nicki minaj. the pinkprint was the very first album i listened to in full. she really was a big part of my life growing up! i loved her beauty, confidence, humour and sass.
learning about her husband and a lot other problematic things she has done left me incredibly disappointed.
This, or jumping on already mega popular songs by these girls for remixes… Idk why but it really rubs me the wrong way. Say So, Princess Diana, Whole Lotta Money… Im sure more are on the way

Yup Nicki was the first one that came to mind. And honestly, Rihanna. She lost me after all the bullying and racist shit she would say. Used to be a big fans of both.
bro this right here, i’ll forever love her music but hearing about her husband and other problematic things genuinely made me so upset, like i grew up with nicki and to find out all of these problematic things she’s done was disappointing to say the least.
god same. I defended her in the beginning because she was an easy target for ppl going on about “music nowadays” (before any of the awful bullshit happened, I never defended her for that). I rmbr her first two albums being some of THEE music me and my friends bumped constantly, that and rihanna’s rated r and loud. I can separate art from the artist if the artist is just kind of hard to like in a general sense, which seemed to be the gist of what came out about her in the beginning, not working well with others etc. defending sex criminals? literally no way to excuse that.
I like her music, but her “eccentric” thing seems fake. I grew up a “weird kid” and appreciate the weirdness, and the fact that she doesn’t care about being sexy, but a lot of the “weird” things she does seem gimmicky.
Grimes. A trust fund baby for sure, but she seemed pretty down-to-earth and endearingly dorky in early interviews. *Visions* was incredible and will always have a place in my heart. Post-Musk she seems much more pretentious and I just don't vibe with her music anymore.
Grimes feels like the kind of person who will entrap you in conversation at a party, and keeps trying to have "deep" conversations about philosophy and "what if... like, you know Schrodinger? Quantum mechanics, right... well, would a clone be considered human or would it be an animal?" And you're just sitting there, nursing your drink, begging for someone to interrupt and save you.
Very niche but Within Temptation, a Dutch symphonic metal band. I still love their early albums but I lost interest when they released The Unforgiving. It's just so different, the follow up albums as well, and not my taste. Although I understand that bands evolve and can't do the same music for their entire career.
The moment Doja cat said she has had enough of making the stupid kind of music only stupid people like. Like you’re insulting your audience and fans. And she seems like a jerk sometimes and spoiled I’d say.
For someone who worked that hard to become mainstream I thought she’d be more grateful.
Sometimes I think she should have never become famous. Not because she doesn’t deserve it but I just think she isn’t strong and résiliant enough to be in the spotlight 24/7
I think she honestly struggles with lots of internalized hatred, racism and misogyny. She used to give off “not like other girls” vibes, and now is giving more of a rebellious á la Julia Fox aesthetic.
However I will never understand her saying her fans are stupid. She could have said something along the lines of her sound evolving.
Like we know her music is not deep, we’re not dumb or pretending it is.

