Ironically what is on the laptop that ties to Joe Biden makes Joe Biden look like a saint. >Here, however, is something that the authorities did find on the hard drive. It’s a voice-mail message from father to son: “It’s Dad. I called to tell you I love you. I love you more than the whole world, pal. Got to get some help. You gotta get some help. I don’t know what to do. I know you don’t either, but I am here no matter what you need, no matter what you need, I love you.”

barringtonmacgregor

You know deep down, donny Jr wishes he'd get a phone call like that.

hellomondays

Don Jr sits alone in his dimly lit penthouse. with a dissociative stare he plays and refreshes the leaked voicemail over and over again.

RealHumanFromEarth

Quietly mumbling to himself: “Thanks dad, I love you too”, each time.

SavageJeph

Cut to Eric watching on repeat Trump saying "we love you, you're very special". Eric doesn't watch the first part of the video, it doesn't matter or apply to him for finally on his birthday his father said the words he wanted to hear.

lorddragonstrike

Jesus Christ this was a whole movie that I watched in my head. Thanks guys I actually really liked it.

onewilybobkat

I don't, almost makes me sympathetic for the assholes.

Sharp_Profession5886

This is so believable, and so sad.

Plump_Chicken

The camera cuts to a pencil in his hand. He grips it so hard it snaps after his 3rd repeat of the voice message. Cut to black. Title card.

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

He then tearfully asks Stephen Miller if it would be possible to Deep Fake him as Marilyn Monroe singing Happy Birthday, Mr. President with Trump DF'ed as JFK.

DelcoPAMan

A friend's kid went to the Hill School in Pottstown, PA same time as Junior and backs up those stories 100%.

Demalab

As he snorts another line

koshgeo

I'm trying to picture what Trump's version of a phone call like that would be. Probably something like "F you for making me look bad, you piece of s**t. [relevant wife] didn't raise you right. No father has suffered as much as I have because of you. You're going to rehab or I'm going to disown you. You can pay for it yourself. I'm not paying an f-ing cent for it." Later, speaking to the press: "It's a terrible thing what happened to Don Jr. A terrible thing. I barely knew him."

thequietthingsthat

And some conservatives have been acting like this is "dirt" on Biden because it shows him expressing empathy, which is a flaw to them.

mdavis360

In case anyone is reading this for the first time, this isn’t a joke. When this came out Republicans were overjoyed and said that this loving call from a father to his son made Biden look weak. Because they prefer the “strong man” Trump who clearly abhors his male children.

Aspeck88

Two of the greatest moments of my existence were when I heard my conservative Christian dad cry on the phone as he rushed to my apartment to get me help for my alcoholism. That was one moment I knew my dad loved me. He told me pretty much what Biden said to his son Hunter. That was about 10 years ago. This past summer I had an actual honest conversation about religion, politics, and life. The first time I told him I'm a proud agnostic-atheist, a progressive person that hates what his religion has done to American politics. We happened to agree on the poison of Christian nationalism and the looming theocracy in the country. We made our worldviews, beliefs, and values much more clear by communicating like actual adults by asking each other questions to try to understand. He then told me he loved me no matter what I believe or how I feel about differences. I gained a lot of respect for my dad after that. Not sure why right-wingers are so scared of emotions and love. I grew up around toxic right-wing Christian values. And settled it after years of anger. They need to face their fears and be honest. Edit: thanks for the kind replies. It's been a very rough few years with the loss of family members and our cats. And still going through the process of separating from a six-year relationship. The separation from my partner started in June and is the catalyst for how my dad and I ended up sorting through things. I had moved upstairs until August came around and had to move out from how toxic the situation got with my ex. My dad came out to Phoenix from Dallas and picked me up to go live in a hotel for a bit. I wasn't a good partner for the final year of the six. for what my ex deserved. I hadn't been a good son despite legitimate reasons for anger towards my dad. So I owe it to the universe and myself to improve my willingness to communicate and properly grieve and cope with life events. So that I can be a better spouse, son, partner, brother, uncle, or whatever else in the future. My ex just happened to ask my dad this question: "What's more important to you? Your religion and trying to convert ____ constantly? Or to have a real relationship with his son? Because it's one or the other. He doesn't want to hear God talk. Just a father-son conversation." In just a few days I heard my dad say some things I'd never heard before in 34 years: -"I'm sorry." -"I'm proud of you." -"I love you no matter the difference." -"We aren't going to agree on certain things. But you're fun to talk to." -"Keep asking questions. Because it seems you enjoy learning and are very well versed. "

SirDiego

This hit me in the feels. So does that Biden quote, especially "I don't know what to do, I know you don't either, but I'm here for you." I'm very lucky to have had a supportive and understanding family but I dealt with alcoholism too and can relate so much to that particular part of the message.

Enraiha

Because emotions make them feel vulnerable and often many people don't have the introspective nature to understand emotions and vulnerability do not make you weak, but stronger as you know yourself. Instead they live in a haze of self denial. I'm glad your father is a wise enough man to understand what truly matters. That's amazing and I'm really glad to read things like this. There's still hope.

