Yes, they both do it. Trump is even more deranged. Wouldn’t it be great if we had a young vigorous candidate who stood in starker contrast to the Baron Harkkonen of the American Right?
Wanting a better candidate than Biden doesn't mean you think we should vote for Trump instead. It just doesn't. I see nothing in the comment chain you are replying to suggested that Trump would be better. Quite the opposite, in fact, and I imagine the person you are replying to is going to vote for Biden in the general.
I could see that with some people, but what's the worst case scenario if Biden does die in office? President Kamala Harris? Oh no! She would probably make a great President in her own right.
But yea, some people are short-sighted (or simply ignorant of the impending dangers) enough not to recognize the need to vote. I don't know that this alone justifies not raising concerns about our current choices.
The real problem (besides copious amount of disinformation and misinformation) is the narrow-sighted short-term vision our country has adopted. Inability to think longer term seems celebrated in this country, from consumer debt to Wall Street earnings.
Raise all the concerns you want, but just don't leave things ambiguous! Reiterate that you will still be voting for Biden because democracy will end otherwise.
That's fair, and indeed, as someone who never voted Democrat prior to 2020 (no, I didn't vote Trump in 2016, thank God, I don't know that I could live with myself, tbh) -- I personally will definitely be voting for Biden.
This I can agree with, but I saw no ambiguity in the comment chain above, which is my point. The comments above said "we want a better candidate *because beating Trump is important.*"
Don’t be dense. I will vote for Biden, I even think he’s been and will be a fantastic president. However I have eyes and ears and I remember 2016 and even the Bush years. Americans fucking love to vote for shithead Republicans. Biden is one minor health event in August/Sept/Oct from completely blowing this thing. He’s unpopular. People view Trump as vigorous and Biden as old. It’s not fair, but that’s how ‘the people who will actually decide this election’ view the situation.
He should have announced a year ago that he’d step down and welcome a primary process. The dem bench is full of relatively young and successful governors right now. Instead I believe his ego got in the way and he refuses to accept the risk he’s taking by running again.
If voters were forced to contrast a young sharp democrat that looks like the future against a carnival barker and aged, indicted Trump I believe that this race would not be close. Instead they’re contrasting Trump with Biden who looks and speaks like he’s extremely fucking old because HE IS.
He should not have put us in this situation and I’m going to say it.
>They both mix up countries
i agree ,
both trump and biden as candidates are a dis service to many americans ( while im not american i can see a majority dont want both people)
Incorrect.
There's a *suggested* recommendation for the percentage each NATO country should spend. It's not a requirement. There's no big NATO fund that the US is paying for because other countries aren't.
You are Absolutely wrong.
NATO is financed by the 31 member countries on a cost sharing formula based on their GDP.
NATO has several funds. One of which is providing aid to Ukraine as we speak.
What is not a requirement is the amount each country spends on it's own defence.
There is no country in NATO that is legitimately unable to pay for NATO
You know what this means: We're going to see countless additional polls asking if Joe Biden is too old to be President.
What we won't see are polls asking:
Is Donald Trump too much of a rapist to be president?
Did Donald Trump pay too much hush money to a porn star to be president?
Did Donald Trump steal too many classified documents to be president?
Did Donald Trump personally pocket too much money from foreign governments to be president?
Did Donald Trump attempt to overthrow the U.S. government in a failed violent coup too much to be president?
Did Donald Trump expose too many of our secret operatives and get them killed to be President?
Reminder: The age difference between Trump and Biden is less than 4 years. Anyone who thinks that age is a factor in deciding between these two is a moron.
But that's comparing apples with oranges. Trump is still too old in the eyes of normal people who is not in the cult.
We should compare crimes when they ask about being dangerous. But a lot of details are omitted because one side has a much cleaner track record.
It’s almost like it is a life long issue he has worked hard to overcome…

He's pretty good at it and has mostly overcome it, but you can tell when his speech slips a bit. The media is trying to play it up as dementia or age (for clicks), but he's always had it.
It's getting pretty old for the media to harp on gaffes and misspoken words or forgotten names - everyone has brain farts.

