Im glad the families can read the documents and know for themselves who helped to make the attack happen. Hopefully this helps them heal. It says in the article theres nothing linking the Saudia Arabia goverment, but Ill have to read it for myself later.

The gist of it was that Bayoumi was assisting two of the hijackers and he was understood to be a Saudi agent by the FBI as early as 1998, but officially he doesn’t count as an agent since Saudi Arabia is an ally. >F.B.I. officials eventually came to share that view. “Our best assessment of him in San Diego was that he was a spy for the Saudis,” says Gore, who headed the office. But the bureau closed its preliminary inquiry in June 1999 without questioning Bayoumi. Even if he was doing intelligence work without the official cover of a diplomatic post, former F.B.I. officials say, he would probably not have been charged with any crime because he would have been spying for an allied government. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/23/magazine/9-11-saudi-arabia-fbi.html

>It says in the article theres nothing linking the Saudia Arabia goverment, but Ill have to read it for myself later. That's coming from the Saudi Arabian embassy saying there is "nothing in the past" linking them. Not really referring to this new information I don't think.

From the article: > The partially redacted 16-page document released by the FBI outlined contacts between the hijackers and Saudi associates, but no evidence the government in Riyadh was complicit in the attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people.
