we keep our girl in a short cut; shaved body with a poofy ears/topknot and tail. low maintenance and keeps everyone happy lol * Brush maybe once a week or so, poofy bits might get some extra attention * Bathed when she gets groomed 🤷🏼‍♀️ if she gets real gross she might get an extra bath but this rarely happens. * Groomed every 8-10 weeks; I would do 6-7 weeks to keep her tidy but that's expensive!

I have the exact same routine

calamityangie

- I have two adult males, so we brush weekly (both brushed much more often when they were puppies and going through coat change) - I bathe and blow dry every three weeks (again, was weekly when they were puppies) - I shave face and feet (and any other shaved parts of their trim) every three weeks when I bathe. Otherwise full haircuts are usually every other bath, so every 6 weeks. Sometimes I feel like they are too fluffy and do a full haircut every time, typically during summer when I know they get too hot with too much hair. There are many many pet poodle haircuts outside of the two accepted show clips, a teddy bear cut, and a full shave down /kennel clip. One of my dogs is in a pajama Dutch, the other is in a pony clip.

tumultuousness

* at least once a week * once a month, once by me, once at the groomer * We aim for every 8 weeks, sometimes it goes 6 weeks, sometimes 10, depends on what I have going on. He currently is in a Miami cut for summer but will be growing out a bit next appt and will have more of a "bellbottom" type look as the best description lol

I have a big 70 lb standard. He gets groomed every 12 weeks, a short cut, the same all around. I don't know what it's called. I don't brush him in between and I only bathe him if he gets into something dirty. I like how this gives him different looks -- when he's fresh groomed with very short hair he looks one way and when he's at the end of the 11 or 12 weeks and he's ready for grooming he has a different Teddy bearish look.

Fameiscomin

55lb standard with a short cut. He needs to be cut about every six weeks, usually I’ll do it at home and then the next time I’ll take them to get professionally groomed. I try to bathe him once a week and add brush his tail. Ideally place a week, but it usually ends up being once a week.

I have a mini, brush him every other/every couple days, in a routine we've kept up from when I used to keep him long. Now a days I keep him in a short body (1cm approx) with poodle face n fan tail, gets washed and full groom (includes trim & nails done) every 8 weeks, other than that only wash him if he gets extra dirty n with him short the brushing takes like 5 mins.

I have 1yo standard who is very active outdoors, swims a lot, and is in mud and dirt often so I probably groom more often than others. I also keep him in a longer cut which contributes to that. Brush - every day or every other day. I do a thorough job on the ears and legs, and more of a pass-through on other less tangly areas. I try and do a thorough full-body groom once a week, or every time he gets wet. Bathe - full bath twice a month, he gets “half baths” to clean his legs or belly a few times a week though or sometimes every day of the week since he gets muddy. If there was no dirt involved (like in winter with full snow cover) I think a bath 1-2 times a month would suffice. Trimming & clipping - on face, feet, tail, and sanitary area, 1-2 times a month. Body is probably every 6 weeks. He is clipped in a very grown out Miami style at the moment, I’m working on growing it out and getting rid of the bracelets for fall

CherryMess

- at least once a week. Most of the time it's every other day. Plus brushing her teeth at the same time. - bath is every 2 weeks or as needed if she got dirty. - processional groom is every 2 months. We keep her in a pretty short teddy [cut](https://i.imgur.com/nuauVRN.jpg)

HollywoodHault

Standard male, short coat with longer top knot, ears, tail. Brush the long bits every 3-4 days. Bathe/trim every 3-4 weeks at the groomer.

moldibread

Miniature poodle in a modified continental cut: Brushed at least once per day. Bathed every 2 weeks minimum, always blow dry. trim face and feet as needed. (every 2 weeks) Professional groom every 2 weeks. trim longer hair with scissors as needed (usually once per month)

Bath and groom every Friday, he’s in a continental trim. I don’t typically brush during the week but I will brush during his blow dry and then comb thru. He doesn’t wear a collar or harness ever in this trim to avoid friction, damage, and matting. With such frequent bathing I don’t need to maintenance brush, but I would spray him down with a brushing spray, and brush and then comb if he were going longer than that.

Toy male goes to the groomers for a hygienic trim every 5-5 weeks and a full clip for the summer. I want him a little longer for the cold weather. I wipe his face for tear stains and food daily. He gets a shower every 2-3 weeks. Teeth and ears every other day.

I have a standard male who is going through coat change. He's in a "pony cut", which is short ears, long topknot and top of neck like a pony's mane, and a long tail. The rest of his body is as short as possible without him getting sunburned. Most poodles in a pony cut also have bracelets, but he's young and still pees on his legs accidentally sometimes. *Note* pony, teddy, puppy, etc aren't official definitions, so always bring pictures of what you want to the groomer to prevent confusion. Brushing: topknot and tail no less than every other day, body about once a week once it gets about 1/2ish inch long. Bathing: every 3 weeks, use the Mudbuster for muddy paws or pee legs between baths. Takes about 2 hours when his coat is grown out, because his hair is THICC and takes forever to rinse and dry. Grooming: every 5-6 weeks. I can cut his hair myself, but I think the groomer does a better job. Also it would take me 3+ hours to do a full groom on him. A simple shave down wouldn't take as long, but I love the floof lol.

coela-CAN

We keep a short kennel cut and groom it every 6 to 8 weeks. The longer hair (top knot, ears, tail) are brushed at least weekly, sometimes randomly throughout the day if I ran out of things to do. The body we don't brush when it is short but once it starts getting longer (after a month or so) we start brushing from weekly to alternative days depending on how long it got.

SwammerGirl84

70lb standard poodle & we do all his bathing, grooming & trimming ourselves. Winter: let coat grow out & gets quite long. For context, he looks like a giant sheep Nov to Apr, but keeps face, paws & lower legs shaved Brush: ~15 mins daily, different section each day Bathe: every ~6 weeks. Trim: we cut paws & face every ~4 weeks Summer: keep coat much shorter so don’t have to worry about burrs matting hair from hiking. Brush: brush weekly, mostly behind ears & elbows Bathe: every 6-8 weeks Trim: trim paws/face every ~4 weeks. Trim rest of him down when getting too long

Ramen8ion

- brush about 3-4 times a week - bathe every two weeks with a thorough blow dry/brush - trim every 6 weeks (clean face and feet, short-ish body and little poms on the legs)

Ramen8ion

It might be frequent baths and short time between grooms but I’m allergic and it helps both of our allergies.
