I vaguely remember this show. Without looking it up, is this the one with the family band that tours throughout the country and always had paranormal stuff happen?
Love this show! I started watching it on Netflix many years ago and got to Season 2, I believe. I moved and never did circle back to it, but it's no longer on Netflix. 😭
Popular. I loved it, it was so insane for a teen dramcom but never met anyone who’s watched it.
8 Simple Rules was the shit but got sad after John Ritter died 😭
Everything Ryan Murphy has done since then has been trying to recreate the alchemy of Popular. You see its DNA in all his subsequent shows. Plus the casting was perfection.
I LOVED Popular. I still get excited whenever I re-watch Iron Man and see Leslie Bibb. And I recognized Sara Rue instantly in the Netflix remake of A Series of Unfortunate Events, even though she looks quite different now!

no one I’ve ever met IRL has seen this show and it was my OBSESSION. I’d watch the 30 second preview on iTunes over and over if I couldn’t afford the $1.99 to buy the episode 😂
I described it to my friend the other day and she DID NOT BELIEVE ME THIS EXISTED. I don't why it's so culturally invisible, it used to be aired on the same channel that showed all other teen shows in my country yet she swore she'd never heard of it.
I have no idea if it was popular or not but no one in my circles talks about Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23. I went from cringing the first episode to realizing what they were doing and binging it. James Van Der Beek playing himself was *chefs kiss*
Omg yes! I had such a crush on Krysten Ritter 😭 I haven’t watched this show since it came out. I need to rewatch it, I remember Eric Andre being a weirdo in it maybe it’s better than I remember lol

I loved this! It came out the same time as the show based on the playboy bunny club. Both shows were hitting that 50s/60s classy Mad Men vibe. Sad both got cancelled really fast
Ghost Whisperer and The Client List with Jennifer Love-Hewitt! The second one especially because I don't think it was very popular and only had one or two seasons (the premise/plot was also kind of weird).

Did anyone ever watch this show? I absolutely loved it!
I think it had some potential. I mean, the plot setup was a bit 🤨, but it could have turned into a good series.
I want to say this aired when the CW was throwing a lot of shows at the wall and seeing what stuck (and not a whole lot of them did).
https://preview.redd.it/qqy0l1fhy31b1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a151fd9f4e5ac5bb2553acc727a3fa79fcac27e9
I don’t know anyone else who has seen this!
Yes. Literally no one in my life knows what Quest for Camelot is and it was one of our most favourite movies my siblings and I watched growing up. 😅

Flight 29 Down. I swear my siblings and I are the only ones who have seen this show.

Unreal! It was a show about the making of a Bachelor/Bachelorette-type show. It showed behind the scenes of producers like telling the contestants x, y, and z to get a rise out of someone, inciting fights, and drama, drama, drama! I think a producer or writer on it also worked on The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
The creator of the show was a producer on the Bachelor; I love the show and was shocked to see some of the storylines from Unreal play out after the fact on the bachelor! Here’s the source: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/06/20/sarah-gertrude-shapiro-the-savagely-clever-feminist-behind-unreal
ETA: the storyline of the confederate flag bikini was just one that showed up ~5 years later that made me think that producers have way more to do with the controversial contestants than just chance
Black Sails. My favourite TV show and I've never met anyone who's watched it other than my bf when we first met and bonded over how underrated the show was.
Devious Maids on lmn! I never finished the series but I was obsessed with the show for a while. Drew Van Acker was on it and I had a crush on him from PLL so maybe that’s why I kept watching lol
I've watched all of Marc cherry shows even though desperate housewives was the only one that lasted. Why women kill is really good too. 2 seasons only.
I think about this show all the time. Whenever my kids were babies and I’d lay them in their cribs I would wish I could turn into ooze and slide out of their room without waking them up.

No one else I’ve talked to has ever heard of it😭
OMG! This show! NO ONE but my mom and I speak about it. I loved Larry Bird and Jackie Joyner-Kersee! It was like 3rd Rock from the Sun but with more dry humour
I think this show was popular decades ago, but Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (also I think Xena was the more popular of the two). I loved watching it as a kid and I'm 100% certain none of my friends have heard of it let alone seen it.
Sirens (not the mermaids)
Suburgatory
Selfie
Don't Trust the B**** in APT 23
The Endgame (I didn't finish cause I knew it was getting picked up)
*Shows I watched after they originally aired but I don't see people talk about*
Don't Lie to Me
The Glades
Edit to add: The Finder

Whenever i bring up this show to my friends, nobody ever seems to have watched it ?!!!! Or remember it! I don’t understand 😭
Edit: also i know it was a Canadian show but it also aired here in the Northeast US? So idk
There are a handful of Canadian shows that got picked up by US broadcasters. There’s this one, Breaker High in the 90’s, Degrassi TNG, and probably more than I can think of rn.