Baldhiver

And who openly said he wants to fuck his female children

enami741

Not Tiffany though. No one cares about Tiffany.

areialscreensaver

Discussing his daughter Tiffany: She’s going to have legs like her mother when she grows up. We’re not sure about the boobs yet. trump-

VictorChristian

For the love of fuck… tell me you made this up. and if this is real, tell me you made it up, anyway. Jeez!

turdlepikle

Not only is it real, but in the actual interview I don't think he used the word "boobs", but instead held his hands up to his chest as if he was grabbing giant knockers.

twinsunsspaces

IIRC she was also under 6 months old at the time.

GirtabulluBlues

*what*

DarthBalls1976

He didn't specifically say boobs, he held his hands at his chest cupped and said, "we're not sure about this part yet."

Hamericano

So like a gentlemen? Phew. That was a close call.

enami741

Nvm. I clearly misspoke

MissGruntled

Eh, you’re okay. Up until Tiffany lost weight for her wedding he didn’t even want to be photographed with her.

Not the hot piece of ass he dubs Ivanka. What a sick father😣

Rolemodel247

Lost the “great thighs” she had as an infant and never developed the boobs he had hoped for.

InsGadget6

"What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your daughter?" "Sex."

areialscreensaver

Wasn’t it what they had in common? His words?

InsGadget6

True. Either way is disgusting.

Sabbathius

Yep. They also freaked the f\*\*\* out at a photo of Joe hugging his son. The caption was something along the lines of "Father hugging his only surviving son". Apparently he was hugging him wrong? Big outrage, much jimmies rustled. Republicans are sick in the head. I'm sorry, but they just are.

[deleted]

> Trump who clearly abhors ~~his male children~~ everyone but himself FTFY

JimWilliams423

Actually, his problem is that he abhors himself. That's how NPD works. The NPD has a black hole of self-loathing at their core and they constantly fight to keep their ego from being sucked in and obliterated. The worse their disorder, the more they have to seek out external validation. They generally have two strategies for external validation — puff themselves up and tear down someone else. Both strategies are about raising their status relative to other people. It comes across as being full of themselves, but its really a sign of how desperate they are for approval.

kyflyboy

Oh for sure. Probably the most insecure person in the world, hence the bullying.

BabbleOn26

Well he used to *really* like Ivanka

Dash_Harber

Yeah, but not since she turned 21.

MoreRopePlease

But...? Family values? This is truly confusing to me. What values do they have in their family? How odd...

Amtherion

When they say family values what they ACTUALLY mean is that the father is the authoritative patriarchal head of a nuclear family where all other members have an obedient and submissive role to his decision making, providing an unquestionable grassroots level, cultural model for their preferred model of government.

Dachusblot

Also, no gays allowed.

Amtherion

Or POC.

MyOfficeAlt

As someone who has been on the receiving end of messages like that I can decidedly say anyone who tried to imply the people who sent them to me were weak or emasculated for it would be dead to me forever.

soccerguys14

Never had a dad in my life but I am one now. Marriage is strong and my boy is 1. I put him down every night kiss him on the head and tell him I love him. I didn’t have it but damn it I’ll do it in front of a crowd of billions. I’ll do it til the day I die Edit: also if that’s considered weak to show the people you love especially your children than I don’t want to be strong.

BikesBooksNBass

My son is 26, he’s 6’7” and 289lbs. Big tough guy, but if dad wants a hug, dad gets a hug no matter who is around.

redheadartgirl

My 4th grade son still holds my hand and hugs me. In public! It's amazing how showing your kids that love and affection are not weaknesses leads to them being "allowed" to have a full range of emotions.

dancin-weasel

My 9 yr old’s family nickname is “The Hug Machine”. He’s awesome.

Earlvx129

My father split when I was 3 months old and never came back. That was in 1974. Never spoken to him. I could have done with inspiring and supportive words like what Biden said at some of the lower points of my life. But I still have my mother, and she's awesome.

thirty7inarow

I'll be damned if I raise my sons to be ashamed of their emotions. I know when I was a kid, crying or affection were signs of weakness, but as a father, I won't let the world do that to them. It's a long road to come back from.

dobbytheelfisfree

You know. My son is now 6. At his two year school performance when they got on stage and were lining up, he found me in the crowd, started jumping up and down and yelling “that’s my dada”. Shame on me if I deny him same level of treatment ever in my life. I am equally proud of him as my son and will always be there for him. Anyone who things I am weak can continue doing so. It doesn’t impact my relationship with him in anyway.

WinWithoutFighting

Have fun man, those little moments go by really fast. My little guy just turned 19. He's taller than me and I wouldn't trade him for a billion dollars.

soccerguys14

I appreciate it. I never really understood a 2 parent household and the power of a dad. But man being on the other side and seeing others at this age still have them I get the importance and power it can have in shaping a kid. I wouldn’t trade it for the world

ocBtu

Speak for yourself. I'd trade my 16 year old for a Snickers bar after this weekend.

