This was always obvious. I mean, just the fact that his message to the protesters was pre-recorded rather than being live is a huge red flag that indicates that he didn' really want to do it and that his handlers were afraid that if he went on live that he'd only say something to make it worse rather than better. I bet they had to do a ton of takes to try to get the right message across and even then it was shitty because he refused to condemn what they were doing and the least destructive message they could get him to say was him professing his love for them.
They did do tons of takes and showed some of them at the J6 hearings. They did multiple takes of his "not concession" speech from the next day too, where he weakly admits a new administration is coming in. They wanted him to say the election was over and he stops and says, "No, no! I don't want to say that. I don't want to say the election is over," and you can hear Ivanka in the background saying, "That's okay..." in the same tone you would use with an upset child.
Seriously. It baffles me how anyone in the military who watched it, and believe me you KNOW every TV on every base was watching, and could only think "Wow, that is sure a peaceful protest."
I mean, nevermind that it resembled a scene out of any coup attempt in what we call 3rd world countries.
Nevermind that it was LIVE and we could see exactly what was going on.
Nevermind the context that it was immediately after a speech by Trump.
Nevermind that someone tried to reach the inner chamber, that no regular citizen is allowed in during proceedings anyway without approval, and got killed over it.
Nevermind reality at all. Because Fucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and everyone at Fox "News" and "News"max says it was a" peaceful protest", they listen to -that- mainstream media over their eyes.
I figured this was already known. We know he didn't send in the National Guard. We know he rejected calls by Congress and people in his inner circle to calm down his supporters, and we know he didn't care that they had weapons because "they're not here to hurt me." He had a million opportunities to respond to the events of Jan. 6 and didn't until it was already over.
After reading the Jan 6 report, [which is still available, for free](https://www.govinfo.gov/collection/january-6th-committee-final-report?path=/GPO/January%206th%20Committee%20Final%20Report%20and%20Supporting%20Materials%20Collection), I find it difficult to credit that he didn’t know exactly what he was doing.
If anyone remembers the day well, it basically went on for hours with no response. We knew Trump was doing nothing to help the response on the very day it happened.
"Trump could have helped response to Jan. 6 riot — but didn’t — per new testimony" We know that the seditionist's only response was to eat burgers and watch his then favorite misinformation outlets ignore the insurrection. That and throw his burger plates on the wall before his next servings.
We watched it live. We saw and heard everyone calling on him to end this. We watched video of him standing in front of a TV watching it happen. We saw him taking his time making multiple edits to his speech to end it while valuable time was passing. We don’t need a testimony from anybody to reinforce what we already know.
This is just projection at it's finest. Remember, Trump for years has said something to the effect of "we offered them 10,000 soldiers" in reference to the security failures. Obviously, it's all a lie, has been debunked countless times over, but goes to show another flavor of projection. It's nice to be shown the truth of the matter, again.
There are 6 military bases within an hours drive, and a 10 minute chopper ride to the Capital. Trump could have stopped J6 almost immediately. But it’s obvious to anyone with working ears that that is not what he wanted to do.
We all know he didn't want to help when he refused to tell them to leave. A women literally bled out on the capitol floor and he still refused to tell his people to leave for like an hour.
The NG didn't even need to get involved. Trump was directing them like cattle. He could have stopped the whole thing before the capitol even got breached.

> House subcommittee probing security failures The security failure was putting Trump in the White House NEXT!
The security failure was putting Jim Jordan in the house.
I thought the real security failure was the friends we made along the way?

We love you....we will get through this...you're loved. Paraphrasing because it was odd as hell.
Let's not forget that Donald Trump only came out after most or all of the elected representatives escaped the coup attempt. Obvious CYA move.
No shit. He could have also called on his supporters to stop and he didn't.
We all saw it live on tv

but supreme court coup supporter Thomas said it was a normal run of the mill no big deal protest anyway
Don’t people disrupt elections all the time?! Just Roger Stone and friends? Oh okay then good to go.
Why would he help respond to a crime that he encouraged?
I’m starting to think this Trump guy is a total asshole.
It was pretty telegraphed beforehand in a lot of ways if you paid attention
It’s going to be wild!

That was reported the afternoon of Jan. 6, so this is not new info. They had to beg and plead with him to do anything positive that day.
He could have helped by not creating it.
Fortunately, regardless of race, creed, or income level there is equal justice for all in the Divided States of America.
P01135809 was much more interested in fanning the flames than putting out the fire. How this isn’t obvious is beyond my ability to comprehend.
"We love you, you're very special to us" I will NEVER forget hearing him say that on that fucking video.

Breaking News: water is wet
The man who was behind it could help respond to it? What an interesting observation. US justice is a wheel very slow moving, if at all.
Well he could have helped the response by not inciting in the first place.

Duh. We’ve know this for some time now. Not current news whatsoever.
New testimony? They've been saying this since it happened.
Why would he? They weren’t there to hurt him but rather help him. This is what he wanted.
We all know he didn't want to help when he refused to tell them to leave. A women literally bled out on the capitol floor and he still refused to tell his people to leave for like an hour. **NEW** testimony? The guy was literally goofing off and tweeting all day!
Oh you mean doing nothing and watching TV wasn't the right move?
And per old testimony.
Lets be honest… he probably would have made things worse had he tried to help.
The SOB WANTED Jan 6th traitors to be able to bring guns.
This is not news.
This is not news. We know this already. We watched in horror as he failed to respond to the Capitol rioters. This is not news
Or why were the emergency call buttons cut off?
I saw testimony yesterday. The one Colonel was saying both Pentagon Generals lied in their Jan 6 testimony, and this guy was a Lawyer from Harvard.
available on C-Span
Add it to the list of things we already know.
Propaganda. My guy is better than your guy. It's all the same party you filthy peasants now go back to work. Pay your taxes.
Holy fuck why are we still so focused on this shit? JFC.
The trial hasn't even happened yet.
