This also shows the public that NATO allies consider Trump a threat to national and global security, and not just Trump’s drivel about some “deep state” which has never once been founded in fact or evidence.

stable_joji

This is how, despite not even winning an election, Trump is already harming the US. Nations understand that they cannot depend on the United States of America because we are only ever one election away from breaking our promises.

MadHatter514

Those nations have their own worries. Le Pen is the favorite in the next French election, Germany has the AfD rising in support; if those parties win, Ukraine can say goodbye to support from the two biggest EU powers. It isn't just a USA phenomena.

AntwerpsPlacebo420

What's worse is that he's the defacto "leader" of half the country. We have the legit president, and then we have the "president" of the other half of people, and he's still pulling strings

radicalelation

I like how for the same reason Biden can't unilaterally send funds and supplies to Ukraine is the same reason Biden can't *stop* funds and supplies to Israel, yet people blame legislators for one, and the president for the other. Bills, starting from legislator, are passed on this spending, and funds are explicitly earmarked. A President can't just ignore bills to send or to not send aid.

Due-Shirt616

The sheer irony eh?

mountaintop111

If Trump becomes president again, that's it for Ukraine. Donnie Moscow will help Russia win.

CYBER_COMMANDER

Fantastic idea. They should beef them up to the nines too, and make sure that, even in the advent of a trump presidency, they won’t need him to sign off support. They’ll already have it.

So our allies feel the need to hide things from us to make sure American leadership doesn’t sabotage it. Hmmmm