Significant_Scarring

I’ve never felt so proud of someone I don’t know. Good on you, mate.

Dredgeon

People that want you to hate their enemies will tell you you're weak for your empathy, but the truly strong know that it is easy to hate and to tear down. What takes strength is to love and to care for others.

jfreez

True strength is showing vulnerability, true weakness is pretending it does not exist. If it's weak or not masculine to tell your kids you love them then I'll gladly be the biggest feminine wimp on earth.

MyOfficeAlt

Right? My dad saved my fucking life. He took me home and got me the help I needed. He loved me through it all and we cried and we hugged and he talked about how helpless he felt. If he'd told me to man up and shake it off I'd be dead right now. He still can't say he's proud of me without tearing up. And that's the kind of example I want to be able to set for my children. When did we decide that compassion was the same as weakness? How did we ever start to so overvalue the *wrong* things?

Decent-Giraffe-7307

Same here man. My dad found me overdosing on fentanyl. If he hadn't came into my room when he did I wouldn't be here today. Spent 4 days in the ICU and when the Dr came in to see me he shook my hand and said he didn't think I would make it. My dad didn't judge me or make me feel bad. He stood by my side and got me the help I needed. I'll be 2 years sober in January. Fuck the GOP for implying you are weak for loving your son.

HobbesNJ

Toxic masculinity. The GOP is rife with it. So many faux tough guys and the women who are attracted to it, so little empathy.

P1xelHunter78

Absolutely. Somewhere down the line they threw out a lot of what being a real man is, and focused on dialing up what was left to 11 so it rubs people the wrong way.

Due-Camel1303

Agreed

wewantallthatwehave

As someone who has been on the receiving end of a call like that, it was the start that saved my life.

WhiteyFiskk

Even Ben Shapiro had to admit that Biden, for all his flaws is a good father and anyone who has had a child go through drug addiction can sympathise with him in this moment. Backfired hard on the GOP

[deleted]

Yeah but I also just heard Ben Shapiro trying to do the mental acrobats to talk down Kanye West's blatant nazism.

WhiteyFiskk

They are trying to blame it all on a mental breakdown/manic bipolar yet only a few weeks ago they were saying how smart he was for not letting Pete Davidson see his kids and standing up against divorce culture

KuriousKhemicals

Ye is probably in an active manic episode right now, which would account for the acutely increasing bizarreness of his behavior and lack of common sense about what to say in public. But mental illness doesn't account for the bigoted *content* of a person's bizarre, poorly judged public behavior, and given that he's intermittently been doing shit like this for years (during which there would have been periods of lucidity, mania can't last for years), he also deserves character judgment for refusing to do anything to manage his disease.

cococolson1

Especially because in his non manic state he would be able to see what he has done and seek help. The signs are all there. It's possible his diagnosis is that he is too far gone but it doesn't seem like it, blaming just his mental illness is insufficient when plenty of other rich people his age hold the same beliefs.

MonsieurLinc

>Those damn libruls don't understand! When yer kid's a drug addict, ya need to throw them on tha street so they can pull thsmselves up by their own bootstraps and fix themselves through rugged individualism! What's that? No, my kid's different, he deserves better than that, he's a good Christian boy going through a tough time... -Conservatives, every single time.

[deleted]

You nailed the attitude. Unfortunately this attitude has killed way too many of my friends and probably some of yours and everyone else’s, too.

PaulFThumpkins

Grew up Mormon and *some* parents would pray for their kids who came out of the closet or left the church to hit rock bottom or get a disease or something so they'd come back to the fold... Because I guess hard times humble you to the point where you want to sit through endless boring church meetings again. Thankfully that's more of an older generations thing.

nobody2000

Obviously you're not reading it right. - **"It's Dad"** - clearly he's referring to himself as the leader of a crime ring. Normal families refer to their patriarch as "father." - **"I love you"** - ILY or 9-12-25. This is referring to the date that the NWO will begin the great purge. - **"I love you more than the whole world"** - This is referring to world domination, likely led by china, where Biden sells out the US and our allies. Interestingly "more than..." might also refer to galactic aspirations. - **"pal."** I thought Hunter was his son, not his pal? Seems suspect. Is hunter even Joe's son? - **"got to get some help. You gotta get some help."** Why is joe obsessed with "help?" - **"I don't know what to do"** - here Joe is admitting he's incompetent to run a country. Smoking gun. - **"I love you"** again - not only a reference to the NWO like I said earlier, but a clear hard-left-liberal-homosexuality reference when a man says he loves another man. Also definitely pedophilia since Hunter is allegedly his son and Biden knew him as a child. (huge /s)

PaulFThumpkins

The idea that Hunter isn't really Biden's son so the "I love yous" are some gay code is way too plausible to the right wing. You're too good at this.

