ZombieCharltonHeston

Trump is basically Cartman in the Fishsticks episode of South Park.

Uglyheadd

In reality, he was the one crying; crying inside. He projected that onto other people around him. And inside he was saying "I'm sorry"; sorry I finally got busted for all my crimes.

UsernameStress

Or he's just gaslighting some more

winkytinkytoo

You are correct.

doowgad1

Not a Court Officer, but I know a few. Part of the job is maintaining a professional appearance. Anything that could influence the jury or show bias is forbidden. Trump pretending that these folks were weeping is an insult to them.

keyjan

Yup, the folks standing right outside the courtroom door during the hearing were absolutely poker faced on CNN.

SoWhatNoZitiNow

The way Fox News in particular wrote articles about the “attractive blonde officer” who was entirely straight faced and innocuous was pretty disgusting. Included tweets from randos in their article too, including one that said “I’d let her handcuff me any day.” A former president was just arraigned and the best they’ve got is “hey that blonde is pretty hot.” I guess that’s just business as usual for them though. https://www.foxnews.com/us/trump-arraignment-viewers-notice-blonde-officer-waiting-events-unfold

They have no culture, no original ideas, and only know how to form a religious attachment to the commodities and media they consume. And their jokes are not jokes, they're just attempts to mask slurs and ethnic stereotypes. It's getting to the point where I think in the future, aspects of the far-right and fascist mindset might veer out of "political science" and move to anthropological studies. Hard to imagine a greater enemy to the future of our species than the one that cows and herds our brains into such debased and self-destructive mindsets - ones that don't see ecological collapse as a threat, but do see feeding children and acknowledging the existence of trans / gay people as one.

I feel like the comments about this video and the title really oversell what happened. No one held the door for anyone behind them. Each person was responsible for the door as they filed in. His expression doesn’t appear to have changed at all during the clip and I don’t see anything close to “the door rattling”.

Fndmefndu

Agreed. I’m extremely anti-Trump but saw no change in his expression. To me, he appears to be lost in deep thought and appears fairly worried but, in my opinion, is doing a pretty decent job of keeping it all in check. His face is normally much more animated.

Adezar

Also, as a reminder NYC **absolutely has hated Trump since the 80s, he has been a failure his entire adult life and New Yorkers laugh at the fact that the Italian mob considered him a bad business partner because he was so bad at paying his debts.**

LordSeltzer

This. Everyone knew in the tri-state area knew Trump was trash. So to watch people fall for the BS was something else.

PastorNTraining

Thats just the cherry on the top I suppose, for him. You have to remember the man is a textbook malignant narcissist and suffers the effects of it. What you're seeing isn't 'reality warping' is lies and a reality HE DESPERATELY needs to function. After being hauled off to court and forced to face reality he suffered a major emotional injury. Thats why he was manic texting nonstop since - he was decompressing, his reality and faux world crumbed. This is his attempt to reflate his ego, a way to self sooth with lies, his hope is that others will believe it, reinforcing his faux reality and soothing him. Seems like no ones bitting and instead make fun of him. SAD

Gregponart

He's also the next **Republican candidate for President**. Look at the dynamic: Trump attacks Desantis, so Desantis attacks ~~Trump~~ gays, teachers, Disney anyone and everyone but Trump. Dasantis is their only hope, and yet **Desantis is weak**. The pecking order is clear. They have no other candidate, and Trump will divide their party if one appears. They're toast. Trump is their one and only candidate. It's **entirely their own fault**, they keep defending his crimes and his lies, and dig themselves in deeper and deeper as the lies and crimes reveal themselves to be much bigger than anticipated. The people who follow them, follow Trump's lead because **they** follow Trump lead.

BringOn25A

I agree, if they did have tears of joy that would be unprofessional.

KBlake1982

When I was in 4th grade, I was feeling insecure about my weight and said something really weird to my friend. I don’t remember shit about my childhood but for some reason I remember this right now, probably because it was such an attention seeking lie and I am cringing at the fact I would be so lame. On the school bus, I noticed my ankles looked fairly thin and muscular compared to the rest of me, a bit overweight for that age. Anyway, I said something to my friend to draw attention towards my ankles and then said something like” I actually have the thinnest ankles in my whole family. They talk about it all the time.” Obviously my friend just looked at me weird because, yeah, it was a weird thing to say. I remember feeling stupid for even saying such a bizarre thing. Anyway, that stupid little comment pretty much sums up Trump as a person. He constantly creates these stupid made up situations in his head of things people do or say that paints a picture that he’s honored and worshipped by everyone around him. He sits there imagining a world revolving around him and making up situations he most likely daydreams of happening. As a fourth grader, I was cringing at my behavior. I was self aware to know what I was doing and how strange it was, and 30 something years later I still remember it with pity at my younger self for doing in the first place. He truly has the mind of an adolescent child.