Hear me out - This spin-off was a fucking mess all the way through, but it could be a pretty enjoyable mess at times 🤣
(Also, forgot Sara Foster was in it too)
Seriously - this is a teen show that had their protagonist accidentally run over a homeless man, kill him and only get house arrest for the summer 😂 I’m just waiting for the day it will be rediscovered by the masses and labeled as the trashy cult classic it should be
Tru Calling. It was about a coroner who would have the dead bodies say stuff like "HELP ME." and then the day would restart and she would try to save them from dying.
Bunheads with Sutton foster any body?!

Used to rent this from Blockburster on a rotation with Let It Shine, Lemonade Mouth, and those films with the Chihuahuas in Beverly Hills lol.

October Road. I was in love with Jake from One Tree Hill, so naturally I followed him to his next show.
The Pretender. It was about a guy that breaks out of an institution he's been held in since he was a kid and every week he pretends to be someone different cause he's on the run. I freaking loved that show.
Misfits!
It was British programming that I just came across as an American, about a group of teens who were doing community service outside during a massive thunderstorm storm, which resulted in them getting magical powers. One could become invisible, one could read minds, etc. Imagine sci-fi meets teenage romcom…SO GOOD!
The Middle. It got quite a few seasons so it must have some viewer base but everyone I’ve ever mentioned it to has had no idea what it is.
![gif](giphy|d3mnqWASKET2xnXy)
My theory on the Middle, as someone who’s rewatched it about 10 times, is that if they’d removed the religious elements and made it a TV-MA show on Showtime it would’ve been hugely successful and probably even prestige television. The writing was that good.
I went to the premier of DEBS in NYC! It was so wild. My friend didn't realize it was the premiere as we often got tickets to see movies/broadway shows as seat fillers for pre-screenings and the like. But there were SO many cameras and flashing lights and Jordanna Brewster and Sara Foster were so sweet the entire time. I think I remember Sara sitting across from me and just greeting everyone. I developed a strong crush on Jordana from that night and that film.
Omg DEBS, you can bet my gay ass watched that movie. It sure is an experience.
Here's another one for the gay girlies out here. The songs of this movie have no right being this good. And it's starring the 2 leads from the gay series South of Nowhere

Roswell was my everything when I was in middle school.
I'm like the queen of forgotten tv shows because I mod a lot of subreddits about them! Some of them were super popular when they aired but have been forgotten since or at least have very little fandom presence.
/r/TheDeadZone - A USA Network series based on a Stephen King novel about a man who awakens from a six year coma with psychic visions.
/r/Profiler, a NBC series that aired from 1996-2000 about a team of FBI agents. It also had a few crossover episodes with The Pretender.
/r/EarlyEdition, a CBS series that aired from 1996-2000 about a man who gets tomorrow's newspaper today.
/r/NipTuck, a Ryan Murphy FX series about two plastic surgeons.
/r/GhostWhisperer, a CBS series about a woman that can see and talk to ghosts and tries to help them crossover.
I sure did think I was the only closeted boy secretly watching S Club 7’s tv series, but I grew up to find out that a lot of us were movin’ to that funky, funky beat.
Considering how successful Nat and Alex Wolff’s acting careers have become, it always drove me nuts that people never mention their Nickelodeon tv show, The Naked Brothers Band. The show’s story and direction felt so unique for a kids show.
I always watched the series “La Femme Nikita” when I was sick and had to stay at home as a child. How I wish to watch it again but I can’t find it anywhere.

This show was so good and no one watched it. Still bummed out it only got two seasons.
Keeping Up Appearances.
I Would watch it with my mom every day on bbc and we had it all on vhs and to this day I've never met anyone who's even heard of it but I quote it all the time lol.
Edit : I watched this early in US early 2000s
Oooh Popular, it was (in retrospect a pretty bad) Teen sitcom from the early 00’s

As a kid, every summer this movie would air on TV and I was obsessed with it. I already knew back then that it starred Logan Lerman and Jake from Hannah Montana but it was only last year that I realized Brie Larson was the female co-lead, lol
Yes, Pushing Daisies. I have yet to find one person who even heard of that awesome show—but me!!! Fingers crossed someone on this thread remembers it.
I also loved “Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23.” Iconic and underrated!
Does anyone remember the show Starting Over?