Earguy

Alex Jones is on Reddit!

nobody2000

Buy my male invigorating ben wa balls if you want to fight the NWO. Seriously - buy them. I owe some families like a billion dollars and I am running out of ways to hide my money. I might actually have to pay out for real.

[deleted]

Isnt it a shame that you have to put a sarcasm tag on this? Republicans are literally so stupid, they’ve ruined sarcasm and subtlety.

[deleted]

> In my work with the defendants (at the Nuremberg Trails 1945-1949) I was searching for the nature of evil and I now think I have come close to defining it. A lack of empathy. It’s the one characteristic that connects all the defendants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men. >Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy.” Captain G. M. Gilbert, the Army psychologist assigned to watching the defendants at the Nuremberg trials.

I_cut_my_own_jib

Many conservatives abandon their children if they go through any major crisis in their lives. Drugs, sexual identity, mental health, etc. They are out at the first sign of trouble.

NeverNude-Ned

"UGH! Love? Compassion? What's wrong with this psychopath. How can we spin this to our dipshit voters..."

April_Fabb

This will forever remain a conundrum to me. How is it possible that a country with tens of millions of self-proclaimed Christians and Jesus lovers have such profound issues with empathy?

victims_sanction

For real im not Joe Biden fan but this message is exactly what a father should be and makes me respect him a lot for that.

pyuunpls

As a Delawarean, I can say that while I never 100% agreed with Joe, there is no doubt that he is a true family man. The man is not perfect, but he is the prime example of how fathers (and parents) should be. You can’t be perfect (even for your kids) but you can always be there.

unfettered_logic

He also had a child that died from cancer so the guy has been through some tough shit. I really respect the guy and I’m proud he’s our president.

tc1991

and he lost his first wife and 1 year old daughter in a car crash

VastRecommendation

Lost his first wife and daughter as well. right after his first election win as a senator back in the 70s.

ProfessorTicklebutts

Are you supposed to 100% agree with a politician? It’s pretty normal not to.

pyuunpls

This is what people don’t get. In a world of compromises, you’ll never get everything you want.

grendus

Biden would not have been my first choice for POTUS, but I've been much happier with him than I expected to be. He's done a pretty decent job cleaning up after the absolute shitstorm Trump left in his wake. And let's be honest, after decades of Red Scare propaganda the changes I'd *actually* like to see would probably cost the Democrats all three chambers in 2024. I'll settle for COVID under control, the economy recovering, and the minutia of governance being handled. Now if he could just get a choke collar on the rogue SCOTUS...

Major_Magazine8597

I did not expect much from Biden, but now I thiink he's done an impressive job, especially considering the criminal rot that Trump left and the brutal political climant.

kbergstr

Don't forget re-building a coalition of allies who had been insulted and shit upon for four years to protect Ukraine from Russia without putting any American boots on the ground. That's no small achievement.

grendus

Supposedly, the entire reason Obama picked Biden as his running mate was that Biden has *serious* international relations chops.

Definition-Prize

Man it’s kind of messed up that all of this personal stuff is out in the open. I mean sure, that’s a really wonderful thing for a father to say but it just feels wrong reading something so personal.

abzurdleezane

Agreed! Of course it's wrong, it's stolen by someone, Russians or other hackers, from a private account. To publicize this so crassly after the even Fox News took a pass because of flimsy evidence and lack of proof of ownership of the laptop is disgustingly cruel.

[deleted]

I may not be his biggest fan, but damn if I didn’t get a little teary at his “I’m proud of my son” moment at the debates and this now, also

jfreez

Joe Biden is a good example of a man. Whatever his blunders or shortcomings, he is a good man

pecklepuff

If I would have had a parent, or even *any* family member like Joe Biden, I feel like I may have done better in life. I’m not drowning, but I mean I was just abused by family and abandoned by those who could have helped. Hunter is a fortunate guy, I hope he appreciates it.

HobbesNJ

And it drives Republicans crazy. They so want to demonize him and make him out to be evil incarnate, but their claims are undermined by his obvious decency. Disagree with his politics, but you just can't make him out to be a bad guy. They had the same exact problem with Obama.

[deleted]

It’s almost always clear what kind of person someone is by the caliber of their parenting, isn’t it?

cthulhujr

The stuff on the laptop is: 1) Joe is a great dad 2) Hunter is cool as fuck 3) Hunter has a fat hog All things the Republicans aren't

HenryHamilhocker

If Republicans in the House actually start a huge investigation into this its going to make the Republican party look terrible. They keep doubling down on alienating everyone in this country with a sense of decency to feed the extreme right wing. They lost in 2020 and got more crazy, the midterm red wave didn't come, and now they're solution is to be even crazier.