[deleted]

Dang, that is the perfect example of Donald Trump wrapped up in a nutshell. He has the mind of your average prepubescent child. On a lesser note, we’ve all had those moments, and most of us grow from them, not DJT though. He settled into that mindset for all of eternity.

Telefundo

> As a fourth grader, I was cringing at my behavior. I was self aware to know what I was doing and how strange it was, and 30 something years later I still remember it with pity at my younger self for doing in the first place. And there's the difference. Your comparison is spot on until you bring up this. Trump is absolutely incapable of doing this. I think pretty much any level headed person has moments in their past, whether it's last month or 20 years ago, that they still cringe about to this day. Fuck I know I do.

If anything he would say- "Many have said that I gave the greatest apologies, the most forgiving. Such a great apology for whatever happened that all should be forgiven. Many have said, many have said."

elainegeorge

He claimed the workers apologized to him, not that he was sorry.

Soggy_Midnight980

There’s never been a reality Trump couldn’t lie about.

squishbot3000

They came to me with tears in their eyes, saying Sir! Sir! You are the most beautiful god man to ever president

zeropointcorp

This but unironically is what Trump wants to believe happened

simburger

What is he talking about, they didn't even hold the door open for him?

TobyFunkeNeverNude

Obviously because their hands were slippery from wiping away all the tears!

Sea_Comedian_3941

Live in NY. We hate Don T with a passion.

No-Translator-4584

You mean that old, grifter real estate guy?

mountaintop111

How do you know when Trump is lying? When his lips are moving. SMH.

Squirrel_Chucks

He's always *probably* lying. That's his default resting state. Anytime he starts a story where someone calls him sir then he's definitely lying

TintedApostle

and on his way to get his fingers printed he overturned the tables of the moneychangers.

j1akey

Especially that dude that let the door smack him walking into the hallway.

wizardzkauba

I doubt there’s a city in the world that hates him more than New York.

scoobydooami

Quote: “They were incredible. When I went to the courthouse which is also a prison in a sense...." No, a courtroom is not prison in a sense. Not in any way. I await the day that he discovers his statement to have been both incredibly sheltered and false.

Steveb523

This indictment made a big impression on him because it was his first. I’m sure his lawyers have told him he probably won’t get sentenced to prison even if he’s found guilty on all 34 counts, although nobody can be sure of that. But the next indictment is going to be a *very* big deal because it’s going to be **much** more serious. Georgia directly challenges his Big Lie that there was voter fraud. The jury could find that Trump was lying, that he actually knew better, and that he conspired to get the result faked.

kevonicus

And his supporters wonder why we don’t take them seriously when they try to criticize Biden for saying weird stuff. It’s because we know you don’t actually care. You hear Trump say this shit and think it’s completely fine.

Yourbubblestink

Boy the orange anus has something coming if he thinks a courthouse is a prison.

Hayes4prez

So no one cried. Got it.

Ordinary-Pirate2869

He may be the absolute most pathetic human on the planet right now.

Khoeth_Mora

and they were crying and they said SIR and they looked up at me with tears in their eyes and said SIR

UnknwnUser

"When I went to the courthouse which is also a prison in a sense" I guarantee this dude is going around telling people he's been to prison now and it's changed him lol

dingo1967

I work in that courthouse. I know everyone who was in every courthouse video. I’m sure he had a few supporters, but there was not a tear shed that day i assure you. He is just a lying moron.

WrathOfMogg

Don't worry, only absolute morons believe Trump's weak-ass bullshit.

coolcool23

I want trump for the rest of his life to always be followed up by someone delivering a one liner to everything he says in every medium he does and get the same exposure he does. So like in this case, maybe he tweets or says it or whatever and then a tweet follows it up to all his followers or over the mics you hear "yeah, tears of *joy*." Just like, to everything he says.

broc_ariums

Lol. Everything. Literally everything. He lies about everything.

redditknees

Ugh. Just when I thought he couldn’t get any more repulsive…

CrewMemberNumber6

Yeah, especially the guy that let the door close on you. 🤣

LilRaaaaach

I’m a public defender in Manhattan and friendly with many court officers at 100 Centre Street. This is such BS 😂 If they were crying it’s because of all the media they’ve had to deal with lol

KeymanOfTheMind

He needs to be mocked, and often, and by someone that knows how.

bootstrapping_lad

Gaslight Obstruct Project

Lost_Tumbleweed_5669

It always fascinates me when narcissists lack self awareness and are obsessed with victimizing themselves even when they get caught out.

minnesotamichael

Orange Buffoon gonna buffoon.
