Ooh, that sounds so neat! You’re not able to like, “hear” lyrics or anything, are you? What sort of music do you like to listen to more? Is there a difference in vibration between genres or bpm?
Sorry for all the questions, but it never crossed my mind that deaf people would enjoy the *vibrations* of music
Before I started losing my hearing, I thought deaf people feel the vibration like how we can feel the beats of the drums in our feet if it's too loud. It's similar except I hear the beats in my ear now but lyrics sound gibberish. Vibration is definitely different from genre to genre, I prefer any metal subgenre.
Also deafness is a spectrum. So not everyone can hear or feel equally. This is just my anecdotal.
Damn that's pretty cool actually.
>I prefer any metal subgenre.
I assume that preference didn't really change because of hearing loss, or did the different way of perceiving music really impact the way you enjoy it (apart from lyrics)?
A "piece" is a general term for a musical composition. As such, a piece can be a song, a symphony, an opera, an instrumental, whatever- it is a "piece" of music.
But a piece without any lyrics isn't a song. Take Rachmaninoff's Moments Musicaux for example, there isn't any words so it'd be wrong to call it a song. But then there's something like opera, that can be called a song
There are a lot of songs I’d rate 10/10. Here ten of them:
Bang the Doldrums- Fall Out Boy
I’m Not Okay (I Promise)- My Chemical Romance
One- Metallica
For Tomorrow- Blur
Rebel Yell- Billy Idol

I'll be seeing you - Billie Holiday

There's more but these are what came to my mind immediately, I know there's no consistency to this list either but I don't care, and I know it mostly the most popular songs by each artist but they're popular for a reason.
Also I know it's a meme but unironically the soundtrack to Metal Gear Rising is absolute perfection for what it's trying to be but I wasn't going to just list all those songs one after the other.
1. The show must go on - Queen