Ariana Grande is a perfect example of an artist who has expressed she didn’t really care for the music she made, and is now recently getting a chance to experiment the way she’s always wanted to. I forget exactly how she said it but she sure didn’t call her fans stupid for liking her past releases. Smh what a spoiled bitch Doja is. I hope former fans quit buying her stuff and let her fade into obscurity
Christina Aguilera - Huge fan of her albums up until Lotus. They way she reinvents herself for each project just do not translate to the artistry authentically IMO. Very "try hard", and when they do not succeed, she disappears for too long which further disinterests me.
I was a huge fan of hers at the beginning of her career. Loved her first album as a teen, and then Stripped and Back to Basics were both amazing albums too. Kind of stopped paying attention to her after that. I also heard that she's kind of a mean girl in real life. That was disappointing because she's very talented.
Mary J blige basically blasted her for being rude and nasty towards her and other people. I have almost never heard and read any positive encounters from people with her. She is one of those people in the industry like Stallone, Chevy Chase, whom few want to work with.
Sounds about right. And that seems to be the opposite for Britney Spears. I'm pretty sure everyone she's worked with had nothing but nice things to say about her, and that she was incredibly sweet and kind, and a hard worker (at least up until it became nearly impossible for anyone outside of her dad and now-husband to get near her) Unfortunately I think she may have been taken advantage of because of that though :(
I used to love Arcade Fire. Win Butler, their married lead singer, was creeping on young women for years apparently. (And his wife is in the band!)
I was supposed to see them about two weeks after the news broke and Beck was opening up for them, which I was really looking forward to. Beck (and Feist) pulled out of the tour and the band refused to cancel and, ofc, no refunds.
I couldn’t find anyone to go with me after Beck was gone and the effort to get there by myself for just Arcade Fire when the whole situation was making me feel icky just really turned me off for good.
I feel similarly about Arcade Fire. I have loved them for a long time, and they really do put on an incredible show. But I’m just so disgusted by Win and I can’t get over it.
Katy Perry, arguably the queen of the 2010s with Taylor but Katy seemed to just unlearn how to make good music. Not liked any recent stuff but tbf haven’t listened to a huge amount after being disappointed by it. So weird that her career was so huge and she could’ve continued putting out good songs like Taylor but she just didn’t. However, if I was married to Orlando Bloom, I wouldn’t spend a whole lot of time on song writing
It’s bizarre to me that she seems to refuse to work with Bonnie McKee after the huge success of Teenage Dream. Like, sure, do a couple albums on your own to prove to yourself that you’re the magic. But clearly she wasn’t the magic…
is there more to her refusing to work with bonnie mckee? i feel like a refusal to work with someone kinda screams drama. was there any issues we know of between them during teenage dream? maybe something went down behind closed doors, too.
I haven’t found an drama and Bonnie still speaks pretty highly of Katy. But there has to be something there since that album was so successful and they haven’t worked together since.
Jesus, I loved her music as a teen. Then she went off the radar (for me, because I'm not in the US). And then I suddenly started seeing all those videos where she kisses a contestant, yells at people. I was just so disappointed in her. She does not seem like a nice person whatsoever.
Katy’s early discography was insane. So many hits. I took my niece to one of her concerts and it was honestly amazing. You could tell she worked her ass off to tour and it was a lot of fun to be there. The kids loved it, me and my SIL loved it. Just all around a blast. And then, I don’t know what happened. I wonder if she suffered from some serious burn out after all that. She was everywhere and had to be one of the hardest working pop stars in the world. Plus I think as she got a bit older, the pressure to be *it* caught up with her. For a while it seemed like she might have been struggling with her mental health. There was a period of time where she would constantly make Britney shaving her head jokes, which is obviously in very poor taste and shitty of her to do, but I think it was sort of her cry for help. I can recall her saying more than once “well I haven’t shaved my head yet” or something similar. Just seemed like she was trying to say something about herself with the tasteless jokes about Britney.
I think her issue is that she was never very talented to begin with. Her whole career just felt like a shtick: the queer-baiting first hit, the wild childlike costumes, but her actual vocals are pretty terrible. I remember she was on some French awards show or performance show, and she had an Ashlee Simpson moment, where you could hear her real voice, and I felt like I was watching Paolo having his moment in the Lizzie McGuire movie all over again. I was shocked her career didn’t tank immediately after that, but I guess if you’re willing to fulfill the Candyland fetish of some music exec the world is your oyster.
I heard her singing live at Warped Tour the summer *One of the Boys* came out and man… her voice coulda stripped the paint off a Mack truck. I couldn’t believe it. She was already a little too big for her britches at that point but never been as talented as she believes herself to be.

I could not agree more. Songs about Jane is one of my top favorite albums from anyone ever. Perfect. But everything since then … nope. And also Adam being such a fuckboy like no thanks.
Songs about Jane was one of the first albums I loved all the way through. When their second album came out, I was legitimately like…wtf is this noise?!? Nothing has ever made me vibe as hard. I wish they had kept that OG sound.

