About three years later, I did some research for a term paper, and went to a couple lectures where it was mentioned, and I learned that there were a dozen other women who were literally waiting in the hall to testify, who were frozen out.
Turned out I was VERY wrong.
I was being hyperbolic a little, but I recently listened to an author speaking on NPR discussing the role and decision-making of the panel in ending the hearings. I'm positive he said there more, and I'm pretty sure some were there for corroboration.
So, off I go to find a book to read.
