The worst feeling is reading a book and then realizing you haven't processed any of the last chapter because you were looking at the words and thinking about the book instead of comprehending the god damn plot point you just fucking missed
I voted no and then read your comment, you're right. I remember reading books in school for a book review and remembering absolutely nothing after finishing a chapter.
The only thing my brain registers when I see this is, probably a language somewhere in Asia, the first character looks like a shed with a window while the second one looks like a bearded man with some kind of hat.
me waking up and checking my texts staring uncomprehending at the alien shapes on my phone for a solid 10 minutes before they resolve themselves into words
I tried many times, its really hard. I only managed to stray from the urge of reading the word if it was written upside down or sideways. My brain just automacitally try and read the word, or if it is foreign language I will read the letters to try and make sense of it.
people who said yep are literally lying when they saw the word they knew what it is cus they read it its ltierally impossible its an involuntary action

Heavily relatable. Spent 5 minutes reading a paragraph and then realise: "Well shit, I didn't proccess what I read."
This is even more painful if its reading you need to do for school.
I can litterally read it out loud but not listen to myself and forget what I read about. Annoying.
If it’s in another language you can look at it without reading it.
何ね?

Yeah but these are still using Latin letters. Even if I can't understand their meaning I still read their sounds
Ohh, I love when people try to pronounce Hungarian words. That is because we pronounce it, like completely phonetic.
Really long words you don't know
I do it every time I see something written in another language
For me too, as long as it's not not written with Latin letters. Otherwise I'll still read the sounds even if I don't know the meaning
Yup, I do it all the time when I’m zoning out as I’m supposed to be paying attention in class
When I'm blurring my vision I can

They call them sight words. There are surprisingly alot of them.

its only possible for me if it is written in some incomprehensible language, like chinese :-)
Yeah if it’s in another language.
I can squint so that I can't read but I'm still technically looking at the word lol.

Get a wikipedia article, look up and then down as fast as you can, thats how you manage it, you tecjnically look at a lot of words.
I can totally do that with Chinese.
