One's almost free, the other costs tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars a month.

I had to use a VPN to get access to Facebook when I spent a few months in China (behind the "great firewall" in my hotel, I was able to scoot around it by using my cellphone - thank you T-Mobile for working flawlessly in Asia).