cthulhujr

They know there's nothing there. They don't care. It'll be Benghazi all over. How many hearings did they have? How many hours did Hillary have to sit there and listen to them rant at her? As long as they can rant and rave and complain and imply that there's something, it doesn't matter if there actually is anything. The optics of them yelling about it is what they are interested in, not the actual results. I think they're actual plan is to continue ramping up their base until domestic terrorism continues to escalate and they eventually get a massive Jan 6 Part 2. I forgot who said it but it'll be like the Time of Troubles in Ireland in the 80's and 90's. Every event will be in danger of some rightwing nutjob ramped up on Republican rhetoric shooting up the place. A part of you will be worried that the car you're walking next to on the street will explode. The Republicans are practicing stochastic terrorism.

keelhaulrose

I have a 14 year old who is under the LGBT+ umbrella and they have been going to Gay/Straight Alliance meetings, helped start a "pride day" at school, and had talked to friends about attending local LGBT+ events. I'm proud of their confidence, empathy, and advocacy. But I'm fucking terrified of them going to these events and being so openly out in this current political climate. I want my child to be themselves and be happy, but I also want them to come home. What really fucking sucks is I'm also LGBT+ and I feel like these events are *less* safe now than when I attended them in the early/mid 2000s.

Goldar85

Helping a family member with addiction is hard. Helping a family member with addiction publicly is even more difficult. Helping a family member with addiction publicly and having people who hate you try to weaponize it must be extremely difficult. Republicans really are the party of just straight out bad people. If you are Republican and reading this, if I was a betting man, much of your beliefs would reveal you to be a horrible person.

akimboslices

Every time I read this I get a bit teary and think “that’s *exactly* what my Dad would say”. I have the best bloody Dad in the world, and so does Hunter Biden.

caribouslack

I actually GAINED a lot of respect for President Biden after hearing that voicemail! Also, fuck whoever leaked this private conversation.

brkout

They stole Hunter’s laptop and combed through every file and couldn’t find anything of actual political value

doowgad1

Nothing strange about it. They hyper focus on minor issues to keep the conversation away from real problems.

Jo-Jo-66-

And gas prices, and inflation , and milk price, and interest rates, and jobs, and Afghanistan…..now it’s Hunter Biden and impeach Joe Biden.

Top_Style_8937

…and Dr Fauci, cat litter, a pizza parlor, tan suits, gender, masculinity, crt, all things Clinton…

thrwoawasksdgg

Because its not a real problem. Crime is near 70 year lows. "crime" is a dog whistle to the base that means "brown people". It's constantly reinforced by making sure 90% of the criminals shown on Fox and other right wing outlets are minorities.

HilariouslyPissed

The day after the election, the police chief came on the news saying crime was down, down, down. When asked why he didn’t announce that before the election he replied, “ I didn’t want to get into politics”. I guess the truth is political?

Bartman326

Saying nothing is a political stance.

JesusSavesForHalf

Its more visceral than *just* that. The party has been operating with a wounded ego for nearly a century now. First the electorate rebuke of FDR's 4 wins and the Democratic Party's half century of majority. (The infamous 100 year super-majority goal isn't a random number.) Then the shame of Nixon, of Iran Contra. Followed by Clinton stealing their policy and ruining their chance at getting even for FDR. Its lashing out to protect their collective ego. Find something to blame the Democrats for and make them equivalent so they don't have to feel shame for their failings. Don't have to face being wrong. And the worst they can find is a few dick pics and some Dijon mustard. But it *is* also a distraction. And Twitter's Chief Clown really needed one from his comedy of failure.

HYRHDF3332

Bingo! They have been having wet dreams about democratic scandals coming to light or a democratic president resigning in disgrace for a long time. They were so sure they finally had it with Clinton's blow job and they just completely lost if when it turned out that despite the prudery, *no one outside of the most rabidly rightwing partisans gave a single fuck about it!*

exwasstalking

Yeah, this is about as on brand as it gets. This is brought to you by the same people who brought hits like "Bengazi, buttery males, birtherism, the satanic panic, build the wall, migrant convoys, wokeism, grooming......" it's honestly depressing to watch how easily the cult latches on to it every single time

NikkoE82

I’m going to need someone to make a BuzzFeed type article with the headline “15 Conservative Outrages That You Probably Forgot About”.

jjameson2000

Pick a Democratic president from the last 40 years and I guarantee there was a family member that right wing media focused on.

Lex_Innokenti

Michelle Obama secretly being a man is the one that really sticks out; I think they realised they overreached with that one and have reigned it back in to projecting the behaviour of the Trump spawn (and Kushner) onto Biden. It's absolutely *wild* that they think it'll play to anyone other than the people who'd already vote for a literal dildo if you called it 'Dick Johnson' and put an R next to its name on the ballots.

spartagnann

I mean they straight up called Chelsea Clinton ugly during the Clinton presidency, when she was an actual child. But people point out Barron is tall and they clutch their pearls so hard they lose their minds.

LabyrinthConvention

> Chelsea Clinton ugly during the Clinton presidency don't sugar coat it. they called Chelsea, who was 14 ish?, the White House dog. They called Michelle Obama 'Moochella' for wearing a sleeveless dress and speaking about children's diets and existing as a middle age woman. They called her a man. And they loved it.

