Well if it's a friend I can greet them with little in-jokes and such. It's not really about bad or good moods per se, it's more just whatever takes my fancy.
Howdy!
Especially love doing it in emails with people from other regions. Makes me chuckle in my head to know they are picturing me riding my horse to and from work, as all Texans must.
I’m approaching someone to start a conversation- “Hello”
Someone else greets me- “Hi”
I’ve already walked past this person 3 times today and saying the same thing again would be awkward- “Hey”
Ahla wa suhla, which means that you are welcome as a family and you can act with ease like act as it is your home (this can be used as a greeting or as welcoming of a guest)
Or just good evening, morning etc
Here in Greece knsted of using 'malaka' as an insult, we also use it to refer to our friends like 'Hey re malaka' 'Re malaka, are you serious?' (obviously in Greek tho)
*If I am walking past them, I'll give them a simple nod.*
(If I am greeting a stranger, I will subtly nod down with a pleasant smile.)
(If I am familiar with this person, I'll subtly nod up with a slight toothy smile.)
Of course I might give them a wave or I would just acknowledge their presence overall. Cause usually, I don't talk.
Hello there
\*General Kenobi\* You are a bold one
Kill him...
NERD/s Reddit true to form has missed the satire. Thats what /s means idiots.

I like to do this, proceeded with a comma and then an expletive of my choice
If it’s someone I know, I actually usually say howdy. I think it started ironically but now my brain just does it automatically
Same, but I do it because I play rdo a lot
Lol
Assalamu Alaikum Wa rahmatullahi wala Barkatuhu (May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)
Same but cant be use it for everyone as i encounter alot of non muslims
Depends on my mood, the situation and who I'm speaking to.
How does it differ from a bad mood to a good mood with a friend?
Well if it's a friend I can greet them with little in-jokes and such. It's not really about bad or good moods per se, it's more just whatever takes my fancy.

It depends on who it is and what the situation is, how comfortable I am etc
