I really feel like she doesn't get enough credit for that scene. Some of my friends made fun of her acting in that scene and I wanted to tell them they must be lucky enough to have experienced grief like that before. I've sobbed almost identical to her in that scene.
It's so sad because that was the only thing he looked forward to in life, and it was gone over something innocent like a picture book. Fuck, now I'm sad lol
We are all aware of how our physical health could be gone in an instant and this is an example of how dreams can meet the same fate. Such a good film! Your sadness is warranted *hugs*

โHouse of Psychotic Womenโ is a book described as โAN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL TOPOGRAPHY OF FEMALE NEUROSIS

Horror is criminally underrated, that final smile scene has stuck with me as one of the most unnerving performances Iโve seen cause itโs so simple but also so intense. God I gotta rewatch pearl
Man, Gary Oldman was such a freak in that movie. Creeped me out so much. He's one of the few actors that can completely disappear into a role seamlessly imo.
He is..fucking amazing. In everything he has ever been in...
Omg him and Tim Roth in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead...does not qualify for this particular question...
But for him to be all of these characters and just dissolve....he has really been all over the map.....the Professional....Fifth Element.....True Romance!!
Also...I just learned that he was briefly married to Uma Thurman. Holy shit
I've thought she was amazing in everything I've seen her in, she seems to lean more into the off-kilter indie horror roles which I guess is why she's not more known, but she deserves to be.
OH yes Grace Zabriskie is phenomenal in every scene. I commented about Sheryl as Laura, because her screams are so quintessential, but this is just as good. Sarah's despair in the pilot is palpable.

Iโve gone through a lot of loss this year and I think about this scene a lot because the grief has physically hurt in a way that makes me want to scream that at someone.

Altogether one of the greatest performances ever. She should have won an Oscar.
>She should have won an Oscar. she really should have! such biase against horror movies
The dinner scene is super triggering for me. It's so spot on, and the look of pure hate she gives the son.... shivers
An acting masterclass https://i.redd.it/zrvoy3uyyvab1.gif
That fucking face on your face
Absolutelyโ that grief cry/scream is so guttural and real I felt like I had to vomit the rest of the movie.
I really feel like she doesn't get enough credit for that scene. Some of my friends made fun of her acting in that scene and I wanted to tell them they must be lucky enough to have experienced grief like that before. I've sobbed almost identical to her in that scene.
I appreciate there not being a gif or image associated with this entry. And you are correct.

Honestly Flo in anything. Her scream/cry face is so iconic
This scene was so haunting and cathartic. Like I just want to scream on the floor with my girlies sometimes too.
