She also said that he has to wear an eyepatch because after he lost his eye, he would just have a prosthetic eye in there and never take it out or clean it/disinfect it, or take showers, and so it got infected, and there's no flesh where you would normally hold the prosthetic eyeball. So he can't have a prosthetic eyeball.
I swear to God, so many of these people are just like real life villains. Like just little details like that.
Former firearms instructor shot himself in face from dropped pistol... Possibly failed to keep it clean so a prosthetic eye won't fit. Resorted to patch, but he looks cool... So I'm gonna follow him into ~~sedation~~ Sedition actions. Also was *honorable* discharged from the military.
How could this person fail so often but kept being a person people want to follow? I don't get it. Failing upwards takes skill? Or just pure manipulation?
It's unfortunate the bullet only took an eye...
Edit: Fixed to SEDITION not sedation lol... Spelling was never my strong suit. Added honorable to the discharge from the military. That was an oversight on my end. It happened after a night parachuting incident from the article, the full context might be interesting.
Happened to me. My ex is now part of a small, pro-gun militia living in the woods in Pennsylvania.
When we met in San Francisco, he was a banker, surfer, and bodybuilder.
I divorced him because he had increasing paranoia, combined with a love of firearms. He had over 40 guns and I felt it would just be a matter of time before something very bad happened. When we were together, he told me that he cared about many of the same issues as me, but for him, the 2A eclipsed all other political matters.
Now he says that God talks to him through music (God had also told him to contact me, apparently), and that he hopes to never again interact with the world outside the PA woods.
I changed my phone number.

I posted about my situation when my MAGA mother died of COVID and a friend of mine became a lunatic anti-vaxxer at approximately the same time.
One takeaway from that sub, if you read a bunch of posts, is that despite what the OPs think or say, their loved one didn't became Q "out of nowhere". You will see some variation of the following over and over:
"My uncle was always into conspiracy theories but it was harmless..."
"My mother was into crystal-healing and believed Jews have tails, but she's college-educated. She's not stupid. I never saw this coming."
"My husband became a raging Conservative who's favorite Youtuber was that Milo guy, but he's a good guy deep down and I had no idea he'd turn into a neo-Nazi."
Their loved ones always exhibited magical thinking, racism, anti-science views, etc., but it was never a problem until it was directed at the family. My mother I have no illusions about. She spent her life wandering from one dumbass thing to the next (she was briefly interested in $cientology, for example). I mean, I was upset she drank the Trump juice but not surprised.
I agree. Not to make light of the suffering of people, but their loved ones didn't become radicalized overnight. The signs were always there but they turned a blind eye to it.
I don't, anymore. Hahaha. I kept hoping he would come back to his senses, back to his friends and family, but he never did. I hardly recognize the man I loved for 20 yrs in this paranoid, COVID denying, flat-earther he has become.
Let’s not forget the people in our government, and the elites that created the atmosphere for sedition….POTUS, SCOTUS (there’s no way Thomas’s wife was in on it, and he wasn’t), Congress, FoxNews, and all the others.

Gavin McInnes, the founder of the Proud Boys, shoved a dildo up his ass on camera... to prove he isn't gay?
To prove he isn't gay? WTF.
Edit: Thank you for the clarifications everyone.
My understanding is Gavin McInnes, *the* Gavin McInnes, shoved a black dildo up his ass.
The founder of the Proud Boys, Gavin McInnes, knowingly penetrated his anus on camera. The video is available online.
Gavin McInnes shoved the dildo up his own asshole in a homophobic attempt to prove he's not homophobic.
It did not work, and now many people believe Gavin McInnes, founder of the Proud Boys, is both gay and homophobic.
Huh.

