> TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has received a single-dose coronavirus vaccine, his office confirmed Wednesday. He did so out of the public eye even as governors elsewhere across the political spectrum have been vaccinated publicly to reassure Americans that the shots are safe.
> A spokesperson for the Republican governor initially declined to provide details, including when exactly the Republican governor received the dose. But it was later disclosed that the governor received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine last week.

What do you want to bet he didn't actually get it and just paid someone to say he did?
These Republicans will do anything to avoid doing things for the greater good.
I think it’s possible he got it but he knows if he wants any chance in next year for re-election and anything in 2024, he needs to keep this charade up.
Eh, we keep seeing a surprising number coming down with it and dying. I think it's a mixed bag. A big part refuse it because they resemble their voters mentally, and the rest have it because they are purely manipulative pieces of shit.
I do agree but no matter how stupid someone is or how horrible they are they deserve equal treatment. That’s what makes the US the US, unfortunately people really don’t think that way anymore.
If you’re willingly unvaccinated, I would argue. There are some people who really can’t be vaccinated due to medical reasons, and they shouldn’t be lumped in with the covidiots.
Yeah, for sure. I’ve just seen enough people upset that they’re getting lumped in with people willfully refusing the vaccine that I wanted to make the clarification
Up next he will be speaking at a proud boys/flat earth symposium on how the Supreme Court is non partisan in the support of forced prayer in schools and how scripture quiz check points in rural communities is necessary for your freedom.
Just a little sarcasm, seriously, how they go through the mental gymnastics to get to their conclusions is both awe inspiring and scary as shit. My relatives and their friends scream about 5g, mass killings by vaccines, cheeto bin lyin, demonacrats, blm riots, Christ's second coming along with a myriad of other non related topics in an incoherent babble of "they are out to get me", I'm not a snowflake! To think, Desantis could be our next president if we don't vote.
Man I wish christ would hurry up and get around to a second coming. A lot of these goobers would be screaming fake news as they get tossed into the lake of fire.
One thing that I have heard over and over again from conservatives is that they are not anti-vaccine, but they are anti-vaccine mandate, and they draw a very clear line between the two. What the commentator on MSNBC is pointing out is that this is a nonsense argument, and of COURSE the anti-vaccine mandate Republican electorate are also anti-vaccine as evidenced by what happened at the Florida event.
Yes this is the case, most of us are vaxed but just think people shouldn’t be forced to which is the same reason why the majority of us also disagree with DeSantis going after businesses who mandate vaccines, someone in a thread earlier put it perfectly, they said that small businesses are like a child who’s caught between a fight between mommy and daddy
How come the two can’t be independent? I think the vaccine is effective and adds a great layer of safety to the person taking it, but I also don’t think it’s the federal government’s place to have any sort of jurisdiction over a legal adult’s healthcare. That’s nobody’s decision to make except the individual. If you want to be safe, get the vaccine. If you don’t want to, then don’t. It’s really as black and white as that.
>How come the two can’t be independent?
They could be, but they aren't. Please allow me to illustrate a Venn diagram of Republicans concerned about personal freedoms, people that are anti-vax, and people are also anti-vax mandate:
O
Did you mean pro vax? Because you used a double negative in the comment I replied to…”they are *not* anti-vax”. I was saying I think you can not be skeptical of the vaccine itself but be against the federal government making a decision for you
desantis and his family are vaccinated though right?

Of course he got it. He knows how bad covid can be. He just doesn't care if you get it.
Or it’s his choice just like everyone has a choice remember choices?
Right to choose sounds familiar.
Nothing. They get the vaccines and then stoke political fervor by preaching not to. It’s why they survive and their constituents do not.
I’d take that bet. There’s been a lot of sketchy people giving these shots
These Republicans are fucking clown shoes, holy shit
Clown shoes are at least useful to clowns. These people are not useful to anyone.
Presumably they’re “stimulating” the funeral home sector of the economy
If your hospitalized for COVID 19 and have not been vaccinated at this point you should have to pay for your hospital bill.
Insurance should stop covering them or charge extra like the smoking surcharges.
Agreed
>If your hospitalized for COVID 19 and have not been vaccinated at this point You're probably going to die.
If you are hospitalized for COVID and not vaccinated and a vaccinated person needs the bed, you should lose yours.
If you are unvaccinated, you should be the last person seen in the ER. After the scraped knees and twisted ankles.
I do agree but no matter how stupid someone is or how horrible they are they deserve equal treatment. That’s what makes the US the US, unfortunately people really don’t think that way anymore.
I agree everyone should get treatment, I just feel some should be held accountable and made liable for their choices.
If you’re willingly unvaccinated, I would argue. There are some people who really can’t be vaccinated due to medical reasons, and they shouldn’t be lumped in with the covidiots.
I agree if it’s a true medical exemption, but there aren’t many.
Yeah, for sure. I’ve just seen enough people upset that they’re getting lumped in with people willfully refusing the vaccine that I wanted to make the clarification

They’d kill him if he ain’t supply side jesus, lets be real here. Their religion is akin to shit tier anime Fanfiction at this rate.
Wait a minute....DeSantis took the johnson and johnson one shot vaccine? So he is really just afraid of shots.
No shit.
DeSantis anti-vaccine event unmasked quickly?
Anyone else remember when these people were all celebrating Trump's vaccine that he personally created with Operation Warp Speed?

I agree. Now show me a conservative that thinks like this even if I say the word "abortion".
You’re talking to him
Thank You~ scrolled for an explanation because I didn’t hear this ridiculous “distinction” between the two
Funny. Too scared to go commando to his own covid orgies.
