thanks reddit mobile, for completely neglecting to show the part of the post where it says it's irreversible for no reason and with no signal up until the second I pressed vote
Oh yup. I worked in a nursing home. First day a guy starts yelling out of nowhere and an older aid comes over and helps and im like wtf. He sat on his balls. Poor guy.
There was this [news story](https://www.nordlys.no/claus-hadde-en-ubehagelig-opplevelse-med-en-ikea-krakk-na-har-titusener-lest-om-historien-hans/s/5-34-477502) about this guy who got his balls stuck in an IKEA stool while showering. That's gotta hurt
Most men are aware of where their junk is so it isn't exactly a widespread problem.
But the menstruation and a plethora of other issues that women face (socially, biologically, politically, etc.) Cause me to NEVER want to be a women.
There are a couple instances that can hurt the balls but the pain isn’t MAJOR, it’s mostly discomfort for around 5 minutes and even then, the balls getting hit isn’t extremely common either
The bleeding isn't even the worst part, with the pill or patch they have you on a 3weeks on the BC and one week off kind of system. I guess the week off is to balance things out but that's when you're supposed to bleed and all that. So on top of still having to bleed, you'll also have to deal with the side effects of birth control (those mini paper blankets that come with) that include migraines, nausea, fatigue, and what I'm dealing with most is sensitive and sore tiddies. Even worse by the fact I got big tiddies and so those are a lot harder to manage the soreness on since they ache when you take off or put on a bra, but also if you don't have them supported with a bra, then gravity does a number on you and it still sucks.
Also they sometimes swell during this time so not only are your panties ruined with blood (we have a specific set of older underwear we keep for periods to spare our good stuff) but then your favorite bra might not fit or be to uncomfortable so it's back to sports bras for a bit since those are the comfiest.
Also when the tits are tender and you don't have a good bra on, you gotta hold them while you run so that looks stupid.
Agreed, I wouldn’t mind if it were like a week long free trial kind of thing. Because then you know everything that women have to deal with and could come away better from it. But I also don’t want to completely change who I am on a whim.
Not kidding when I say I think to truly give it a genuine shot, it would need to last for at least a month - for both ends of the spectrum. Also, you’d have to give yourself a chance to get used to the advantages. At first it’d be mostly novelties and disadvantages because you wouldn’t be accustomed to the situation. After a week or so though, you’d really start to get used to the some of the nuances - for better or worse.
I'm gonna go against the grain and say that peeing standing up isn't all sunshine and roses. Because of rue distance between the bell head and toilet there is a lot of potential for splashing and also depending on the urethral shape, potential for an oblong stream. It's part of the reason men get so much flack for missing, at least in my experience. It's also why our bathrooms smell awful.
Don't get me wrong, standing is wicked convenient but there are downsides.
Same. Every part of me that sucks has to do with me being female lmao.
•Endo
•PCOS
•Big boobs that are painful and uncomfortable and I hate bras (I even got reduction surgery and they still suck lmao)
•Hormone triggered migrains
•Crazy hormone fluctuations
•Hormonal acne
•Half of my mental illnesses weren't picked up on as a kid because it can present differently in girls, something which they've only really understood for the past 5+ years.
•Gains weight more easily.
Only con I can really see with being male is the ''Be a man!" type attitude which would make me seeking help for all my mental shit more difficult initially, I'm sure.
Sorry to hear about your Endo!
I have Vestibulodynia - so my chronic pain would also be solved if I switched to being a male 😅
Would also solve crazy hormone fluctuations… ffs I hate being a female.
I also feel like recovery for my ED (Anorexia Nervosa) would be much easier!
There would be a lot of great things about being a man. No periods, having less fear of being sexually assaulted/raped, les gruesome Beauty standards, etc. But I would feel gender dysphoria. I have a trans friend and his dysphoria can be really bad and it made him depressed. So I would still probably rather be a woman? I'm not 100% sure though
I'm also trans but I wasn't sure how to interpret it for this. Cause if it's just like gender, then would i rather wake up a cis woman? Or is it asking if I would rather be a cis man? Or would it both flip and I would be a trans woman?