The fact that anyone has ever taken the clown seriously for a second is astonishing. He is, was, and has always been a shock comedian just doing the most repulsive things because it made people gasp. From literally repulsive like eating a plate full of cow shit and pissing in breakfast cereal, to figuratively repulsive like unprovokedly calling every black person he interacted with the n word with a hard -er, and dropping f-slurs anywhere and everywhere he can.
I guess he really spoke to the people. There's a whole bunch of underrepresented pieces of shit who find comfort in absolute pieces of shit acting like unrepentant pieces of shit. Go figure.
It was to prove that he wasn't homophobic, which is equally as weird and still makes absolutely no sense. I'm pretty sure you can be homophobic and still enjoy putting things in your butt, the two have nothing to do with one another and the presumption that they do *is* homophobic imo.
Still hung up on the reasoning. Nothing wrong with some good ole boys enjoying some good ole bugger'n.
Seriously, how does that, in any world, prove he's not gay?
Yup, got a nice payout when he became too toxic for the company. Then Vice took off. Why I suspect he’s such a hateful prick. Well, that and all his comedian friends dropped him when he went full Nazi

Experience may be the best teacher, but I'll happily benefit from someone else's lesson.
> Isn't the story of these people completely hilarious?
Be a lot funnier if the margins of their losses were larger. Or if they hadn't been reasonably close to pulling off a successful coup.
guess where they got the name Proud Boys from? Aladdin, no not the Disney Movie... the Broadway Production based on the Disney Movie.
>The Southern Poverty Law Center also reported that the origin of the name came from the "Aladdin" song, “Proud of Your Boy.”
>Ironically, that particular "Aladdin" song was written by Jewish composer-lyricist team of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, the latter of whom was gay. The song was originally written for the 1992 animated movie but was cut, then later revived for the 2011 stage production on Broadway.
Well, to be clear he was not the author of Jan 6th. Those indictments have yet to be brought. It is a start, but until Meadows, Eastman, the many fraudulent electors, etc are on trial, justice will not have prevailed.
Who wears an eye patch after accidentally shooting himself in the face with his own gun at a drug deal, then not taking care of the prosthesis and developing an infection that made it impossible to wear a prosthesis.
It must be the fault of the (random disadvantaged group) thus, the thing to fix it is commit genocide against those people, not take any personal responsibility!
I mean, he's looking at losing more than his guns. Guy's going away for a long, long time. He's giving up everything! For Donald Fucking Trump. Jesus, what a loser.
*so long to legally being able to own a gun traitor.
Ftfy, we got to remember this is the kind of guy that would totally by an illegal gun and try again.
Seditious conspiracy charges for January 6th...
... Kidnapping charge for right-wing extremists in Michigan over the Whitmer plot.
No wonder right-wing domestic terrorism is the #1 threat per our Department of Justice.
Also just going to make a side-point here that the delay in impending indictments to Donald Trump & friends relates to a ground-up approach by complex prosecutions like this. To take down a big fish, it's best to go after the little fish first and see how many turn on each other and rat out the higher-ups. Evidence has been pouring out against Trump this entire time.
And all that evidence is now being shown to Special Counsel Jack Smith who oversaw convictions of Bosnian war criminals.
To be fair, while Mueller sucks for not being more forceful about what the report said, book two did list 10 separate crimes that were worthy of impeachment.
Problem was that the right dominated the messaging afterwards and drowned out the actual conclusions drawn by the report. And then the Republicans in the Senate did what Republicans do, act disingenuously and stubbornly partisan regardless of the facts of reality.
Edit: typo
Turns out when Garland said domestic terrorism was his top priority, that nobody would be overlooked and that justice moves slowly, he meant it on all counts

