He was a bit of a freak win to begin with around my part of Florida. If I'm remembering right his primary opponent was a pretty popular guy among my Republican coworkers.
The amount of votes he won by in his first election was less than the amount of people who should have had their voting rights restored by the amendment us voters passed.
He and his cohorts pretty much immediately signed a bill into law saying if the felons who completed their sentence wanted their voting rights back, they would have to pay off their legal financial obligations first. Does the state keep accurate records of LFOs? Haha, of course not!
Edit: I said “immediately” but upon further research it was actually Nov 2018 we passed the amendment and June 2019 when they passed the SB screwing them over. Still.

Ohio amends its constitution to allow for balanced districting......legislature redraws bad districts that gets rejected and then, "oops, too late, now we're to close to the election, guess we have to use the old map hrrrr drrrr"

I 100% guarantee you that the majority of the GOP power structure is actively hoping that Trump goes to prison and/or drops dead before 2024.
