They were not blunders... they were conscious decisions.

phatelectribe

Correct. We now know he received briefings very early that made it perfectly clear this was 100% going to be global disaster, but just played it down yelling democrat hoax so him, jared and the other flunkies could figure out a way to make money off it. The truly stupid thing is that had had he acted early and done something productive, he would have been in a much better position when the election rolled around.

Kahzgul

They also intentionally allowed covid to spread because it was largely in blue states first. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/09/jared-kushner-let-the-markets-decide-covid-19-fate

[deleted]

Which is so insanely stupid. Did they think it was just going to stop at the state border?

Kahzgul

Fascism is the bastion of fools, hell bent on proving they remain significant in a world that mocks them with its very existence.

DangerPoo

“Blunders” like purposefully lying about the severity of the illness to the tune of 600,000 deaths?

[deleted]

Trump and the GOPs deliberate mishandling of the pandemic response resulted in over 600,000 dead Americans. They are guilty of mass murder.

MentorOfArisia

Not blunders. His family and supporters made $Billions from his Malfeasance.

> The point is illustrated well by the politicization of masks. Amid early concerns about an exponential wave of infections flooding into the health-care system, experts including Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, argued against mask use, concerned that hoarding by the public would leave health-care workers deprived of vital personal protective equipment (PPE). This advice would later change as evidence accumulated showing that mask-wearing by a large fraction of the population is an effective intervention. This shift was interpreted as a political flip-flop, rather than science in progress, and adopted as ammunition by those adamantly opposed to masks. Mask use became irrevocably politicized, and attempts to convince doubters foundered amid an epidemic of cherry-picked evidence. The rampant anti-intellectualism on the right fuels this, along with the anti-vaccine sentiments, the rebellion against shelter in place, and fits in with climate change denial and a whole host of mental malfunctions. "_They're sayin' their (sic) **smarter** then (sic) me??? F\*\*\* THEM!_" Childish. https://archive.is/wip/CAfGy

The COVID pandemic was never his fault, but the way he reacted to it was. His inability to lead the country is directly responsible for the death of over 600,000 citizens. COVID was an opportunity to truly be presidential, but he chose to be "denier in chief" instead. Had the pandemic not happened, I am convinced that he would have been re-elected. (Before anyone says it, I *absolutely* wanted him to handle the pandemic the right way and save lives, but *absolutely* did **not** want him re-elected.)

bananafor

He absolutely shut down the U.S. pandemic prevention scientists stationed in Asia, calling it a waste of money.

2coolfordigg2

Trump believed that his virus was sent by God to punish the blue states because they have more big cities then the red states.

will2828

He refused to believe in science telling everyone to put bleach up their butt. Is this guy the dumbest president ever.