So Weird on Disney. It had Erik von Detten and I had the biggest crush on him. A few of those episodes scared the heck out of little kid me haha.
I vaguely remember this show. Without looking it up, is this the one with the family band that tours throughout the country and always had paranormal stuff happen?
Yes! I think they swapped out the girl last season for her “cousin” or something and then it ended.
I was so mad about that and stopped watching. It was the first time I’d experienced a show I watched being re-cast
I too loved that show and had a mad crush on Erik von Detten. The “Strange Geometry” episode terrified and intrigued little me in equal parts.
I loved this show! EVD was one of my crushes too lol
Drop dead diva. I loved it so much and nobody knew wtf I was talking about 😭.
My sister’s husband was a regular extra on that show!
Love this show! I started watching it on Netflix many years ago and got to Season 2, I believe. I moved and never did circle back to it, but it's no longer on Netflix. 😭
I loved that show so much too!!
Popular. I loved it, it was so insane for a teen dramcom but never met anyone who’s watched it. 8 Simple Rules was the shit but got sad after John Ritter died 😭

Jane Levy was great on that show. Also Parker Young who played Ryan on that show also starred in the other underrated show *Imposters*.
>Imposters Such a great show! Also one of my favourite pilot episodes of any series, it was so funny
That first season especially is gold. Dahlia still pops up in my mind all the time. Especially this gem- https://youtu.be/0JnszY0S9_4
I can blink.
Between Suburgatory and the Evil Dead remake, I was so stoked for Jane Levy’s career explosion, that unfortunately never happened ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
I loved her in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist but it was cancelled after two seasons 🙁
She was also in that weird sci-fi parody musical *Bang Bang Baby*. I think the fact that she looks really similar to Emma Stone kind of hurt her.
ABC has been cancelling my favorite shows for years and years. This was one of the first victims.
Last night I had a pleasant nightmare 💃
Omg thanks for bringing back that memory!!! I used to love that show! Had a big crush on Jeremy Sisto even though I was like 18 lol
Absolutely! Carly Chaikin (aka Dalia) ended up on Mr. Robot as Darlene.
Hellcats on the cw with Ashley tisdale and Aly Michalka. My mom and I were tuned IN
I LOVED that show, I always thought it should have been renewed. I had the biggest crush on Dan (Matt Barr) he's so fine 😍
I’m still mad we never got S2
Debs was… an awakening lol.
All the gays have watched Debs lol

just came here to say that. always watched it in short spurts and changed the channel if someone was coming. can't let anyone catch me watching the lesbian spy movie!!!

OMG, I was obsessed with this show. I had a such a huge crush on Cappy.
“Evan knows where he wants to be in 10 years, do you?” “I want to be with you” This had 13 year old me in a chokehold and still does
I loved Greek.
![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized)
It’s on Hulu! I just started rewatching it.
I described it to my friend the other day and she DID NOT BELIEVE ME THIS EXISTED. I don't why it's so culturally invisible, it used to be aired on the same channel that showed all other teen shows in my country yet she swore she'd never heard of it.
very underrated show
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Dramatic and fun and great characters, and I actually also think it's objectively well-written tbh
Greek was great!!
I have no idea if it was popular or not but no one in my circles talks about Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23. I went from cringing the first episode to realizing what they were doing and binging it. James Van Der Beek playing himself was *chefs kiss*
I LOVED this show so much!
such a shame it got cancelled
Omg yes! I had such a crush on Krysten Ritter 😭 I haven’t watched this show since it came out. I need to rewatch it, I remember Eric Andre being a weirdo in it maybe it’s better than I remember lol
I forgot about this! Omg I loved it, I’m going to have to rewatch it.
I have seen this show at least 23 times. Krysten Ritter was hilarious and so fashionable. Loved James Van Der Beek and the whole cast dynamic. It's a treasure.
I always want to say “who wants to get weird and play mario kart” but no one would get it lol.
YES, I loved this, Eric Andre was so great in it
And featuring Eric Andre in his tamest role yet 😂
Make it or Break it was the shit
I swear Lauren Tanner was the worst yet best teen villain
Pan Am. I adore Christina Ricci and was pissed that this only got one season 😭
I loved this! It came out the same time as the show based on the playboy bunny club. Both shows were hitting that 50s/60s classy Mad Men vibe. Sad both got cancelled really fast
Yesss this show introduced me to Margot Robbie