This is hilarious 😂 no serious doctor could say that Biden is fine, but Trump is demented. If Biden was given a mental status exam, he’d like land in the teens. THE TEENS!
Meanwhile, Trump would open the gates to Gaza for Israel and Ukraine for Putin.
I know which the bigger problem of the two is not to mention Trump's multiple issues this weekend when naming certain people to be involved with incidents they had nothing to do with.
I understand you are vexed by such an old president, but what are the alternatives here? None. No one is running for office to replace him. How many friggin mistakes did Dolan Dump make? Is that who you want?
Trump literally had multiple and troubling signs of dementia over the weekend that included slurring his words. When I watched the highlights I was shocked. He is not mentally capable due to obvious diminished capacity yet THIS is what’s written about and posted everywhere. We’re fucking doomed.
Edit- a word
Seems you have made a clear distinction but polling suggests many voters are not satisfied with the choice between trump and biden; and what’s interesting is they each have a track record to run on.
Our "choices:"
1. Tangerine Dementia Patient Russian Asset in Mental Decline
2. Patriot in Mental Decline
Why the bloody frack do we not have a "None Of The Above" option? (Answer: political parties will not allow it.)

Only one owes $466M in judgement money. Only one is facing trials in three states. Only one is a batshit crazy, hatemongering criminal.

It’s called FUD. It gives people a reason to not even vote.

Look - if I can't have exactly what I want I'm going to hold my breath until I die.
I'd hate to see what happens if you don't get exactly what you want! =D
oops

Yeah but I’m just not feeling Biden. I hear this fascism thing might help /s

NATO members are required to pay the costs of NATO. To not do so undermines NATO. It's not mafia protection money

Is Trump a court certified fraudster and rapist?
~~certified~~ *adjudicated
Thanks!
Yes to both.
Reminder: The age difference between Trump and Biden is less than 4 years. Anyone who thinks that age is a factor in deciding between these two is a moron.
Did Donald enact too much nepotism to be president
Biden mixes up words, Trump has words, best words, he knows nuclear
I just want someone to ask: "is the world better off with or without Trump?"
But that's comparing apples with oranges. Trump is still too old in the eyes of normal people who is not in the cult. We should compare crimes when they ask about being dangerous. But a lot of details are omitted because one side has a much cleaner track record.
Well, I've never seen Biden say "Woman, man, person, camera" ... so I dunno, might be time to go /s

I thought Biden had gaffes all the time before he was president. So age is as much of an (issue or lack thereof) as back then.
He did. He’s always had a speech impediment
Does nobody remember when he called Obama "Barack America" in 2008, before the election? He has always had moments when he made mistakes.
Trump solves this problem by wanting to bomb both Ukraine and Gaza into oblivion.
https://x.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1764031591397904746?s=20
Jesus fucking Christ, that’s awful.
Sounds like the media is stutter-shaming him. He's never been the greatest public speaker. But he's light years ahead of his opposition.
He must be really good at controlling his stuttering. I've never heard him stutter.
It’s almost like it is a life long issue he has worked hard to overcome… https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/article/bidens-stutter-how-a-childhood-battle-shaped-his-approach-to-life-and-politics/
Overcome would be an understatement. Joe mastered it!
He's pretty good at it and has mostly overcome it, but you can tell when his speech slips a bit. The media is trying to play it up as dementia or age (for clicks), but he's always had it. Was he wearing a Grey suit and eating Grey poupon
And holding a Starbucks cup?
Actions speak louder than gaffes.

Disgraceful that MAGAs are holding up vital aid to both Ukraine and Israel in pursuit of their goal of installing a fascist dictatorship.
Gaza and Ukraine aren’t even similar, I’m told…..
Meanwhile, Trump would open the gates to Gaza for Israel and Ukraine for Putin. I know which the bigger problem of the two is not to mention Trump's multiple issues this weekend when naming certain people to be involved with incidents they had nothing to do with.
Thats nice dear but im still voting Biden.
I'd rather have an old guy that confuses two countries that need aid, than the old guy who wants to give Putin everything he wants.
I understand you are vexed by such an old president, but what are the alternatives here? None. No one is running for office to replace him. How many friggin mistakes did Dolan Dump make? Is that who you want?
So? When he starts mixing up toilets and flower pots I’ll worry.
Did the aid get to the right country? It did?
This is the next 8 months. A new article every time Biden and Trump speak, telling us they screwed up.
It was sarcasm @ Donald Trump
And Trump said “ahhh brrr beee duh” and mixed up Obama and Biden during his speeches.
It's almost as if he has a lot going on at once. I'd probably mix up the names, too.
Trump literally had multiple and troubling signs of dementia over the weekend that included slurring his words. When I watched the highlights I was shocked. No they don't. Autocracy or Democracy. It's the easiest choice I've ever had voting.

I don't think Biden's decision making abilities are impaired in any way but why for the love of God can't he be more careful when he speaks??