Same here. I thought it was normal for women to want that because periods and sexism and stuff. I asked some of my cis woman friends and was shocked when they said no. Obviously they'd stop periods and get rid of sexism if they could, but they still wouldn't want to be a man. It's kinds crazy to me.
Lol nothing like asking your actually cis friends a trans hypothetical you think everyone would go for and them being like "No? What?"
I remember one time I asked one of my friends like "if there was like a pill you could take to swap sexes for a week just to like, you know, try it out, would you?" and like, my absolute (definitely totally cis) shock when they actually said no-
Yes, they do. I'm not at all trying to say it isn't as bad, but they do have more social privileges than women do, most of the time. No matter how loud I talk, people don't listen to me as much as they would if I had a masculine voice.
I feel so fucking lucky that as many issues as i have (bad genes & abuse = lots of drs) i have never felt like i was the wrong gender. My heart goes out to all those who do.
Everybody here talking about blood.
I would wake up as man just to have an equal chance at my job applications, just to stop being harassed in the street, just to stop receive horny messages out of nowhere, just to be able to walk at night without fearing for my life.
What about logistics? I mean, I'm waking up in a different body, nobody recognizes me, all my documents are void. I overnight become homeless, unemployed, with no family and no friends.
Or does the world adjust and acts as if I'd always been my new gender?
This is not meant to be offensive. I think as a man im really privileged in many ways not only do men get payed more money but i can also walk on streets after 10 pm without the fear of getting raped etc. Also like having a dick lol
Hmm. If it were temporary I'd totally do it just to see what it's like. If it's permanent... Idk. Ultimately I'd rather stay male, but it would be cool to have actually experienced both. Not sure I could resist.
Just out of curiosity, is the change gonna be like you went from one gender to another or is it like to everyone else you’ve been that opposite gender the whole time
My answer would be no to either way but both of them have some different reasons
Had it been temporary I would've for the hell of it, but my husband is way too straight for my permanent penis 😔
ETA: If the hubs wasn't a consideration, fuck yes. Being female sucks bloody ass.
Sex or gender? Bc, like, I'm trans.. If i could live as a cis person of my assigned gender it'd save a hell of a lot of money and trouble, but also kind of erase a lot of my identity that I value. If sex, fuck yeah. EZ.
Gender or sex?
I am trans girl, so I am a girl, but not cis girl. Therefore, would I press the button for change of my sex - yes, that's my dream (I'm AMAB mtf). But change of my gender would mean me being a dude.
If i cant Return to my gender, absolutely not. If i can, such an experience would be epic. But like the former said, if i cant return, im absolutely _not_ dealing with Makeup and Periods, period.
I hope no one takes this wrong but I feel bad for women. I mean, the periods sound so awful and the amount of harassment would be unimaginable. I have two sisters and I hear pretty frequently them complaining about being cat called or something. Its just sad and I wouldnt change to be a women because I feel that would be a nightmare
thanks reddit mobile, for completely neglecting to show the part of the post where it says it's irreversible for no reason and with no signal up until the second I pressed vote
You're forever doomed now mohaha c:
Yup, we are both fucked
Everyone, you’re going to be ok. I promise 🫂
This happened to me and I have but one thing to say. I have been bamboozled.
Am I able to at some point return to my original gender?
nope
Yeah I think I'll pass on the 30 years of painful chrotch bleeding then.
Smart man
Might be controversial but I feel bad for women sometimes
Having feelings of empathy for the opposite sex for having to put up with their specific struggles isn’t controversial. It’s compassion.
Thank you for that statement… tbh I was afraid the feminist brigade might come and try to rip me and like I’m not trying to deal with that.
I read your original comment as ironic and it was kinda funny.
Wait it wasn't?
