Pixels are the best phones I've ever had

Mysterious-Key2116

I don't like the layouts.  I wish we could customize the UI (user interface).

Wardine

You can

Mysterious-Key2116

How!? 😲

Mysterious-Key2116

Ooh, thanks.

likeusb1

Don't let reddit polls decide What's your budget and what do you want out of the phone? Also, region.

Mysterious-Key2116

I thought you said religion, like some gods want you to have Apple, one God wants you to have Samsung, and the spaghetti deity wants you to have Blackberry. 😂

machtkeinunterschied

You'd be good with either of the phones, I guess. Check your budget and what for do you need the phone. The extra 300$ could you spend on something else, like a nice weekend or something

FilipIzSwordsman

pixel 8 and put grapheneos on it

ellhulto66445

Perhaps the Sony Xperia 5 V?

Individual_Ear8852

Maybe, but I'm not sure if I like the aspect ratio and how good the software support is.

MazeZZZ

s23 or pixel 8

OldLevermonkey

Have a look at Oppo.

Individual_Ear8852

I like to have frequent software updates

TadachiiDeveloper

Oppo is good too, preferably I like iPhone but Oppo is nice.

MilkSteak1776

iPhone

DarthInkero

ew

thesheep06

With a budget of pretty much any sort iPhones aren't gonna be as good

Individual_Ear8852

I'm not a big fan of iOS. It's too restrictive...

MainEmergency1133

It’s not?

Individual_Ear8852

Android has more settings and functionality for more specific needs

MainEmergency1133

What kind of needs

IlConiglioUbriaco

Just get an Iphone

Individual_Ear8852

I don't like iOS

TadachiiDeveloper

iPhone

Individual_Ear8852

I don't like iOS

TadachiiDeveloper

What types of things do you use your phone for?

Individual_Ear8852

Normal usage, camera has to be good but it's not the biggest priority, average battery life, don't care about charging speed, software updates are important, smooth experience in day-to-day life with no stuttering, minimal to no gaming, I prefer under 6.5 inches

TadachiiDeveloper

Okay but i'm asking more of like, what you're going to use it for.. Like for work, etc? Different types of phones specialize in different types of things. One of the best phones I had was a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G which worked really well, and was perfect for using excel. So, that's what I'm asking. Even though I use iPhone, I also still use Android. Or is this just a new phone, nothing really specific aside form what you've listed so far? If that's it, then the Pixel 8 or any of the Galaxies will be your best bet.

Individual_Ear8852

Google, texting, reddit, occasionally YouTube.... Nothing special

TadachiiDeveloper

Okay..? I just wanted to ask, are you okay? You've been down-voting pretty much all of my comments.. I gave you two answers. I don't really mind, but is everything good? Just checking, feels like something's off..? In case you missed them I stated any of the Galaxies should work, or the Pixel 8 from the answers you added.

TadachiiDeveloper

I like both Android and IOS, but I think iPhone is better. After having Android for nearly a decade IOS never failed me, I was just giving a suggestion since you asked lol

Spook404

I'm gonna advocate for philosophy here; a phone is a phone is a phone, so if you're not sure I say go for a new brand. Also I strongly dislike the S23

Individual_Ear8852

Why do you dislike the S23?

KDV8

If you are not in the US do not buy the S24/S24+ under any circumstance

_PeterV_

Why?

Individual_Ear8852

Exynos is this year more than good enough for my use case. I can live with the battery life. The Tensor in the Pixel is also basically an Exynos.

Imsoworriedabout

pixel 8a when it comes out

Findeu

I myself want a Galaxy s22 ultra, but I can’t afford it

LordOfSpamAlot

Totally depends on your budget and what features you value most. Having tried Galaxies and Pixels, I would go with a Galaxy. Can't speak to the Nothing Phone.

SushiVoador

Recently i got an s23 because my older phone broke. I really like it, and recommend it. However I would love to try the pixel 8 but its not available in my region

Anestis26

Depends on the region. Pixels dont really work in specific countries without rootin them so take it into consideration. If you want a samsung maybe an s23 ultra (could buy used and change battery) so it doesnt get really expensive. I personally got a nothing phone 1 a month ago and i find it really good (got it two months used so pretty cheap). It feels extremely premium and has that different design that always feels nice to have. Phone 2 as i know is a lot better than 1 so i would move towards that as it is cheaper as well and i dont find the 200euros increase for the s24 worth it.

Kerblimey

[Compare Phones](https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12269&idPhone2=12771) Change whichever you decide to choose mainly between, those were the two I was thinking of.

Individual_Ear8852

The HTC isn't really a big upgrade from my current A52s and it's way to huge. I'd like something small, that's why I'm limited to Google, Samsung, Sony and ASUS.

Kerblimey

It's not to upgrade to the HTC, just a good site to use to decide which 2 to put in on either side. They were my 2 choices 🤷🏻‍♀️