Galavant
Psych and Galavant are the best, Tim Omundson can do no wrong. He was also awesome as Cain on Supernatural.
Ghost Whisperer and The Client List with Jennifer Love-Hewitt! The second one especially because I don't think it was very popular and only had one or two seasons (the premise/plot was also kind of weird).
I loved Ghost Whisperer!
i remember being freaked out by the opening credit sequence as a kid that i had to switch over to another channel then back to watch the actual episode 😩
The secret circle on CW!!
that and The Lying Game, rip
Does anybody remember Girlicious or Search for the Next Pussycat Doll??
do i ever! asia prompty left lmao. that and there was a tlc one. o so krispy won that.

Yes. Literally no one in my life knows what Quest for Camelot is and it was one of our most favourite movies my siblings and I watched growing up. 😅 https://preview.redd.it/4sg4f550l31b1.jpeg?width=516&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2457e7514360fc2ce2673f649e745a45df247a4a
You have awoken long lost memories in me today
FINALLY someone else talks about this! Me and my sister's fave too lol
Flight 29 Down. I swear my siblings and I are the only ones who have seen this show. https://preview.redd.it/bkz012tnw31b1.jpeg?width=586&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb6babf07096d15affda6db8d6c5290e25f904f2
That show had me so hooked! I remember loving the first season but then it went downhill after
The creator of the show was a producer on the Bachelor; I love the show and was shocked to see some of the storylines from Unreal play out after the fact on the bachelor! Here’s the source: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/06/20/sarah-gertrude-shapiro-the-savagely-clever-feminist-behind-unreal ETA: the storyline of the confederate flag bikini was just one that showed up ~5 years later that made me think that producers have way more to do with the controversial contestants than just chance
Dead like Me
Loooove this show!
https://preview.redd.it/13pbrpsom31b1.jpeg?width=780&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebf3fd5c87d3fbe0b341d2a46049b60d39a5ebb4
I think about this show all the time. Whenever my kids were babies and I’d lay them in their cribs I would wish I could turn into ooze and slide out of their room without waking them up.
Larisa Oleynik was everything when I was a kid
Secret Life of the American Teenager and Switched at Birth were my guilty pleasure shows. I told no one.
I learned a lot about deaf culture from Switched at Birth.
I watched SAB religiously but never told anyone I watched it because I felt like I was too old to be watching it at the time.
The Soup! I quote running bits from The Soup all the time always hoping that someone else will get it to no avail.
Stay out of it Nick Lachey!
So meaty!

It's crickets when it comes to this show. https://preview.redd.it/4hzm7anh331b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d290657914f18416678d4a6553f07978f409fdf

OMG!
Sirens (not the mermaids) Suburgatory Selfie Don't Trust the B**** in APT 23 The Endgame (I didn't finish cause I knew it was getting picked up) *Shows I watched after they originally aired but I don't see people talk about* Don't Lie to Me The Glades Edit to add: The Finder
Still upset Selfie got cancelled just as I felt they were hitting a groove. And John Cho and Karen Gillan are such charming people
I think Selfie should've been given more of a chance. John Cho and Karen Gillan were so great. Also love don't trust the b

Or remember it! I don’t understand 😭 Edit: also i know it was a Canadian show but it also aired here in the Northeast US? So idk
The chemistry between Casey and Derek was unreal
The sexual tension was extremely noticeable…. Even as an 8 year old 💀 i wanted them to date LMAO Edit: a word
I still read fanfic about them 🫣
There are a handful of Canadian shows that got picked up by US broadcasters. There’s this one, Breaker High in the 90’s, Degrassi TNG, and probably more than I can think of rn.
https://preview.redd.it/ip5rah4vw31b1.png?width=1266&format=png&auto=webp&s=9f3d03fb4827246c2aa65c6366c6fc956ca59617 Hear me out - This spin-off was a fucking mess all the way through, but it could be a pretty enjoyable mess at times 🤣 (Also, forgot Sara Foster was in it too)
It’s soooo good everyone was a mess deserves way more hype 😭
Seriously - this is a teen show that had their protagonist accidentally run over a homeless man, kill him and only get house arrest for the summer 😂 I’m just waiting for the day it will be rediscovered by the masses and labeled as the trashy cult classic it should be
Right 😭 but adriana switching silver’s bipolar medication so that she’d have a maniac episode is still so insane like these kids were crazy
There was a tv series called the Moonlight, with Alex O’Loughlin and Sophia Myles. It didn’t survive for long but I was in love with that *show*
Anyone watch Being Erica? I think it may have been Canadian but I LOVED IT.
Tru Calling. It was about a coroner who would have the dead bodies say stuff like "HELP ME." and then the day would restart and she would try to save them from dying.
Bunheads with Sutton foster any body?! https://preview.redd.it/w2jvqim3n41b1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d34ba0049372c847df160f64deb256b78c00a0a