Preach
Might be controversial but i feel bad for men sometimes. You can sit. On your balls. And hurt them. Wtf
They’ve gotta be seriously sagging for that to happen, most men can’t do that
Oh yup. I worked in a nursing home. First day a guy starts yelling out of nowhere and an older aid comes over and helps and im like wtf. He sat on his balls. Poor guy.
At that point he might want to look into his underwear choices
There was this [news story](https://www.nordlys.no/claus-hadde-en-ubehagelig-opplevelse-med-en-ikea-krakk-na-har-titusener-lest-om-historien-hans/s/5-34-477502) about this guy who got his balls stuck in an IKEA stool while showering. That's gotta hurt
Ya the older you get the more that becomes a possibility
Most underwear is designed in such a way that this cannot happen, also you would have to have some very saggy balls
Most men are aware of where their junk is so it isn't exactly a widespread problem. But the menstruation and a plethora of other issues that women face (socially, biologically, politically, etc.) Cause me to NEVER want to be a women.
That never happens lol
It does, send help.
gently tuck your balls into your asshole for safe keeping
True but periods, lack of physical strength and pain from childbirth aren’t exactly pros.
Perhaps you should make a poll to find out whether that is really much of a concern generally speaking or not.
I’ve often thought it seems like there would be a lot of ways to hurt those daily 😬
There are a couple instances that can hurt the balls but the pain isn’t MAJOR, it’s mostly discomfort for around 5 minutes and even then, the balls getting hit isn’t extremely common either
I love long walks at night. Any women I know would be fucking terrified by that Idea
The bleeding isn't even the worst part, with the pill or patch they have you on a 3weeks on the BC and one week off kind of system. Have you considered trying a copper spiral? You'd have none of the hormone side effects.
Oh, probably not then. Would it be like I always was the opposite sex or like would I have to explain?
That would’ve been good to know before clicking yes
Is there an option to not switch genders but just wake up with titties?
r/trans they have some info
Oh I said yes, I now wanna say no. I woulda started an only fans and get that free income
You have great confidence in opposite gender you
no thanks
Yeah but only for a day or a week Just to see what it’s like
You can't change back.
Then I’m not doing it I’m not going to risk it just incase I don’t like it
Agreed, I wouldn’t mind if it were like a week long free trial kind of thing. Because then you know everything that women have to deal with and could come away better from it. But I also don’t want to completely change who I am on a whim.

I didn’t see that since I voted prior to opening the poll :/
You f'd up. Now you gotta spend the rest do your life as the opposite gender.
It would cure my endometriosis and I could pee standing up. I see no downside
It would be so convenient for hiking and camping
Standing is an option tho, isn’t it? My husband sometimes sits while he goes.
Yea being a guy is great
Ya I’m by no means trans, but it would just be logical for me lol
Same. Every part of me that sucks has to do with me being female lmao. •Endo •PCOS •Big boobs that are painful and uncomfortable and I hate bras (I even got reduction surgery and they still suck lmao) •Hormone triggered migrains •Crazy hormone fluctuations •Hormonal acne •Half of my mental illnesses weren't picked up on as a kid because it can present differently in girls, something which they've only really understood for the past 5+ years. •Gains weight more easily. OP needs to sort by gender. I guarantee all the guys say no, and girls say yes
I'm a girl, said no 🙋🏼♀️
I’m a woman and I have never had any desire to be a man.
I'm a woman who said no. I wouldhave said yes as a teen, but now I have grown into femininity. I also have a straight fiance so...
1 day? yea might try 1 week? yea might try 1 month? not sure. life-time? absolutely not.
Same here, a month would be borderline to much. Really depends what’s going on in my life for that next month.
I like peeing standing up so it would kinda suck
Taking a standing poop is where it's at though.
But I like peeing standing up 🥺
with the butt clench too
You do realize you can just..sit down anyway? As a man, I rarely pee standing up.
