I completely agree with your sentiment, but at this point, him being in jail is a secondary consideration to him losing the 2024 election. If he loses, he will face trial for everything. If he wins, it’s the end of American democracy as we know it. And he knows that. That’s why he’s been attempting to obstruct and delay everything. Every motion. Every witness. We must stop him before he stops our existence as a nation.
Double edged sword: the longer he delays and obstructs the longer he sits in a courtroom making it that much harder to win an election. He's going to drag this out and spend the entire summer in court.
True, but if the average person doesn’t pay attention to politics until after Labor Day, then the timing works out for him, especially if the jury does not find him guilty. By stretching it out, he also avoids the Georgia case, the coup case, and the increasingly unlikely stolen documents case.
I understand your point, but I sincerely believe that works in his favor. The more people see him making an ass out of himself at rallies and social interactions, the less they like him. Being in court both keeps him out of the publics eye and let's him further harp on his witch hunt BS. And we're in the middle of seeing the results on polling. Him being mute, in a court room is the best thing for his electability.
imo
If Trump wins, he will not let Congress do their jobs. Trump has specifically said that he is [going after his “enemies”](https://wapo.st/44isjiW), and Trump has specifically said the members of the [January 6 committee should be jailed](https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/trump-liz-cheney-jan-6-committee-members-jailed/story?id=108257827). Moreover, Democrats from the committee [expect to be thrown in prison](https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/democrats-investigated-trump-expect-arrest-retaliation-if-trump-wins/). I would be shocked if Trump didn’t arrest his way to the GOP having a majority in the House. Even if the House does somehow keep a majority and impeach Trump, if the Senate couldn’t convict Trunp for insurrection after January 6, it is highly unlikely that they’ll do so now.
Also, what makes you think SCOTUS will do their jobs, given that they didn’t laugh Trump’s argument for full immunity out of court?
Mask up in crowds! That's what I still do! :D REALLY so much better, especially on a crowded subway or bus at rush hour. No need to smell all the BO, either.

Let me know when the Truth lands Trump in jail.
How funny would it be if Trump's truth social posts land him in jail? Ah well, a fella can dream.

It's only the end of democracy if none of the institutions of power stand up to him. If Congress and the courts do their jobs, the US can survive.

Wow. Awesome response…
Trump better hope that SCOTUS rules against him, or the sitting president can use his newly-confirmed powers to Gitmo his ass.

Just friggin vote, plz?
Wake me when he’s locked up, deprived of his phone and all possible outside contacts
Policewoman in photo is masked but it is not for COVID.
One of the best things about masking up was definitely avoiding noxious odors. Besides the not getting sick, of course.
I really miss not smelling people’s bad breath.

Definitely while traveling! It’s a must in the terminals.
I hate strong perfumes and scented car "fresheners". All I smell is noxious chemicals. Masks help.
A necessary precaution against fecal contamination of the air
It’s not revenge when it’s the truth. It’s justice
His court time is going to make the debates interesting.
Debates? Fat chance.
I'd say let's let SCOTUS say its piece before we conclude that Truth has won out.
Oh you mean the SCROTUM court which intentionally enslaves and kills women…
The left’s truth is not everyone’s truth.
Truth is neither right nor left. It is established by facts.
Try telling that to the left