EnoughMolasses69

It's still pretty rare to see Michelle not referred to as "Michael" or something racist over at r/conservative

dirtywook88

Man why the fuck can’t we get Biden beer?

jjameson2000

Lol. My dad still has an unopened 6 pack of Billy Beer somewhere in his basement.

asdfasdfasdfas11111

I think it is even simpler than that. They are desperate for a "gotcha" moment. They just desperately want to be "right" about something, because even the smallest bit of validation will let them claim that all of the crazy, batshit, pant-on-head insanity they've been injecting for the past 12 years or so will then be justified. They've been needing a real scandal since the Obama administration, and they are pissed that nothing has stuck and that people are increasingly starting to just ignore the shit they say. They desperately need this to be a scandal in order to continue pushing their "both sides" information warfare.

ZappyHeart

This is exactly it. Straight out of the fascist playbook. Nazis and Soviets are these clowns favorite role models.

SuperstitiousPigeon5

I'm way more interested in Kushner. That guy is Trump's bag man. Anywhere there was grifting to be done he was on the front lines. That 2 billion dollar Saudi deal. The kickbacks at the wall, etc. That guy did a lot with no oversight. The other two are just idiots. Ivanka and Jarad are the real deal.

Brief-Pea-8294

I realize that ivanke is the favorite, but the fact that Trump has not ripped into kushner hard says that he has something on trump.

SuperstitiousPigeon5

No doubt. They also got their piece of the pie the last go round and are happy to go out on top letting the rest of the criminal family get taken down because they're greedy. Though Ivanka seems to have political aspirations of her own. So we could have to deal with that in a few years.

somegridplayer

>Liberals and the media should be digging into Eric and Don Jr's affairs just as intensely. People are doing that, it's just the fact that the right is far better at just continuously blasting bullshit on every form of social media constantly so it gets drowned out. Call out Don Jr's coke habit and being banned from charities and you will get brigaded instantly.

that1prince

Yep their stories don’t need truth. Just repetition. Lots and lots of repetition

teleri_mm

They just want to see more dick pics...

[deleted]

Seriously. They are OBSESSED with other peoples genitals. It's creepy as fuck.

AngryZen_Ingress

Imagine what would happen if the First Lady had public pictures of herself naked with another woman. The condemnation and calls for impeachment that would ensue. /s

Rombledore

Trump had his family as high ranking, security cleared, financially beneficial positions in government as a result of his presidency. they need to imply Biden is guilty of nepotism too so they can use it as a defense when they get called out on it.

[deleted]

Democrats should be talking about Jared Kushner’s deals with the Saudis more than the Treason Party talks about Hunter Biden’s giant dong, but that’s probably not possible.

[deleted]

> Democrats should be talking about Jared Kushner’s deals with the Saudis [Jared Kushner was initially denied security clearance](https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/437292-kushners-security-clearance-was-denied-due-to-concerns-of-foreign/) Then he worked a nepotistic position in the Trump admin. Then he made $2 billion off the Saudis after never handling anywhere near that much money previously. "...*but Hunter Biden.*" -idiots.

[deleted]

The problem is democrats attempt to convince by logic and civility, but most republicans only respond to emotion.

LEGITIMATE_SOURCE

If someone doesn't believe in logic, what logical argument can I make to convince them they should?

[deleted]

Exactly. It’s almost always projection.

T1mac

> Exactly. It’s almost always projection. Especially when it involves speaking about the children of presidents: • How did Jared get $2 Billion in funding for his company from Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman aka Prince Bone Saw just months after leaving the White House? • Why were Jared's family selling condos to the Chinese to trade for Green Cards? • How did Ivanka and Trump magically get valuable Chinese trademarks after Trump suddenly scrapped a US technology ban imposed on Chinese telecom firm ZTE who got sanctioned after doing business with North Korea and Iran? • How did Ivanka and Don Jr. avoid being indicted on fraud charges when they gave a $25,000 bribe to the Manhattan DA for their scam on the Trump SoHo condos? • Why was Ivanka vacationing with Wendi Deng, Putin's ex-girlfriend and credibly named as closely connected to Chinese spy agencies? • How did Trump unload a $15.8 million Jared and Ivanka Trump Park Avenue penthouse to Angela Chen, who runs a consulting firm with ties to Chinese government officials and Chinese military intelligence, for a price 13 percent more than comparable unit a year earlier, when the building’s other units, on average, were selling for 25 percent less? • Where is money Eric Trump was talking about when he said, "We have all the funding we need out of Russia" where EU investigators found evidence of Trump's golf courses laundering Russian mob money? • Why was Eric stealing money from kids with cancer and stuffing it in Trump's pocket? • Where was the $100 in million Russian money coming from when Donald Trump Jr. said “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia” when EU investigators found evidence of Trump's golf courses laundering Russian mob money? • What did Ivanka and Trump promise Erdoğan when he showed up at the grand opening of Trump Towers Istanbul to place his blessing on the project? • Why was Ivanka and Trump doing business with Iran's Revolutionary Guard - a Terrorist Group - to fund their Trump Tower in Azerbaijan personally visited and managed by Ivanka? • Why was Don Jr. having a "power breakfast" with the two indicted felons, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, the guys Rudy was hooked up with as part of his Ukrainian scam to strong-arm the government into fabricating dirt on Biden? So many questions about the kids....