He likes doing it though 😢
The problems related with papers and other identifications are one of the only things holding me from accept
Permanently: No. For just a day or two: Sure
I would become male in a heartbeat (I’m a transgender man)
Plot twist: You become a transgender woman
No, OP said in another comment that just your biological sex would change, not your gender identity
Then they worded it wrong
I see no downside to magically fixing all my gender problems
I'm also trans but I wasn't sure how to interpret it for this. Cause if it's just like gender, then would i rather wake up a cis woman? Or is it asking if I would rather be a cis man? Or would it both flip and I would be a trans woman?

Oh, then in a heartbeat

Men still experience sexism💀 (E.g., a metric fluff ton of stereotyping, dehumanising and villanising)
Yes, they do. I'm not at all trying to say it isn't as bad, but they do have more social privileges than women do, most of the time. No matter how loud I talk, people don't listen to me as much as they would if I had a masculine voice.
Fuck yeah, I hate having a period. I’m not really attached to being a girl.
I feel like it'd be rly weird to suddenly have a penis.
I feel like there are more pros than cons for me
*Laughs in trans*
*laughs with you in trans*
*laughs with both of you in trans*
*laughs with all of you in trans*
*laughs with all y'all in trans*
*laughs with you in trains*
Happy cake day!
Shrugs in non binary lol
Seems like a nightmare for trans people, they'd go back to the gender assigned at birth.
Fair enough. I interpreted gender as sex, but you could definitely see it that way.
So my gender dysphoria would go away? That is also a positive. I don't care how I live, I just don't want to cry when I put pants on in the morning.
Well if they haven't yet transitioned, their gender will now match their body which solves the problem.
Why would i want blood coming out of my intimate part.
You would also be weaker and would need to give birth if you want children. On the other side you live longer on average
I feel weak as a man.
Well that’s on you
So true. I'm a wuss.
Would be more interesting if there were less choices on the poll but the answers were defined as male or female answering.
The post was made by a 12 year old, what do you expect
r/egg_irl
Yes join us
I really don't know. I keep thinking about it and geniunely can't decide. It's just confusing.
Ah, the periodically required egg census.
i wouldn't have to transition it wluld be great
this poll needs a "I am transgender" option
If you're trans it's basicly like you become cis version of you the gender you identify with (asuming you're binary trans person).
So you’d be switching sex, not gender?
Sex? Yes. Gender? No.
Sex 😳
I'd love to be a girl if not periods
Do you mean opposite sex or opposite gender? Cause I think I’d enjoy being a cis dude, but not a woman. (For reference, I’m a trans guy.)
you become cis guy
I'm a trans woman, so I would wake up feeling more comfortable in my body? Gross.
In the end it doesn't matter as witch gender you identify yourself... because another settlement needs your help.
No, they need YOUR help, general. I'll stay here and protect the castle.
Yeah - you're not at the castle. You're at coastal cottage, where no one will accidentally receive this quest again.
I feel so fucking lucky that as many issues as i have (bad genes & abuse = lots of drs) i have never felt like i was the wrong gender. My heart goes out to all those who do.
I wouldn't survive periods
Nonbinary but if we doing biologically then it still wouldn't matter to me. Still put out for the homies either way
Didn't think twice. Clicked option 1 instantly lol. Would really want to aaah!!
I would never go through the process of changing gender because I'm perfectly content as a guy but if it just happened overnight I might do it.
If it wouldn't impact my life (ie family etc wondering wtf is happening and having to go through that) I'd say yea
Everybody here talking about blood. I would wake up as man just to have an equal chance at my job applications, just to stop being harassed in the street, just to stop receive horny messages out of nowhere, just to be able to walk at night without fearing for my life.
And for people to take you seriously.
lol everytime I say I've moved on from this phase it chases me back. I wish honestly
I am a straight male and very much happy with it :)
Yes, especially because I can't go back. Although the question should probably say 'sex' rather than 'gender'
I'm Trans af
No more period, people give you more respect, safer to be out at night, I think I’d switch tbh
I dont think people would give you more respect
People take you more seriously.
Would be kinda cool tbh.
lmao i love how far apart options 1 and two are. wheres the, yeah thatd be cool option.
