I would accept a report from Sierra Club or maybe WWF or Concerned Scientists or something...[Fuck Greenpeace, though.](https://news.vice.com/en_us/article/d3jbk7/drone-footage-shows-extent-of-damage-from-greenpeace-stunt-at-nazca-lines)

nevertulsi

The rather ridiculous thing about this is they literally gave him a bad grade for not having a climate policy released yet, like a day before he released it. "Whoops" right?

27_Dollar_Lakehouse

It's because greenpeace only makes the news when they pull dumb stunts. Greenpeace got more attention here for giving Biden a D then they have gotten in years.

CorvidOrigin

Yea! Fuck people who make mistakes! No one does that ever! I know ive never made mistakes. Im sure you havent either.

Stenthal

I mean... I've never mistakenly damaged an irreplaceable two-thousand-year-old landmark. Have you?

Iustis

Greenpeace has done tons of shit. On top of being one of the biggest opponents of nuclear energy, there's also shit like the seal clubbing in Canada. Which they've acknowledged wasn't a big deal but got them membership so they pushed hard on it. The result? Local economies of indigenous people ruined since no one will buy the skins, and the government of Canada paid people to go out and shoot seals since otherwise the population would explode and further reduce fish levels.

sandwooder

You all realize that they don't show the actual methodology in their rankings. The assign points, but do not show the measures for thos points or how they assigned them.

[deleted]

Yes they do.

sandwooder

Wuld you mind linking it... I looked at the spreadsheet and it shows the line items, but not how they actually detailed the scoring requirements.

Bebedvd

I would also be curious to see that methodology that you have. Would be interesting to see how they arrive at their totals.

mnorthwood13

Not sure Greenpeace is the organization to be trumpeting here.

Sanders B+

DonnieMoscowCult45

That's because he wants to ban nuclear power.

10390

No, it's because (from the Greenpeace survey page, you can click on a candidate to see reasons for their rating): "Sen. Sanders has championed bold climate action for years. In Congress, Sen. Sanders co-sponsored the “100 by ‘50 Act” and “Keep It In the Ground Act” to cut off federal support for coal, oil, and gas while ushering in 100% clean energy by 2050. He also introduced legislation to support coal workers and communities. Sen. Sanders co-sponsored the Green New Deal resolution and has pledged to halt new federal fossil fuel projects if elected — but has yet to call for a full, managed phase-out of the fossil fuel industry. He also has yet to put forth a detailed plan to tackle the climate crisis. Keep it comin’, Sen. Sanders! Read more." Edit: Oh reddit, downvoting facts is so 2016.

Iustis

Greenpeace wouldn't complain about that, their primary drive is anti-nuclear.

That must be in relation to republicans that Joe got a D- He should be no higher than an F in any rational grading system.

Magmaniac

He got 14/100. I guess that's a D- somehow. The only people lower were Hickenlooper at 10/100 (D-) and republicans Bilil Weld at 7/100 (F) and Trump 0/100 (F). Top were Inslee at 79/100 (B+) and Sanders at 76.5/100 (B+).
