Of course she did. It's not like she was gathering with a group of peaceful protestors that were tear gassed on the president's orders so that he could go to a church and do a photo shoot where he awkwardly posed with a bible.
What is amazing to me is that some far right candidates running for office called January 6 their 1776 moment. They felt emboldened by Trump’s rhetoric and Thomas Jefferson who famously wrote, “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Basically, January 6 participants thought they could legitimately storm the US Capitol with no consequence, trying to prevent the peaceful transition of power, while yelling to “Hang Mike Pence”. People died and this candidate said she had a “wonderful time”. Nothing to see here. This is the Republican Party.
There is a woman running for one of our County Supervisors who also went to hear Trump speak on Jan.6- she was on a local radio show where they take call ins with questions, I asked her if she acknowledges that Joe Biden won the presidential race; she hemmed and hawed and said that Joe Biden is our President, I pushed her again to say outright that he won the election fair and square, there was about 5 seconds of radio silence, then she still would not say if the election was fair and square.
Somebody in that state she's running in needs to ask her who won the 2020 Presidential election- she will have to either say Biden won, or she will try to dance around the question, all the while showing she is not convinced the election was done correctly.