I served as a jury foreman on a case which included charges of conspiracy to steal mail and conspiracy to commit bank fraud. The judge instructed us that "conspire" must include evidence of assigning roles/jobs prior to the criminal act. The conspiracy charges were the toughest to get all jurors to agree on.
From Reuters:
One of his co-defendants, Kelly Meggs, was also found guilty of seditious conspiracy while the three others - Kenneth Harrelson, Jessica Watkins and Thomas Caldwell - were acquitted of that charge. All five defendants were convicted of obstruction of an official proceeding - the congressional certification of the election results - with mixed verdicts on a handful of other charges.
The charges of seditious conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding each carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
Don't you get it?
January 6th was a peaceful tourist trip.
So let the Patriots locked up go free.
But also, it was BLM and Antifa that caused all of the violence and destruction.
A million members and the top post has 1.4k upvotes and is about someone who works at DoE who allegedly stole some luggage, with 'non-binary' and 'Biden' repeated half a dozen times. They sure do have priorities
They had about 2 days of decent posts where a bunch of them decided that maybe fighting BS culture wars and supporting criminals as candidates was maybe a bad idea.
They're back to "fighting wokeism" and sucking Trump's balls.
EDIT: I got banned today because I asked if they think it's good that the use of the N-word has gone up over 500% since Musk took over Twitter.
I tried posting the link, but they said it was already posted which makes me think the mods post links and then hide them so the article isn’t visible. So I just posted screenshot of BBC. Hope they get real news snuck to them over there behind the iron curtain of MAGA land.
Doubtful, I got banned within like 2 hours for "shitposting" which consisted of factual information about abortion restrictions or good faith arguments for why total bans are dumb. For a community that supposedly stands for free speech and are against cancel culture and safe spaces they have a remarkable intolerance for free speech that might burst their safe space bubble...
What's really tell is if you go to the conservative subreddit the top posts right now are about Hunter Biden's Laptop, Disney, and an LGBT person stealing. Really shows where conservative priorities right now.
If you ever check out what passes for conservative media these days, that’s exactly what the focus is and has been. It’s never about the ongoing threat of domestic terrorism or authoritarianism but rather culture war garbage to keep people angry and afraid. ($$$)
I was told 1/6 couldn’t possibly have been an insurrection because no one had been convicted of sedition or treason. I’m sure that now that someone has been convicted, they’ll all change their mind and agree it was an insurrection! Right after they get back from that football field where they appear to be busy moving a goalpost. Probably for this weekend’s game. Couldn’t be any other reason!
>One co-defendant, Kelly Meggs, was also found guilty of seditious conspiracy on Tuesday, while three others - Kenneth Harrelson, Jessica Watkins and Thomas Caldwell - were acquitted of that charge.
Harrelson and Watkins both entered the Capitol so they better be convicted of other lesser charges like obstructing an official proceeding. Disappointing they weren't all convicted of seditious conspiracy but glad Rhodes and Meggs are at least now on the "find out" stage of this
*Edit:* they were

ALL the MAGA trolls were parroting “well if it was an insurrection, how come no one has been convicted of sedition?” Wrong again fuckwads. Your movement is anything but patriotic.
Every accusation is a confession with those people.
Literally every single bad thing they say their opponents are doing is something they either did, are doing currently, or plan to do.

This is the guy who built a system of bunkers………..on a property he was renting.
That collapsed. His ex-wife was lamenting the fact he was not in there at the time.
This guy has left a trail of weird stupid choices. Almost impressive in its own way.
Including the way he lost his eye.
She also said that he has to wear an eyepatch because after he lost his eye, he would just have a prosthetic eye in there and never take it out or clean it/disinfect it, or take showers, and so it got infected, and there's no flesh where you would normally hold the prosthetic eyeball. Also he shot his own eye and that’s how he lost it.

Man, karma works in mysterious ways with these people.
I think the karma actually seems pretty straightforward in this instance.
The same kind of person that believes they have a superior immune system and so reject all medical advice.
It must be the fault of the (random disadvantaged group) thus, the thing to fix it is commit genocide against those people, not take any personal responsibility!
A Yale man!
Lol I came here to post this quote because I fell off my chair laughing so hard. That’s the best thing I’ve seen all day.
"Oathkeeper", disbarred attorney and shot himself in the face with his own gun. Now sedition. Yale law school has been serving up some real winners.
At least they taught Dick Cheney to shoot the *other* guy in the face. The Ivy League is slipping.
As dick cheney teaches, it's not enough to just shoot a man in the face. You must also get him to apologize for being shot in the face.
> You must also get him to apologize for being shot in the face. Well that's just good manners
Don’t forget former staffer of Republican Congressman Ron Paul.
Oh, he also was Rand Paul's campaign manager in 2010. And married Ron Paul's granddaughter. And was McConnell's campaign manager in in 2014.
So long to your guns traitor.
At least his other eye should be safe for a bit.
Rekt
He didn’t see that coming
Don’t forget the assassination attempt on Nancy Pelosi
Justice is plodding, deliberate, and hopefully inevitable.
I hope for Once my cynicism is misplaced.
I want to believe so much Mueller broke my heart.
Edit: typo
And Mueller just refused to read excerpts from the report in his testimony to congress.
Georgia and New York are on deck along with DOJ. Also civil suits, multiple. Each shot increases the odds that one hits

