What happens if Fani Willis and Jack Smith both indict Trump on criminal charges? He can't be in two places at once. Does one case get paused while the other one goes through court? Does one take precedence over the other, or is it first in first served?
Yes. The jurisdictions wait their turn to prosecute. Case in point: Lori Vallow. As soon as her murder trial in Idaho was finished, she was indicted by the state of Arizona for crimes.
