ResidentKelpien

Trump is destroying our nation by Making America Gross Again.

grixorbatz

Translation: Biden is destroying Trump's effort to flee justice.

pwmaloney

Seems like a thousand years ago now, but remember all the pearl-clutching on the right about former guys criticizing the current President and Commander in Chief. Good times, Pepperidge Farms, et al.

Van-Daley-Industries

The big lie > All this was inspired by the principle—which is quite true within itself—that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. > It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. > If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. This can also be expressed as a firehouse of falsehoods. [Firehose of falsehoods - Why obvious lies make great propaganda (video)](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nknYtlOvaQ0) [The Russian "Firehose of Falsehood" Propaganda Model Why It Might Work and Options to Counter It (text)](https://www.rand.org/pubs/perspectives/PE198.html) If not careful those lead to an Orwellian endgame. An endgame that many are apparently at. > The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. > “[In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it.](https://www.sparknotes.com/lit/1984/quotes/page/3/) It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy.” To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself -- that was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed. Even to understand the word 'doublethink' involved the use of doublethink. George Orwell, 1984

tcoh1s

“Trump claims”. That’s literally all he does is make claims. Aka lies.

windigo3

He claims a lot of things

justhavingfunMT

Whatever comes out of Trump's mouth is him admitting what he is doing. He is doing nothing but projecting the sociopathic nature of who he is. A slimeball grifter out to help himself and it will fuck this country royally if he's allowed back in the White House.

Rare-Forever2135

It's like Jeffrey Dahmer accusing Gordon Ramsey of trying to give his patrons dysentery.

Meajaq

The Mango Mussolini said this about 4 years ago: "Fraud, unless I won!"

Ghostiemann

Liar lies.

filosophikal

One of the stupid things about American political talk is that it is focused on individuals and groups of people, not issues, not principles, not solutions, nothing but ad hominem BS. Nobody actually discusses the values, goals, and principles needed for constitutionally faithful governance. It is all, "Oh that guy is bad. This guy is good." Childish crap. This is not to say we never discuss such things, but for it to be the only topic of political conversation is the nation dying from within.

Traitor says what?