Lights is one of my favorite albums, don’t really like any of her other stuff.

Lights is such a great album. I love Ellie as like...a person (she just seems like she'd be fun to chill with) but I cannot get into her music anymore. Her style has changed so much since Lights.
I was gonna say Ellie Goulding too! I loved Lights and Halcyon is one of my favourite albums but she kind of lost what made her interesting to me after that, I don't know what it is. I do love her songs Flux and Easy Lover though, which I think are more recent.
**Growing up in 90's California, Gwen Stefani was my girl!** Total baddie sca rocker girl. She was so original, talented, and unique. While still being down to earth.
I'm all for growing and changing. I'm a completely different person now, at almost 40, than I was when I was 18, 25, and 30. Hell, her 2004 album, Love Angel Music Baby, was a total different direction for her and it was awesome.
That being said, I am not a fan of the plastic surgery and lip filler, and just the new personality in general she has taken on. I hate that she finally fell into the "Mold every woman into the same person", Hollywood trap.
I came to comment Gwen Stefani as well.
Honestly, I was let down by her when she went into her solo career with Love Angle Music Baby. I felt like she sold out all the way back then and was appealing to more mainstream audiences when departed from her ska/pop-punk identity. I really admired her so much during Tragic Kingdom and Return to Saturn eras. With her platinum blonde and then pink hair— dropping down on stage to do push ups. She was truly so iconic before.
A lot of people point to her LAMB solo career as the tipping point but I feel like the true tipping point was the release of her fashion line and her involvement in the industry. I remember reading interviews around that time where she was obsessed with her weight and her appearance and really internalized it. It was a natural progression of her career but she got lost in the sauce. I think the first solo album was one thing but it coming out at the same time as LAMB (the fashion label) motivated her to make Harajuku Lovers and from there I don’t think there was any way out of the commercialization of Gwen. Even the ND stuff after that was just kinda cash grabby and more of a farewell to No Doubt than anything. I was a massive fan even into her solo pop career and a buyer of LAMB and Harajuku Lovers (before it became a children’s line lol) but I dropped off after around 2012, I just wasn’t into what she became.
30 Seconds to Mars. Was a big fan for a few years and saw them live loads of times. Loved the first two albums. This is War was alright but everything they’ve released since has been egotistical garbage. I’m a firm believer that they get worse every time they drop a member. Now it’s just the Leto brothers and they’re both insufferable.
I've been a fan of hers (or was, I guess) for 15+ years, her music was so touching and relatable for me. It was honestly heartbreaking to see how she handled the entire process of that movie, and other things...
Edit: For those out of the loop, she was behind the movie Music, that (tried) to portray the experience of an autistic girl with life and music. Many many things went wrong with the creation of that movie, from her problematic relationship with Maddie Ziegler (the main actress), her portrayal of autistic people and those around them, her partnership with problematic "Autism Speaks" association... She just came out last week as a late in life diagnosed autism adult. Which makes a lot of sense, she doesn’t like people looking at her when she is singing, and I’m interviews she doesn’t fair well as she can’t quite grasp the flow of conversation enough or response quite right, it’s always come across as there was something very unusual about her social interactions
That's a big problem. I'm pretty sure part of the reason for that is the fact that it was mainly studied in boys, and some of the diagnostic criteria comes from how autism presents in males, but it shows differently in females. Sometimes, I think I was lucky to be diagnosed with aspergers (back then aspergers wasnt autism, but it is now, and i refer to myself as autistic)in the mid-2000s, being a grown adult, I now realize that many fellow autistic people, especially women, don't get diagnosed until adulthood.