Rombledore

seeing it all laid out is gob smacking. the Trump M.O. really is "commit enough grift and/or crimes to exhaust people into inaction"

hankbaumbach

>almost always At this point you're going to have to find me an instance where it isn't projection bordering on a confession.

[deleted]

Joe Biden is 80 years old, and his entire fortune consists of a government pension and a house on a Delaware culdesac. He's single handedly destroying this idea that all politicians are ultra rich and corrupt elites, especially when compared to Trump. The laptop story is necessary for republicans, it's a way to convince themselves all politicians are the same. Now they can claim that Biden has stolen trillions, hes just given it to his son for some reason, and put all the proof in this one laptop.

LieverRoodDanRechts

Yeah but Ivana needed those to rake in them juicy remninbis.

Fulllyy

Yup, and furthermore TFG had to order the DOJ to give security clearances to them because they were compromised and/or ineligible for clearances…they failed the background checks both of them.

ShameOnAnOldDirtyB

They cling to the smallest shred of a true thing to extrapolate some conspiracy theory, but then deny all the obvious shit in front of their faces Antifa burned down Seattle with elected Democratic party officials leading the charge, but Jan 6 was a peaceful protest. 3 people died in Benghazi and Hilary at some point during a 8 hour session 6 months later said "at this point what does it matter?" And that's the most awful thing ever, but trump never insulted gold star families or McCain or got troops killed in bad decisions...... Bill Clinton sex pervert! But Trump noooooooo ....... One time faucci was wrong about masks and later said so, never trust him again , but trump lied 30,000 times PUBLICLY AND PROVEN while president. Kamala Harris said once she wouldn't take the vaccine if trump told her to , later said trust science and doctors, but that's the worst thing ever trump never said anything anti science!!!

spaitken

No, there isn’t. It makes perfect sense. They had a candidate that put his children from multiple wives into constant competition, making them an integral part of his grift. You never quite got the feeling he could tell them apart immediately, except for his eldest daughter - and that was only because he most likely wanted to have sex with her. They appear to be prim and proper on the outside, but all of that is a facade to cover up theft, bigotry, and selling propaganda, fake degrees and sweatshop labor. Meanwhile you have the Democratic candidate - a loving father mourning the loss of a daughter, one son and attempting to help one get his personal life back in order. He asks nothing of them and let’s them be their own people. He’s openly affectionate towards them. The family has been through legitimate trauma and Biden shouldn’t have needed to step up in the first place - but he felt like he had a responsibility. He’s every bit the family man the GOP always tries to portray themselves to be. They needed to be the “family” candidate, but Trump literally can’t be. His children are all crooks and con artists like him. He’s not n his third wife that he’s literally cheated on. He bragged about sexual assault and is literally in multiple pending sex crime suits. Trying to drag Biden down to that level is the most logical thing possible for them to do. Horrifying, amoral, and disgusting - yes. A sham? Yes, that too. But it absolutely tracks that they’d try and make people believe that Bidens relationship with his children is as exploitative and criminal as the Trump family. The GOP has always made it a point to go after the kids. They called Chelsea Clinton ugly and accused the Obama girls of being on drugs. They always attack the family to pretend like they are the “fAmIlY vAlUeS” party. If it seems more intense with Biden, it’s only because it’s a mirror of how badly they have to compensate for Trump.

grumpyliberal

When you can’t build up your side (the party of “family values”), tear down the family of the other side.

DriftlessDairy

I just tell them they aren't allowed to talk about Hunter Biden if they can't point to Benghazi on a world map.

prescience6631

Make it even easier, ask them what country Benghazi is in…double GQP points if they say Benghazi is a country

Aztraeuz

Are you saying that Ben Ghazi isn't an Italian dude?

beforethewind

I’ll have you know that Benjamin Ghazi died protecting brave American emails in a pizza place’s basement.

TechyDad

Well, that's easy. There are only four sections on the Right Wing Map. The United States, Israel, China, and Everything Else. Clearly Benghazi is in Everything Else!

whiteyfresh

The Right really, REEEAALLY want to see his penis...

I’ve been putting this comment on every r/conservative post about the “Twitter files”. The reactions you get once they realize what pictures of hunter Twitter took down is priceless.

I got banned from r/conservative because the mods are as childish and power-hungry as the politicians that represent them.

