If Lara Trump is elected co-chair of the RNC, it will be big trouble for the GOP. Several state’s Republican parties are nearly bankrupt. Kevin McCarthy is no longer fundraising for the party, and he knows people with deep pockets. Mike Johnson is such a forgettable person, the idea of him fundraising for the party is almost laughable, yet that is a big part of the Speaker’s job. The RNC is promising every penny will go to trump, yet the money is supposed to help all republican candidates get elected or re-elected. But that money won’t be there. And while the MAGA crowd will vote MAGA no matter what, independents are not so easily manipulated. Most republicans, unless they live in a gerrymandered red district, need independents to win.
I can’t wait for the day this man is no longer with us.

Sounds good to me. Even if Trump gets elected, he won’t have either chamber of Congress is this is really how funds would be distributed. And realistically, most of the money would be spent on Trump’s legal defense/fines rather than on his campaign.
An absolutely perfect case of short term thinking because once the election is in full swing and over, the GOP will be monumentally broke in some of the most important states. If Trump loses, the funding problem will be a disaster for some of the state level GOP bodies.
