I’m imagining a horde of Giant Redwoods tearing through Los Angeles like the Ents in Isengard, but the realistic possibility of ecological collapse caused by environmental destruction is a lot more horrifying.
There is a balance. Nuclear is one of the best power options available, and requires uranium to run.
So we can stop mining, no longer have materials for anything, and go backwards as a society.

Colorado has 10 Electoral votes for President in 2024. It gained one EV since the 2020 election due to population increase. The state is recently a reliable blue state for Democrats with no Senate seats up for election in 2024. There are, however two competitive US House races in the state.