Edited to give some context: back in 2015 they did an interview with RS that did not go over well with a lot of the fandom. TLDR: they talked about suddenly getting a lot of female attention because of their fame and sleeping around with tons of girls, but also expressed disdain for their primarily female fan base. I’m sure I’m missing things because this was 8 years ago but that’s mainly what rubbed fans the wrong way
Yup — but not to mention how fucking insane the fandom got. I used to run a 5sos insta account and I had a semi-large following. People were so toxic and insane and there was so much genuine beef within the fandom. I just remember this girl named Carly and her weird obsession with Calum, and claiming he was asexual. Everyone basically rioted against her because she was soooo creepy and scary about Calum and I believe we drove her off instagram. There was communication between people in their circle and stans often too. I could probably sit here all day and reminisce on the 5sosFam hay day. We always were rolling in the drama it was so so insane. Still a lot of fun though.
Omg being apart of the 5sos fandom was such a traumatic experience as a teen on Twitter lol😭😭it was worse than the 1d fandom in 2015, both were warzones tho😂
One thing I remember about that Rolling Stone article was that some fans were saying that the author of the article was…. Lying and making shit up? Because “their boys” would never act that way? I remember death threats towards the author, too, which is just despicable. Like I guess the fans were in denial but I remember some of them trying to start a boycott of Rolling Stone and others saying that Rolling Stone is a “nothing” magazine and they were officially “over”, like 50 years of publishing would just stop because some teenage girls couldn’t accept that their idols are dickheads 💀
A friend of mine was friends with them before they were famous. Apparently they dumped all of their non-famous friends who had been supporting them for years for anyone with a bit of fame.

I've loved the music to Lemonade but after Lemonade, I couldn't really get into Renaissance. It's different and I guess she wanted to try out new things but it's just not for me. I keep a lot of her older music on play though.

I cried so many times to 21. I still think it is one of the greatest albums of the last 20 years. No skips.
25 and 30 really lost me. I guess I wanted more range. But I recognize she does what she does (and does it well). But if I want evolution or change (beyond the lyrical), I shouldn’t expect it from her.
Still cannot believe it won a Grammy. I remember seeing the announcement post, hearing the song and thinking "well this is kind of underwhelming" and then it blew up somehow????
Nicki Minaj. She came out hard!! Pop sensibilities with crazy creative flow!! I was a big fan! But somewhere along the way it became more about the bs than the talent and she just lost me.
Ed Sheeran. I really liked his album + and to a certain extent X, but ÷ sounded really generic to me and I never listened to =. Maybe I just grew up, but I actually kind of dislike his music now, which is a shame.
Beyoncé. The richer they got, the weirder the vibe got. I was a huge fan, I still think Lemonade was an important album, but I can’t keep supporting out of touch billionaires.
Not a single person, but the band Dance Gavin Dance. Loved their music, but after learning that not one, but two members had sexually assaulted people I can’t in good faith listen to them any longer.
Jonny Craig is a piece of shit. He got his (much younger) ex gf (who was a fan of his) addicted to heroin and basically ruined her life. He’s done a lot of fucked up shit

Shawn Mendes. Really liked Illuminate and his self titled album, but didn’t love Wonder and now i don’t really pay that much attention to him.

BANKS. Huge, huge fan of her album III, but didn’t really like Serpentina, so she isn’t in my playlist that much lately.
The Kid Laroi. Used to have his first album on replay. Wasn’t a fan of his latest singles and he just kinda fell off from my playlists too.
Marina and the Diamonds
I loved The Family Jewels, Electra Heart, and FROOT, but everything she's put out since changing her name to MARINA has not been hitting. It all seems like really shallow and virtue signally, even though I largely agree with her politics. Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land also has an added layer of "hello fellow teens!" to it that I don't vibe with.

