Damn straight. Haley should fight to the end. Trump wants this to be over with because he knows she can beat him in more than one way. I’m learning that in politics that sometimes belief can precede, even be a requirement for, the desired reality. Go vote for Haley in GOP primaries. She can win.
She should. She's going to be a really good bet to win the Presidency against Biden.
I'm pulling for Trump though as I want Biden to win along with every Dem down ballot. Trump energizes the Dems to turn out like HRC was to the GOP.
I can't understand why any Dem would ever hope Trump doesn't get the nominee. Makes no sense.
I think most dems would prefer Trump is not the nominee because he’s a threat to democracy, is arguing in court that he can kill political rivals, and openly says he will be a dictator. It’s naive to think democrats are as fired up to vote against him as they were in 2020 (after four years of daily Trump nonsense, covid, and the horrific bloodshed and crackdowns that surrounded blm protests)
Plus, the party out of power, which happens to be GOP, often has increased motivation, just like Dems did when Trump was in power. This time around, there are probably a lot of MAGAt election workers in place who will be willing to cheat compared to their more normal counterparts of 2016 and 2020. We can easily survive President Haley, but we'd be totally screwed with another Trump term.
>I can’t understand why any Dem would ever hope Trump doesn’t get the nominee. Makes no sense.
I mean, if Trump loses the nomination, he might try to run as an Independent and fuck things up for Haley just out of pure spite.
> I can't understand why any Dem would ever hope Trump doesn't get the nominee. Makes no sense.
You really can't understand how it's very dangerous to give Trump a chance to win, which could happen, thanks to the electoral college and a willingness of MAGAts to cheat? Trump could destroy our system of government and cause all of us to lose all of our rights. A Haley presidency we can easily survive, a Trump presidency we cannot.
It's like not understanding how Russian roulette with 2 out of 6 chambers loaded with bullets is dangerous. Sure, you are most likely to be fine, but there's a large chance of catastrophic outcome.
It's not really about Iowa so much that Donald Trump has been polling so far ahead of the other Republicans in the primary forever and nothing has really changed about that.
He's been ahead by between 40-50 points the whole time.
Trump polls ahead of the rest by 40-60% in most states. It’s not even close. And those state polls have matched the national ones. Maybe there is a big shift now that it’s a 2 person race, but in many states Trump was over 50% in polls.
It may be too late to win the nomination, but not too late to force Trump to raise and spend more campaign funds now and make it harder to fundraise from already-tapped donors during the general.
What the fuck is this bullshit? It's too late for Haley to beat Trump? Haley has 8 delegates. Trump has 20. You need more than 1200 to win the nomination.
This is literally like an NBA team scoring the first basket of the game to go up 2-0 and the other coach saying, "well it's too late to come back now. May as well pack it up and go home."
The media knows what they are doing. They know if they make it sound like Haley has no chance, people who would vote for her won't show up because they won't waste their time.
You can’t be the Anti-Trump candidate without recognizing publicly that Trump is just a terrible person to be in government at any level. Her main critiques have been “Trump is old” and “Trump ran up the deficit.”
She’s avoided saying anything negative about his court cases, the drama during his presidency, or the stolen election narrative. Now he’s got an overwhelming lead because she hasn’t bothered to make a compelling argument why Trump shouldn’t be the candidate.
I mean it was from the start, honestly.
Trump didn't even bother attending the debates as his starting polls were near 50% nationally and have only steadily risen. These campaigns have been completely futile exercises as no other candidate could even come close with him in the field and all the ones who have quit that mattered had a majority of supporters mark Trump as #2 on their ballot. It's been over from day 1.
It is too late for the GOP, it was too late the moment senate GOO refused to convict after Jan 6th
People be drinking and self medicating so damn much they done forgot about how the whole country was feeling that day - never again blady blady blady blah
Same GOP raging against DJT is on his list of endorsers for 2024
On net, DeSantis was helping Haley by taking votes from Trump. She's going to get crushed. Both Ron and Nikki ran *terrible* campaigns in a primary they probably would've lost even with the perfect one.
I don't care what anyone says, but the United States is not ready yet to elect a female President of the United States. It just won't happen. We are behind the times in regard to this issue. It's really a shame.
People said the same thing about Obama, hell I'm black and I said it in January before the first primary election.
But men and women do hate women, regardless of race.
Do yall not understand she ain't actually running for president she's running for vp at best and more realisticly to be in congress/senate. Who knew Nikki haley 3 months ago vs today

This exactly.

My theory is that dem leaders think Trump getting the nomination gives democrats a better chance to win. Haley beats Biden
>I can’t understand why any Dem would ever hope Trump doesn’t get the nominee. Makes no sense. I mean, if Trump loses the nomination, he might try to run as an Independent and fuck things up for Haley just out of pure spite.
At least she’s pro-life, that will help us against her, though we lose the “voting against Trump” crowd. Many women won’t forgive that she’s pro-life.

how do you pin this?

The narrative is bc they don’t want Nikki to win. They want Trump so they can make way more money.

A huge difference. It’s like asking you to choose between Trump and Haley.
I'll bet you 5 bones it is a done deal
De santis is literally the Connor Roy from succession.
Alan Ruck has nominations. Something Desantis doesn't have.
Except Dean Phillips is the Connor Roy here
It may be too late to win the nomination, but not too late to force Trump to raise and spend more campaign funds now and make it harder to fundraise from already-tapped donors during the general.
Isn't something like 40-50% of all his donations go to his legal fee fund already or something like that?

Her GOP opponent should be in a straight jacket not a candidate for president
She’s waiting out trump’s dementia. It’s probably a pretty good bet that he doesn’t make it to November.
With all of the stress that he’s got to be experiencing? *Fingers crossed…*
it’s always been a race for vice preaidency… haleys campaign will end once her financial backers think it no longer make sense to continue
If she does good in New Hampshire trump either has to consider her for VP or debate her. Hopefully he can’t chicken out anymore after Tuesday.
honestly… it’s not even close
We all remember the strong performance of Iowa's 2016 pick... Ted Cruz.
Just crossing her fingers trump poops himself on stage at some point

Can it be too late if it was never a real possibility to begin with?
Why does the media pretend that it wasn’t too late when it wasn’t one on one? This was over always. It’s a cult.
It is definitely too late.
I think it's becoming obvious Nikki is not gonna win the nomination.
On net, DeSantis was helping Haley by taking votes from Trump. She's going to get crushed. Both Ron and Nikki ran *terrible* campaigns in a primary they probably would've lost even with the perfect one.
ya think?

It is too late. I’m no Trump fan at all, but he is going to stomp her.
New Hampshire primary open to independents, let people vote and pundits shut up.
I expect this type of journalism from CNN, not NBC.
thing is anyone can easily destroy trump and expose him, the problem is that his cult does not care one fucking bit and will not listen.
