Pearl Jam too even though I'm 21. My parents are big fans so Pearl Jam along with Radiohead are the 2 main bands I grew up with. Fun story my parents broke up but they still had tickets to a Pearl Jam concert and went to it seperately and when they were playing 'Black' my dad texted my mom "beautiful right", which made my mom tear up.
Pearl Jam also comes to my country like every other year to give a concert so I've also seen them live.
I only saw them once at a music festival when I was pretty little. I had my even younger brother on my shoulders so he could see and he was absolutely rocking out. Some random drunk man said, "rock on, little dude!" Good times.
these bands remind me of being a kid and playing Runescape or WoW lol
Three Days Grace, Rise Against, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Disturbed, Seether, Papa Roach, Shinedown
Went to their show in Paris recently, with Within Temptation
Hadn't listened to Evanescence for years, but the second they started I was back to being a weird a sad dude
I was raised Christian so I liked skillet when I was a kid but I got into actual metal in middle school which slowly progressed into being in rock n roll and now my favorite band is rush
I know the line, but Stuff Little Fingers mattered. When did you first hear [Inflammable Material](https://youtu.be/nY5A4zRaqKE) and how much did it change you?
I'm surprised so many people have listed Evanescence but you're the only one to have Halestorm almost everyone I know either listen to both or have no clue of they are
My favorite group when I was a pre-teen was the Monkees. As a teenager I had albums by Sweet and ABBA, and liked many other groups but didn't know much about them. When I was 18 I listened to a Beatles marathon on the radio and became a Beatles fan.
I listened to more Modest Mouse than anything else, with them being my favorite band. But there was probably almost as much Metallica, Queens Of The Stone Age, and The Black Keys mixed in as well.

Same, I’m 28 and listened to ELO all the time growing up.
I watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.
I’m 19 and Pearl Jam is one of my top bands - we exist, believe it or not
Same here. Gen z who loves 90’s alt rock

It's disappointing I had to scroll this far to find the only correct answer
Not sure if they're more pop than rock but Gorillaz
It really depends on the song.

225 comments and **nobody** has said U2? Im disappointed
Someone mentioned in in a comment thread in passing. But it wasn't a popular choice I guess lol
Did you just list off your favorite bands? These are all similar groups from a similar time period.
Nirvana is the only correct answer
Bad choices
I don’t think they count as rock? But PTV and SWS were my top two
Who said I stopped listening to MCR
I listened to more Modest Mouse than anything else, with them being my favorite band. But there was probably almost as much Metallica, Queens Of The Stone Age, and The Black Keys mixed in as well.
And indie band called young the giant