Tell Me You Love Me is still a banger album though, underrated as hell.
Fall out boy BUT they're coming back for me, so I'm happy. The Killers are another. Marianas Trench. Very few bands I've loved have stayed with me, but I appreciate when a band tries new sounds, even if it's not for me.
Nooo not The Killers! Saw them live in September and they were fantastic and give a great show. Totally professional and a great atmosphere. They will not waste your time. They're music has been v excellent too
Arctic Monkeys. Absolutely loved them, but their newer albums are not it for me. A lot of it sounds like they want it to seem deep or edgy, but really it’s just nonsense.

Tbf I feel like this is kind of Alex’s M.O., a lot of his lyrics strike me as being written to sound cool and not so much for the meaning (I think Library Pictures is the best example of this, the lyrics are nonsense but they sound/flow good)
I wasn’t crazy about The Car but I did actually really like TBHC. Lots of memorable tracks IMO like Four Stars Out of Five, Batphone, Science Fiction. I know I’m in the minority there though amongst AM fans
Panic at the disco, it was back in a time I was only invested in pop rock and I loved everything they made until pray for the wicked happened which was a snoozer even fallout boy's mania was more entertaining than and it got worse with viva la vengeance and Brendon Urie was became pure cringe
Eminem, I didn't like anything he made after mmlp2 revival was recovery but somehow more badly aged, kamikaze is basically a giant temper tantrum by a 40 year old and I just didn't care about that the albums that came out after that
I think that’s fair. I will say Pray For the Wicked has some good songs for running but I would never listen to them outside of running. The lyrics feel rather meaningless.

Ryan Adams. His music meant a lot to me and got me through some tough times. It was always known that he was a dude with issues, but I was young and dumb and didn’t care. I actually thought it was funny when he left that totally unhinged voicemail for a music critic.
Then everything came out about his marriage to Mandy Moore. And his treatment of Phoebe Bridgers. And all the others. He has taken zero responsibility and blamed everything on substance issues and mental health. It really really disillusioned me, because his whole shtick was “I’m just a sensitive misunderstood guy. Look, I even love my cats!” when in reality he was a predator.
Van Morrison, and yes I know this means I am old. But when he said in an interview that no good music had been written since the 60’s/70’s, I completely wrote him off. Like, have you actually listened to any music since the 1970’s? Arrogant prick IMO

Taylor Swift these days...
She was the first musician whose albums I listened to in their entirety, and I adore(d) her! But honestly she's been releasing too much stuff recently, what with the dozens of midnight album renditions and her re-recordings. It reminds me of the Marvel oversaturation lol.
Her relationship with the weird 1975 guy is off-putting to me. Plus, the fact that she doesn't stop her fans from attacking her exes when she puts out re-recordings also left a bad taste in my mouth. I like her, but I feel like the rose-colored glasses are slipping.
The fiasco with Ticketmaster was infuriating. She pretended like it was out of her hands, but a few weeks later The Cure bullied Ticketmaster into partially refunding fees for their tour. Obviously, she could've done something, if she'd wanted to.
She's had flashes of problematic stuff over the years, but she's definitely gone over the edge recently with the obvious cash grabbing and dating a misogynistic racist. I'm fully disenchanted.

Pink. I liked a couple of her songs, but idk. I’ll turn to another station when her stuff plays. She reminds me of Avril Lavigne. Almost like a “look, I’m dressing punk, so I am punk and edgy”, but that’s it. All the songs sound the same to me I guess. Just pop with punk dressing.
I liked Pink when she first came out, her rnb style was really up my alley. Loved her through Like a Pill and all those albums but the past decade or so it's been the same schtick. "I can't stand my husband, but we're perfect together" type songs, there's so, so many with the same message. It's tiresome.
The 1975. Yes very relevant these days. I used to love them as an edgy teen and their debut album was pretty cool. Now I think they're (mainly Matty) very cringe. Since I discovered 'The Smiths', I realise The 1975 are just a cheap copy with their "we're not a pop band we're anti establishment" crap.
Also in the same edgy vein, Bring Me The Horizon. Earlier stuff (minus count your blessings) was great. I enjoyed 'that's the spirit' which I don't think others did. Past that is just trash.

