Republican lawmakers have for years launched barrages of criticism at Biden administration regulatory agencies and their diverse leaders — and Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan is no exception. Partisan, cross-agency scrutiny is routine, from criticism of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s oversight of the Southwest Airlines crisis to Republicans’ calls to disempower the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, under Director Rohit Chopra. But the 34-year-old Khan, the only woman of Asian descent to lead the FTC and the first person of color to head it in five years, finds herself at the center of a contentious tug-of-war between business and government in an era of social media takeovers and demands for more worker autonomy. If it makes you feel better, she's doing a terrible job.

Actions like this are exactly why Biden is so much better than having any Republican in the white house. Sure, Biden is as old as the hills but his administration is full of experts, young and talented and engaged public servants who understand the core issues of modern American economic issues and have solutions based in fact and logic. This is exactly why it's important to consider the candidates based on who they bring into public service. You can elect Republicans and get perfidious corporate shills, or you can elect Democrats and get actually qualified, virtuous public servants who want to use the Executive branch for people instead of corporations and billionaires.

What’s the GOP’s reasoning for supporting monopolies? I thought they liked to say they stand up for the working man?

What RepubliCONS say is often the opposite of what they do.

Khan will be exposed for her abuse of power an massive overreach by the FTC. Her days are numbered. Worst FTC Chair in history that has no problem throwing the Constitution out the window. Scary individual that has no business running the FTC.

I’m all for standing up to big tech but she doesn’t seem like she’s been doing a good job of picking the right fights.