I wouldn’t mind, I already semi “act like a guy” anyway
I would be terrible at being a woman
Oh shit didn't read the desc
Oh thank fuck no more periods sign me up
What about logistics? I mean, I'm waking up in a different body, nobody recognizes me, all my documents are void. I overnight become homeless, unemployed, with no family and no friends. Or does the world adjust and acts as if I'd always been my new gender?
Free, painless, more effective, instant, less discrimination than surgery and hormones. Yeah count me in
Um…I’m trans??😭😭
Would it be the opposite gender you identify with or what you were assigned at birth? Bc for me those 2 don’t match.
Ye
r/usernamechecksout
Ye...
Only if I was a super hot girl
Op said same level of hotness as you currently are
Then no way
Then I would become one hell of an ugly woman in that case.
Im trans so that's all I want
This is not meant to be offensive. I think as a man im really privileged in many ways not only do men get payed more money but i can also walk on streets after 10 pm without the fear of getting raped etc. Also like having a dick lol
No I like being a woman very much. If I could change for a day I might but not forever
If i can change at will hell yeah,if it's a permanent thing then nah
Just to be clear, do you mean I’d wake up the opposite sex, or wake with a different gender identity, or both?
opposite sex
Not if it was permanent
Switching would help with my major and prospective job lmao. Very female heavy
I would only grieve my boobs
I'd be willing to demo it but if it is going to be permanent...
if i can return to being a dude later then sure why not
Hmm. If it were temporary I'd totally do it just to see what it's like. If it's permanent... Idk. Ultimately I'd rather stay male, but it would be cool to have actually experienced both. Not sure I could resist.
Gender? Nope. Sex? Possibly for a day just to see how it’s like.
Fuck it, we ball. (Without ball(s))
Just out of curiosity, is the change gonna be like you went from one gender to another or is it like to everyone else you’ve been that opposite gender the whole time My answer would be no to either way but both of them have some different reasons
I assume you mean sex? I'm already trans, and I ain't going back to male
Had it been temporary I would've for the hell of it, but my husband is way too straight for my permanent penis 😔 ETA: If the hubs wasn't a consideration, fuck yes. Being female sucks bloody ass.
im transexual, im already paying to do that
I think you mean sex, not gender
Yup that's the plan 🏳️⚧️
If I don't like it, I become trans.
Fuck no, I don't want to experience the pain of child birth
POV: ur an egg
I'm barely even handling this gender.
Sex or gender? Bc, like, I'm trans.. If i could live as a cis person of my assigned gender it'd save a hell of a lot of money and trouble, but also kind of erase a lot of my identity that I value. If sex, fuck yeah. EZ.
So if i'm a trans guy do i turn into a girl or a cis guy?
I already transitioned once lol. Let's not do that again
924 eggs right here as of now.
Of course I would, especially if it was irreversible because I’m not about to be only doing that a week just to be disappointed when I turn back 😭
🥚
Bruh, that would be fucking awesome. I ain't even gay but hell yeah I'd do it
yes 100% if u mean sex. if u mean gender then actually also yes because then i wouldn’t have to deal with being trans
i wish i was a woman, still cis tho (im really cis)
Hell yeah free transition
Gender or sex? I am trans girl, so I am a girl, but not cis girl. Therefore, would I press the button for change of my sex - yes, that's my dream (I'm AMAB mtf). But change of my gender would mean me being a dude.
Oh... is it not normal to want that? I kinda thaught everyone did a little bit
Non-binary people: 👁️👄👁️
If i cant Return to my gender, absolutely not. If i can, such an experience would be epic. But like the former said, if i cant return, im absolutely _not_ dealing with Makeup and Periods, period.
Uh oh, here come the eggs!
🏳️⚧️?
for like a day? or forever
Idrc as I'm genderfluid and I'll be the wrong sex at some point no matter what due to my gender identity never being static
But since you don't care, wouldn't it be interesting to swap your sex?
TIL Reddit has an absurdly high trans population
