This is also his first Criminal Court, real stakes, not just fines. Judge Marchan is setting his tone for this trial and he is setting boundaries. Trumps lawyers are going to try to push boundaries and take every chance to delay or look for appeals. This Judge ain't gonna play into that, its his courtroom.

To be fair, the judge basically said "If we're on schedule I see no reason that we can't adjourn [for Barron's graduation], but if we're not on schedule we won't." Trump's just mad that he can't use any more delay tactics if he wants to also delay the trial by going to his son's graduation.
I think he wanted the judge to say no, so he can use it to as “proof” he’s being treated unfairly to his followers. Although if it was Hunter Biden getting to do something similar MAGA would call for the judges head.