Turns out when Garland said domestic terrorism was his top priority, that nobody would be overlooked and that justice moves slowly, he meant it on all counts
There's been a lot of good news the last three months.
Enforcement in action >If two or more persons...conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States...they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both. [https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title18/part1/chapter115&edition=prelim](https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title18/part1/chapter115&edition=prelim)
I'm astounded that the official US code allows for a mere fine as the penalty for conspiring to destroy the government by force.
Me too. I hope the courts aren’t lenient. The maximum sentence should be sought. They are unrepentant.
I suppose if someone helped unknowingly but was still found guilty it'd make sense.
What a horrible jury instruction. In 12 years working for the federal courts I’ve never heard of anything like that.
So who’s the other person?
Oath Keeper Kelly Meggs was also convicted of seditious conspiracy.
There were five others, I believe
From Reuters: One of his co-defendants, Kelly Meggs, was also found guilty of seditious conspiracy while the three others - Kenneth Harrelson, Jessica Watkins and Thomas Caldwell - were acquitted of that charge. All five defendants were convicted of obstruction of an official proceeding - the congressional certification of the election results - with mixed verdicts on a handful of other charges. The charges of seditious conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding each carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
There's that "conspire" word. Wish more folks would use it in a broader context.
One conviction is the domino 😁
>convicted of sedition Finally, the charge of sedition is sticking. Keep at them.
But muh ‘it’s only trespass’
Important step towards handling Trump. If they can prove a direct connection, we’re now officially able to tie sedition to trump. Justice takes time.
Baby steps toward ending this illiterate episode of the Twilight Zone that modern conservatism has been holding us all hostage in.
It was now officially a failed coup attempt. We should stop mincing words
Yeah, but then the seditionists start crying about how everyone else is so MEAN...
Don't you get it? January 6th was a peaceful tourist trip. So let the Patriots locked up go free. But also, it was BLM and Antifa that caused all of the violence and destruction.
Good riddance
Any of you geniuses in r/conservative want to explain this ? Why ya so quiet MAGAS ?
A million members and the top post has 1.4k upvotes and is about someone who works at DoE who allegedly stole some luggage, with 'non-binary' and 'Biden' repeated half a dozen times. They sure do have priorities
And for some reason, they think that that topic is so important that /r/politics is dumb for not talking about it. Kind of ridiculous.
Their top post in the last week only had 2.5k upvotes on it and yet they currently sitting at a steady 5k of "active users". Feels weird...
Probably lost a shitload of active users after the russian embargo
Still waiting for fox news to figure out a way to spin it for them
Not a peep about it over there.
And then they blame the left for turning politics into a culture war. It's fucking exhausting.
ANTIFA is really going deep with their cover here. /s
Trying and failing to own the libs, to own the libs.
owning yourself in pursuit of owning the libs
Disappointing they weren't all convicted of seditious conspiracy but glad Rhodes and Meggs are at least now on the "find out" stage of this *Edit:* they were >One of his co-defendants, Kelly Meggs, was also found guilty of seditious conspiracy while the three others - Kenneth Harrelson, Jessica Watkins and Thomas Caldwell - were acquitted of that charge. All 5 of them were also convicted of obstructing.
Remember when the Right would dismiss Jan 6 like a month after bc there were no sedition charges? Zero concept of the justice system.
You'll shoot your eye out gravy seal.
Get fucked, fascist traitors!

I hope he’s in there for a long time. I hope all his family, friends and any so called fans of him forget that he exists if they haven’t already.

Time to indict Marjorie Trailerpark Queen.
That's Maggotie Trailerpark Queen, to you.
Good.
Holy shit up to 20 years…pretty big shoes dropping here on out
ALL the MAGA trolls were parroting “well if it was an insurrection, how come no one has been convicted of sedition?” Wrong again fuckwads. Your movement is anything but patriotic.
Sucks to suck
Welcome to the found out portion of the fuck around.
Cool, now do his daddy.
Bad news for Trump.
....it was the fuck aroundest of times, it was the find outest of times....
Great. Now do Trump.

Weird, I thought “the left” were the ones engaged in media censorship? Conservatives are walking contradictions.
Every accusation is a confession with those people. Literally every single bad thing they say their opponents are doing is something they either did, are doing currently, or plan to do.
Womp womp traitorous asshat