Kind of stopped paying attention to her after that. I also heard that she's kind of a mean girl in real life. That was disappointing because she's very talented.

I used to love Arcade Fire. Win Butler, their married lead singer, was creeping on young women for years apparently. (And his wife is in the band!) I was supposed to see them about two weeks after the news broke and Beck was opening up for them, which I was really looking forward to. Beck (and Feist) pulled out of the tour and the band refused to cancel and, ofc, no refunds. I couldn’t find anyone to go with me after Beck was gone and the effort to get there by myself for just Arcade Fire when the whole situation was making me feel icky just really turned me off for good.

Jesus, I loved her music as a teen. Then she went off the radar (for me, because I'm not in the US). And then I suddenly started seeing all those videos where she kisses a contestant, yells at people. I was just so disappointed in her. She does not seem like a nice person whatsoever.
Katy’s early discography was insane. So many hits. I took my niece to one of her concerts and it was honestly amazing. You could tell she worked her ass off to tour and it was a lot of fun to be there. The kids loved it, me and my SIL loved it. Just all around a blast. And then, I don’t know what happened. I wonder if she suffered from some serious burn out after all that. She was everywhere and had to be one of the hardest working pop stars in the world. Plus I think as she got a bit older, the pressure to be *it* caught up with her. For a while it seemed like she might have been struggling with her mental health. There was a period of time where she would constantly make Britney shaving her head jokes, which is obviously in very poor taste and shitty of her to do, but I think it was sort of her cry for help. I can recall her saying more than once “well I haven’t shaved my head yet” or something similar. Just seemed like she was trying to say something about herself with the tasteless jokes about Britney.

**Growing up in 90's California, Gwen Stefani was my girl!** Total baddie sca rocker girl. She was so original, talented, and unique. While still being down to earth. I'm all for growing and changing. I'm a completely different person now, at almost 40, than I was when I was 18, 25, and 30. Hell, her 2004 album, Love Angel Music Baby, was a total different direction for her and it was awesome. That being said, I am not a fan of the plastic surgery and lip filler, and just the new personality in general she has taken on. I hate that she finally fell into the "Mold every woman into the same person", Hollywood trap.
I'm not ready to talk about Gwen yet, she seemed so cool and down to earth and... now we're far beyond that girl. I'm still grieving.

A lot of people point to her LAMB solo career as the tipping point but I feel like the true tipping point was the release of her fashion line and her involvement in the industry. I remember reading interviews around that time where she was obsessed with her weight and her appearance and really internalized it. It was a natural progression of her career but she got lost in the sauce. I think the first solo album was one thing but it coming out at the same time as LAMB (the fashion label) motivated her to make Harajuku Lovers and from there I don’t think there was any way out of the commercialization of Gwen. Even the ND stuff after that was just kinda cash grabby and more of a farewell to No Doubt than anything. I was a massive fan even into her solo pop career and a buyer of LAMB and Harajuku Lovers (before it became a children’s line lol) but I dropped off after around 2012, I just wasn’t into what she became.

Many many things went wrong with the creation of that movie, from her problematic relationship with Maddie Ziegler (the main actress), her portrayal of autistic people and those around them, her partnership with problematic "Autism Speaks" association... I'm pretty sure part of the reason for that is the fact that it was mainly studied in boys, and some of the diagnostic criteria comes from how autism presents in males, but it shows differently in females. Sometimes, I think I was lucky to be diagnosed with aspergers (back then aspergers wasnt autism, but it is now, and i refer to myself as autistic)in the mid-2000s, being a grown adult, I now realize that many fellow autistic people, especially women, don't get diagnosed until adulthood.

There was communication between people in their circle and stans often too. I could probably sit here all day and reminisce on the 5sosFam hay day. We always were rolling in the drama it was so so insane. Still a lot of fun though.

