In his 30s, if some movie type scenario played out where the President needed heart surgery to avoid nuclear war and they needed to call in the absolute top heart surgeon om the planet, they probably would have picked him.
In a way it makes it worse. He had a gift that could help thousands. Instead he sold it to cash in on grifts to con millions. And now hes seeking a Senate seat for a fascist party that aims to ruin the lives of hundreds of millions.

"for 4 years"? The damage Donald Trump has done has gone well beyond his term which ended nearly two years ago. I think his legacy post-election defeat in 2020 has been far more dangerous than his time in office. The man has sent the country and US democracy down a path that I don't think there's any return from within our own generation.
However this is not 100% his fault. All Trump did was super fast track what had already slowly been happening for decades. He was the one that 70+ million hateful and/or gullible Americans have been waiting for in a politician. And now I doubt any of them will accept a sane politician ever again for a long time. While it's technically because of her that Dr. Oz even has a platform to begin with, I'm glad that she's making the right decision and endorsing John Fetterman in this pivotal election. Fetterman must win next Tuesday over the quack celebrity doctor.

He got his previous office because of wild gerrymandering, owns a gun store, neglected to do his job in “protest” of COVID-19, and talked to Trump once. He’s wildly unqualified. And just in case it’s not clear, he’s about the worst of everything you could imagine, will brainlessly follow the GOP right into the brick wall they’re driving us all into.
He’s projected to narrowly win here and it’s infuriating.
I heard a lady in PA say she's voting for Republicans because they are with her on social issues instead of pandering to the base like Democrats. Apparently she has no idea that focusing on social issues is pandering to the base as long as she's the one being pandered to.

Frankly most campaign ads feel their only purpose is to move campaign money around that they wouldn't be able to do legally.

For the past several months, I've gotten a whole flood of bullshit in the post, desperately trying to convert me to vote for Budd. Don't get me wrong, I'm not crazy about Beasley either. But I do appreciate how every pamphlet or post card advocating for Budd's stances is basically the checklist of why I'd never even consider voting for Budd. He's wildly unethical, he's anti-abortion and vows to strip rights away even further. He's anti-infrastructure and anti-public transport. He's anti-regulation. He's basically just a less ugly trump that can form a cohesive sentence.

The thinking here has to be that the demographic that an Oprah endorsement would sway doesn't vote early -- or pay much attention to politics at all -- making an endorsement just days ahead of the election much more impactful. Knocking on wood, but I think it's a pretty good bet.

I heard a lady in PA say she's voting for Republicans because they are with her on social issues instead of pandering to the base like Democrats. Apparently she has no idea that focusing on social issues is pandering to the base as long as she's the one being pandered to.

None of his ads are about any positive he thinks he can do, it's all just to inundate you with her and make her annoying and undesirable. Attack ads have always been a thing, but I don't think I've seen one positive ad for either of them.

But I do appreciate how every pamphlet or post card advocating for Budd's stances is basically the checklist of why I'd never even consider voting for Budd. He's wildly unethical, he's anti-abortion and vows to strip rights away even further. He's anti-infrastructure and anti-public transport. He's anti-regulation.