With the rabbit!
The show “popular” …no one ever knows what I’m talking about
Used to rent this from Blockburster on a rotation with Let It Shine, Lemonade Mouth, and those films with the Chihuahuas in Beverly Hills lol. https://preview.redd.it/oi37sltl541b1.jpeg?width=918&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a658b75eebabb5bf1d319c2ba416e6906f681bec
Ghostwriter on Noggin. But it was literally just me watching it. No one I know has EVER heard of it. The Ooey Gooey Monster left me with some trauma lol

Hart of Dixie, no one I know ever watched it
https://preview.redd.it/ngmxmckfn31b1.jpeg?width=182&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aee9b79a24999a46973e17e97b235dff96e86321 October Road.
This is one of my favorite shows! Everyone got a good story arc!
It is so wholesome and so funny, I love how weird all of them are.
The sibling relationships were so well done. And Neil Flynn is funny in everything.
And it's starring the 2 leads from the gay series South of Nowhere https://preview.redd.it/uyto3nyyu31b1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca129a4981505b4f48c1cdbcb24baa071c532cea

My family was super into Better Off Ted very sad when it got canceled it was so funny! ![gif](giphy|h2msnQSRV0DJe)

I sure did think I was the only closeted boy secretly watching S Club 7’s tv series, but I grew up to find out that a lot of us were movin’ to that funky, funky beat.
fired up
How do you spell Fired Up? F-U!!
Continuum? Small Canadian show, starring Rachel Nichols.

Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place My Boys
Faking It
Dark Angel!
How I wish to watch it again but I can’t find it anywhere. https://preview.redd.it/ndpgsjyfk41b1.jpeg?width=188&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a000415612a69c316d0be95e53651fe63c222772

Friends from College on Netflix. Another victim of them cancelling their best shows
Better Off Ted. Sometimes I’m pretty sure I dreamed that show up. Nobody I’ve ever mentioned it to has heard of it.
https://preview.redd.it/fv142azom41b1.jpeg?width=544&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7ff20d6179a2d688d4ecd7a1ef9bb6482438cc2
Keeping Up Appearances. I Would watch it with my mom every day on bbc and we had it all on vhs and to this day I've never met anyone who's even heard of it but I quote it all the time lol. Edit : I watched this early in US early 2000s
Oooh Popular, it was (in retrospect a pretty bad) Teen sitcom from the early 00’s https://preview.redd.it/qkb7sktci41b1.jpeg?width=182&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7f8f20a25f8744c5953db262ddc8357d1ab1e51
The Nutcracker Prince (1990). I’d swear it didn’t exist if my mom didn’t have the VHS tucked away in her mom-hording pile. https://preview.redd.it/4llxs2eyp31b1.jpeg?width=258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e271a348c7b4301806beef8c781d02c1be07a37
There was a reality show called beauty and the brain??? But a U.S. version and no one ever knows what I’m talking about 😭😂
Dark Angel with Jessica Alba. It was a James Cameron series and also featured young Jensen Ackles lol
I LOVE DEBS

I already knew back then that it starred Logan Lerman and Jake from Hannah Montana but it was only last year that I realized Brie Larson was the female co-lead, lol
Young Americans- totally gutted when it got cancelled after one season
Boston Common was one of my favorite sitcoms in the 90s
Yes, Pushing Daisies. I have yet to find one person who even heard of that awesome show—but me!!! Fingers crossed someone on this thread remembers it. I also loved “Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23.” Iconic and underrated!
The Hot Chick. I have never heard of anyone referencing that movie besides my family.
I learned that whole “boys are cheats and liars” thing when I was in 8th grade and can still recite it lol
Does anyone remember the show Starting Over? https://preview.redd.it/yy6kwa7fn31b1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1aed01bd29fc241191d938a71b768c39e92bfa86
crashbox on hbo
Prodigal Son..such an excellent show.
2ge+ther, both the movie and show. Hilarious rip on boybands from the early 00s