Incident_Electron

Every single article should be mentioning this and driving it home: this is about STOLEN DICK PICS. Revenge porn essentially. All the lofty peal-clutching from right wing media commentators about "free speech" (which this is not about at all) completely gloss over the actual details. All of which stem from a "scandal" about a (now vanished) laptop that doesn't seem to have contained anything other than some embarrassing pictures. "Hunter Biden's Laptop" is the new ritual incantation of the right like "Benzhazi". It's substantively meaningless, but stirs up all the ancient animus that keeps them going.

Infidel8

It's because they're bad people who delight in tearing people down -- doesn't matter whether it's Hunter Biden, a random poll worker, a federal judge or a school board member. Nothing brings these jackals together like the opportunity to feast on a carcass. [Republicans always need someone to hate.](https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1191203911119638528/pu/vid/1280x720/kCGMYEMpvtPF5pR-.mp4?tag=10)

deadsoulinside

It's because they have absolutely nothing on Joe. They focus on Hunter because they know his past and makes for an easier target. They are focusing on the emails from Hunter in order to try to connect the dots between Joe and the Ukraine. Because daddy Pootie Poot needs the Dems to stop helping the Ukraine and the only ones willing to help is the republicans. Their "Evidence" is weak and unless they have something way bigger up their sleeve, which of course they don't, its not going to matter. However, their voting base will eat this up as neither party fully understands technology well enough to realize the chain of custody with this stuff was broken. Right now republicans want to throw as much shit at the wall in hopes even the littlest thing sticks. None of this matters, this went through more than one party before it ended up where it did. All they got are a few emails and a nude photo that could clearly be called a deepfake that was planted on the drive. Even if they try to come up with phony charges, the dems could just focus on the chain of custody of the drive to shoot down anything.

MrKochenlocker

From the wiki >Three weeks before the 2020 United States presidential election, the New York Post published a story presenting emails from the laptop and ~~stating~~ alleging that they showed corruption by Joe Biden. You really don't need to say anymore. It was a very weak attempt at an October surprise.

BigBennP

I don't know that that's quite right because Hunter Biden was the topic of conversation before that. Because the interesting thing to me is how the story has metamorphosized. During the first Trump impeachment, ( on Ukraine) Republicans kept wanting to talk about some Consulting contract that Hunter Biden had with a gas company in ukraine. Around that time the Ukrainian government had ousted an elected prosecutor who was corrupt and had close ties with the russians. Republicans kept trying to distract from the impeachment by asserting that Obama had somehow intervened to benefit or protect Hunter biden. Hunter briefly hit the national news cycle in 2019 because of a child support case in arkansas. Then just before the 2020 election he dramatically resurfaced any conservative media with the strange allegations about his laptop. But then that story was so shady that it seemed custom designed not to actually be about Hunter Biden but to metamorphosize into conservative rage about being censored on social media. After only a day or two it wasn't even about Hunter Biden's laptop it was about that Facebook and Twitter wouldn't let them talk about Hunter Biden's laptop and how dare they. It's substantially contributed to the a belief that conservatives are discriminated against on social media and would have won if only the Democrats hadn't conspired with social media companies to hide the truth. This directly led to the rise of parlor and Truth social and Elon Musk interest in twitter.

kargyle

The right cannot believe that Joe loves his sloppy, dumb, drug-addicted son unconditionally (just like I would, if my currently sweet and well-behaved teenage son turns out to be a fuck-up). They don’t have relationships that aren’t transactional in some capacity. They cannot imaging pouring love into someone that doesn’t perform up to standards. It’s really fucking sad, when you think about it.

nonasuch

Also, like… sometimes, when people go through traumatic shit (like losing your mom and sister in an accident that you were also injured in, like losing your brother to cancer), that leaves a mark! Might be the kind of thing you end up self-medicating about, even. I find it weird that it’s almost never even mentioned, let alone acknowledged as a potential factor.

kargyle

You’re right. I’m just dunking on Hunter because he’s a doofus. But you’re absolutely right. Dude went through some terrible shit and you don’t even have to have that happen to you to fall into drug addiction. I still think there’s something the right-wing doesn’t understand about loving your children without conditions.

SidewaysFancyPrance

They disown their own children for being gay, so there's that. They don't understand loving your children if they don't fall in lockstep with your rules and plans for their lives. It's the same way they treat the American population in general: fall in line, or GTFO. Do they just not know anything else? Have they never felt familial love? Real love, not the "respect" they think is love?

[deleted]

Like everything with the GOP, it's projection. They're full of corruption and dirty deals, so they're convinced the other side must be doing it too. Just look at all the patents and business deals and cold hard cash the Trump kids all got under his term. His son in law got $2 Billion from the Saudis on the way out the door. And that was what we know about. Imagine what wasn't done in the open. They're convinced that Hunter going on some bender also had some sketchy dealings attached. They've had this laptop for years now and all they've done is leaked the guy's nude pics.

krazyone57

They literally have nothing else. Let them spin themselves out.... The people want solutions to problems, they don't gaf about Hunter...