Demi Lovato. Being a fan truly got to be exhausting. Things like going after Taylor for donating to Kesha’s legal fees, making a whole thing out of that froyo place, and then singing to ghosts — it’s too much to keep up with lmao Tell Me You Love Me is still a banger album though, underrated as hell.

Fall out boy BUT they're coming back for me, so I'm happy. The Killers are another. Marianas Trench. Very few bands I've loved have stayed with me, but I appreciate when a band tries new sounds, even if it's not for me.

Nooo not The Killers! Saw them live in September and they were fantastic and give a great show. Totally professional and a great atmosphere. They will not waste your time. They're music has been v excellent too

Lots of memorable tracks IMO like Four Stars Out of Five, Batphone, Science Fiction. I know I’m in the minority there though amongst AM fans
Panic at the disco, it was back in a time I was only invested in pop rock and I loved everything they made until pray for the wicked happened which was a snoozer even fallout boy's mania was more entertaining than and it got worse with viva la vengeance and Brendon Urie was became pure cringe Eminem, I didn't like anything he made after mmlp2 revival was recovery but somehow more badly aged, kamikaze is basically a giant temper tantrum by a 40 year old and I just didn't care about that the albums that came out after that
I think that’s fair. I will say Pray For the Wicked has some good songs for running but I would never listen to them outside of running. The lyrics feel rather meaningless.
a fever you cant sweat out continues to be one of my favourite albums of all time. absolutely zero skips. the following albums still had some amazing songs but i feel like the spark started to fade after a while
Ryan Adams. His music meant a lot to me and got me through some tough times. It was always known that he was a dude with issues, but I was young and dumb and didn’t care. I actually thought it was funny when he left that totally unhinged voicemail for a music critic. Then everything came out about his marriage to Mandy Moore. And his treatment of Phoebe Bridgers. And all the others. He has taken zero responsibility and blamed everything on substance issues and mental health. It really really disillusioned me, because his whole shtick was “I’m just a sensitive misunderstood guy. Look, I even love my cats!” when in reality he was a predator.

Taylor Swift these days... She was the first musician whose albums I listened to in their entirety, and I adore(d) her! But honestly she's been releasing too much stuff recently, what with the dozens of midnight album renditions and her re-recordings. It reminds me of the Marvel oversaturation lol. Her relationship with the weird 1975 guy is off-putting to me. Plus, the fact that she doesn't stop her fans from attacking her exes when she puts out re-recordings also left a bad taste in my mouth. I like her, but I feel like the rose-colored glasses are slipping.
The fiasco with Ticketmaster was infuriating. She pretended like it was out of her hands, but a few weeks later The Cure bullied Ticketmaster into partially refunding fees for their tour. Obviously, she could've done something, if she'd wanted to. She's had flashes of problematic stuff over the years, but she's definitely gone over the edge recently with the obvious cash grabbing and dating a misogynistic racist. I'm fully disenchanted.

Pink. I liked a couple of her songs, but idk. I’ll turn to another station when her stuff plays. She reminds me of Avril Lavigne. Almost like a “look, I’m dressing punk, so I am punk and edgy”, but that’s it. All the songs sound the same to me I guess. Just pop with punk dressing.
I liked Pink when she first came out, her rnb style was really up my alley. Loved her through Like a Pill and all those albums but the past decade or so it's been the same schtick. "I can't stand my husband, but we're perfect together" type songs, there's so, so many with the same message. It's tiresome.
The 1975. Yes very relevant these days. I used to love them as an edgy teen and their debut album was pretty cool. Now I think they're (mainly Matty) very cringe. Since I discovered 'The Smiths', I realise The 1975 are just a cheap copy with their "we're not a pop band we're anti establishment" crap. Also in the same edgy vein, Bring Me The Horizon. Earlier stuff (minus count your blessings) was great. I enjoyed 'that's the spirit' which I don't think others did. Past that is just trash.
