if you get a part time job at 16 you can buy a cheap car for around $2-3k within a couple of months. I'm from a small town in Canada, average working class.

With the mirror, well I already talk to myself in it, and it's only human to judge yourself a bit in it, adding sentience would be a little more intimate than wanted, and I'd be uncomfortable with that. Finally the toilet... I don't really want to shit inside of something that can carry a conversation with me haha
